So we have some squeaky breaks they fixed them but also they told us we needed our control arms fixed. Our car is still under warranty so of course we check with the dealership before saying okay to them which I'm so glad we did because our dealership said that this is the third person in the last two weeks that has come from brakes Plus saying they need new control arms the first one was still under bumper to bumper warranty the second one was also under a bumper to bumper warranty and the third one which was us we were outside but on our extended warranty it still would have covered it by $100, but none of those cars needed any kind of repair on a control arm, including ours. I used to trust brakes Plus and now I absolutely know they are crooks and I know for a fact because this is the third time in 2 weeks that they have sent to my dealership and that's just my dealership so I'm curious to know how many other people have been told they need their control arms replaced and have not gotten a second opinion and had them replaced and they didn't need to be. Huge shoutout to David and Tyler at Brakes Plus! They were absolutely amazing at their work and made the whole process super smooth and stress-free. I'm glad friend in Phoenix suggested I check out the one up here in Prescott Valley. It was a nice experience overall and I feel work was well done. I am quite sure it was hundreds less than where I normally take my car for repair- where they couldn't take me until next week/ have to leave my car the entire day, etc. The Brakes Plus took me without an appointment, job was a few hours. The mgr(?) kept me informed throughout the process.
I am glad to recommend and give them a 5 Star!

Will never get my business again . My back breaks where fixed a month ago no squeaking the person told me I had about a month before the front breaks will start squeaking and he was right . So I took my car to brakes plus to fix the front and they did just that for about 380$ . My car was still squeaking after they fixed them. I took it back they said they would replace them . After I left they still were squeaking so I called and took it back AGAIN. They called to say it’s the back breaks they can charge me for the back and upgrade my front which is 400$ more dollars ontop of the 380$ I just paid them . Its not the back breaks my car is squeaking from the front and the back brakes where just replaced and was no longer squeaking . I wasted my money with this place and breaks are still squeaking . Very disappointed

I had a great experience at Brakes Plus. I didn't have an appointment, but they still managed to get me in and out in a very timely manner, which I really appreciated.

Brakes Plus took excellent care of me. The entire staff was friendly and professional. I went to the new store on 80th and Sheridan. Tyler find all the issues I had with my car and made sure the master mechanic Zach did all the work. Grayson and Kory also helped with my process and were excellent. They replaced my struts, motor mounts tie rods, control arms, rear differential, and even replaced my broken rear windshield wiper blade, a light that was out and secured my wheel well plastic that was coming undone. They gave me a great price with lots of coupons and on top of those also gave me my military discount. Thank you Brakes Plus for your excellent service and repairs at a great price!

Long-Time Customer; Service Has Seriously Declined
We’ve been bringing our vehicles to Brakes Plus on Abbot Lane for over five years, and the difference in service lately is hard to ignore. What used to be a reliable, well-run shop has clearly gone downhill.
Most recent example: my wife had a 10:00 AM appointment for a simple oil change and dropped her car off early (around 9–9:30). There was zero communication all day. When she finally called, they claimed they had tried to reach her—this has now happened multiple times with me and my son as well, always with the same we tried to call and/or “we left a voicemail” excuse that simply isn’t true. One twice ok. But not all as often as it’s happened.
She was told the car would be ready at 4:30 PM. We showed up at 4:30… and watched them just then pulling her car onto the lift. That tells you everything you need to know about how appointments are being handled.
They then said it would be “another half hour.” We left and ended up picking the car up the next morning. On top of that, they were supposed to rotate the tires and didn’t even attempt it—or call to ask about the lug nut key.
This isn’t a one-off issue. The same thing has happened with my car and my son’s car: early drop-off for scheduled appointments, followed by all-day delays and poor communication, with work not completed until closing time (or later).
To be fair, their pricing is still reasonable and better than the dealerships. But the customer service that used to set this place apart is no longer there.
If management is paying attention: the problem isn’t just the delays it’s the lack of communication, accountability, and RESPECT for customers’ time. Fix that, or you’re going to keep losing long-time customers.

I trust Brakes Plus in Litchfield Park with all my cars. They are amazing! I recently needed my windshield wipers fixed and the manager was able to explain to me what happened, how to avoid it in the future and kindly fixed it for me. He didn't need to go through all of that but the explanation was huge as he gave me information and knowledge that will prevent this from happening again. The moment you walk in there is always a warm welcome, friendly service and excellent communication. I will take my cars no where else.

I had a great experience at Brakes Plus on Precinct Line Rd in North Richland Hills. I went in for a state inspection after another shop couldn’t complete it because they said there was no power to the diagnostic port.
The team at Brakes Plus quickly figured out the issue — it turned out to be a blown fuse. They fixed it right away, re-ran the inspection, and got me taken care of without any hassle.
I really appreciated how fast, honest, and efficient they were. They didn’t try to upsell anything or make it more complicated than it needed to be. Just straightforward, professional service.

bought a car with “brand new brakes” done by this shop. pads were backwards caliper pin wasnt there and the rotor was bent. had 2 year warranty and they said it was voided. get real mechanics before you work on something you dont know how to do.

We had something of our car fall down and was scraping the ground. We went to Brakes plus on Woodmen Road in Colorado Springs. We registered our car and sat in customers area. Another professional employee greeted us then we talked about our car. It was not long at all waiting. They knew we wanted to cut cost and do the basics. The employees did just that and we walked out without having to pay for such a simple job. It a great place to have your car fixed.

We got our oil changed at 1PM on a Saturday, came home, went back out to drive the car at 7pm to go get food and there was oil all over my driveway and car was leaking oil. Not only that, Brakes Plus tried telling us we needed new brakes when we just got new brakes at another place. Dont trust this place .
So we just found out that Brakes Plus forgot to put the Oil Cap back on the engine, so now we have Oil all over our engine and driveway. This is a mess and extremely upsetting thinking we could trust this place, on top of that they charged us $113 for an oil change, Ridiculous. I came back to add, not only did they mess up by not putting the oil cap back on. We discovered, they filled no fluids, did not change the oil, there was old oil still in our car, you can tell the difference between used oil and clean and ours what was left after spilling all over the engine was not clean. Absolutely HORRIBLE place.

I am a loyal customer of Brakes Plus at McClintock and Rio Salado in Tempe, AZ. I needed an alignment and oil change and was done in less than 30 minutes. My Honda drives noticeably better with the alignment and I feel I have more control over my car. That’s a good feeling! Plus I was happy with the price. I have had several maintenance jobs done by Store Manager Tanner and his team and have been pleased .
