What people say

Alpha is a terrible warranty company

Alpha is a terrible warranty company. Do not use this company. They denied my claim on a structural mechanical failure because the component wasn’t listed… not excluded. Just not listed. When I told them I wanted to cancel my policy and get a refund, Alpha told me the prorated refund would be based on time AND MILEAGE! This is an unlimited mileage policy. I will take every chance I can get to deliver horrible reviews for this scam of a company. After 38 years in the automotive industry , I have enough contacts to have at least the impact on their business that they have had on my wallet.

Hi Grant, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your frustration with the outcome of your claim and cancellation request. Alpha Warranty Services has reviewed the details of your contract and claim, including the reason for the coverage decision. Your A+ contract is an itemized coverage plan that states, “Only the parts listed in the PLAN COVERAGE you selected are included.” The claim involved an oil filter housing leaking coolant, and the oil filter housing is not listed as a covered component under sections A1–A12. Line 1 of the “What Is Not Covered” section also excludes “Any part not listed in the PLAN COVERAGE YOU selected.” Based on these provisions, the claim was denied according to the terms of the contract. Regarding your cancellation, while your contract does provide unlimited mileage coverage, the cancellation provision states that refunds after the first 30 days are calculated on a pro rata basis using the number of days the contract was in force, less any claims paid and the applicable cancellation fee. An odometer statement is also required as part of the cancellation process. We understand you may disagree with these provisions, but the claim and cancellation terms are outlined in the contract provided at the time of purchase. Our team remains available at 800-662-5519 if you have additional questions. -Alpha Warranty Services

The absolute worst

The absolute worst. I bought the truck a month ago and the condenser has a hole on THE BACK of the condenser due to the condenser mount falling off, claim was denied due to “road debris” and the warranty told the dealership “if it’s road debris or not we’re not covering it”. I paid the for the premium warranty that covers absolutely nothing…. Save your money and get it from someone else EDIT… alpha warranty tried blaming the repair facility for saying it was road debris when in fact my insurance adjuster and the repair facility both said it was mechanical failure and the only one who said it was road debris was the only one who didn’t look at it which was Alpha warranty EDIT since I can’t reply. You’re lying again because the repair facility said it was mechanical and the insurance adjuster said it was mechanical. The only people who said it was road debris was the one who didn’t look at it which was you. I was standing right there when he was on the phone. Look at you trying to lie

Hi Carlos, Thank you for sharing this feedback. We apologize for the frustration you have experienced with this situation. Alpha Warranty has reviewed your claim, including the original coverage call between the adjuster and the repair facility. During that call, the repair facility's contact stated that the condenser had a hole caused by road debris. Based on that information, the claim was correctly denied, as road debris is an excluded cause under the contract. If the repair facility can provide documentation showing the condenser did not fail due to road debris, along with an explanation of how the hole occurred, we will review that information and reassess coverage. Please have the repair facility send this documentation to us or call 800-662-5519 for additional information. -Alpha Warranty Services

Alpha Warranty is a Scam

Alpha Warranty is a Scam. They do not pay claims as they should. They short cut procedures like when the A/C compressor had to be replaced on our MB GLS 450 they excluded the Drier and Expansion valve. ASA replacement procedures always call for the Drier and Expsnsion valve to be replaced. Now system still not fixed. There warrantys first say things are covered and then further in the warranty they “un-latch” themselves from what is in the paragraphs before just said are covered. It is written in the language of “”talking out both sides of there mouth Jibberish”. Total rip-off Scam. All you Dealers out there selling Alpha crap are also culprits due to there aiding and abetting these Crooks. UPDATE; the contact is under Pleas D Anderson II. The car is at Sowell MB in Schetrz Texas. Hey crooks at Alpha Rip Off warranty- just call your numb nut adjuster in San Antonio Texas. Alpha did not follow ASE standared compressor replacement protocol. They choose to SKIP the dryer and expansion valve replacement when they authorized the AC compressor to be replaced. They did not follow ASE A/C compressor change out protocols and it turned around and bit them right in there Cheap Crooked Ass!! DO NOT BUY ANY ALPHA WARRANTY. RUN !!

Broken valve claim denied

A small hole opened in one of my engine's cylinders. Engine failure is covered under the warranty, but Alpha denied the claim, saying the damage was caused by a burnt valve. When a valve breaks (as was diagnosed by the mechanic), fragments can be found on the seat or in the combustion chamber. These fragments may have a radial crack pattern or chordal fatigue marks that resemble the heat-induced cracking seen in a burnt valve. Without a close inspection (which was never performed by Alpha), the person reviewing photographs often mistakes these marks for a burn when they are actually caused by a broken valve piece. Broken valves also show torched or pitted valve faces which can look like surface damage from a burnt valve if not examined closely. It is important to note that if the failure was caused by a burnt valve, then the evidence would be consistent across all four valves. However, the burn-like symptoms were only found in cylinders 1, 3, & 4. Cylinder #2 lost immediate compression when the piece broke off, and thus no burn-like symptoms were found within it. The preponderance of evidence points to a broken valve, however Alpha hid behind the burnt valve excuse and denied both the initial claim and the appeal. Even more cowardly, they wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor. They hide behind their customer service agents. If I had to trust the leadership in Iran or Alpha, I'd go with Iran. 7/6/26 UPDATE: Alpha has doubled down on its burnt-valve theory and assured everyone that it conducted a "thorough review." Apparently, in Alpha's world, a thorough engineering investigation consists of looking at a few photographs and consulting Google. Meanwhile, the mechanics standing next to the engine—the ones who actually disassembled it, inspected the components, and observed the failure firsthand—have concluded that the damage was caused by a broken valve. But why rely on direct physical evidence when internet searches are available? Alpha also attributes the failure to "heat-related degradation" and "thermal stress." Groundbreaking discovery. Internal combustion engines are, in fact, hot. Valve temperatures routinely reach hundreds of degrees during normal operation, which is why engines are engineered with alloys, cooling systems, lubrication, and operating tolerances designed specifically for those conditions. Identifying heat in an operating engine as evidence of failure is roughly equivalent to identifying water as a contributing factor in a swimming pool accident. Not content with one explanation, Alpha has now added carbon buildup to its list of suspects. Every internal combustion engine accumulates some degree of carbon deposits over time. That's not a diagnostic finding; it's a description of how engines work. By that logic, perhaps the next root-cause analysis will cite the presence of motor oil, spark plugs, or atmospheric oxygen. What's particularly remarkable is that each new theory seems to appear only after the previous one fails to withstand scrutiny. First, the valve "burned." Then heat became the culprit. Now carbon buildup has entered the conversation. At this rate, I'm expecting Alpha's next report to conclude that the failure was caused by excessive exposure to gravity. The reality is simple: the mechanics who physically inspected the engine identified a broken valve. Alpha's experts reviewed photographs from a distance and produced a succession of increasingly creative explanations for why they shouldn't have to pay the claim. If the company intends to deny coverage, it would be more refreshing—and considerably more honest—to simply state that conclusion outright instead of conducting a scavenger hunt for alternative theories that happen to support the same outcome. After all, if a $4,000 repair claim requires this much imaginative engineering, one has to wonder whether the objective is determining the cause of the failure—or finding any reason imaginable to avoid paying for it.

Thanks for sharing your feedback, Edward. We apologize for the frustration you've experienced. After a thorough review, multiple adjusters and our resolutions team independently examined the inspection photos and repair facility findings. Based on the documented evidence, they consistently determined the valve showed signs of burning, carbon buildup, and heat-related degradation. While the repair facility believed a broken valve component caused the engine damage, the inspection findings indicated the valve had been weakened by thermal stress before the secondary failure occurred. Because the failure was determined to have originated from a burnt valve, which is excluded under the terms of the service contract, the claim denial was upheld. If you or your repair facility have additional diagnostic documentation that has not yet been submitted, we remain willing to review any new information through our escalation process.

A rock hit my windshield and a crack…

A rock hit my windshield and a crack formed within minutes. When I filed a claim with Alpha, they denied it saying the crack was too big. Terrible. Don't buy their warranty, it's a rip off.

Hi Glenn, We are sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating windshield damage can be. After reviewing your claim, our team determined that the damage reported exceeded the coverage limits outlined in your ElevateCare ancillary contract. Specifically, the contract excludes coverage for windshield cracks larger than six inches in length. Because the reported crack exceeded this limitation, we were unable to approve the claim. We understand this was not the outcome you were hoping for, especially when dealing with unexpected vehicle damage. While we strive to provide coverage whenever possible, all claims must be administered according to the terms and conditions of the service contract. If you have any questions about your coverage or would like to review your contract in more detail, our team would be happy to assist and can be reached at 800-662-5519. -Alpha Warranty Services
