I contacted Community Tax cause they had a good rating. Spoke with a nice guy who explained the process and say it would take 6-9 months. The communication was absolutely horrible. I would call and ask to speak with my case worker, they would say she'll call you. Never got a call back. I would send emails asking for a phone call and get nothing. They worked on my taxes and it took them six months to complete. Along with the fact they doubled my tax debt and did nothing to reduce my debt. Mot only did they mot reduce my debt, they got me a payment plan I could have negotiated myself. I would not recommend this company to solve you tax issues.

When it became clear I needed a tax advocate firm, my preparer pointed me toward Community Tax. Once they became familiar with my needs, they wasted no time in establishing their position as my legal advocates to the IRS. The end result was an installment agreement that I can manage. As soon as Community Tax completed their work and withdrew their representation, I was shocked to receive a letter from the IRS withdrawing from the installment agreed to, and demanding I reset my payments nearly 30% higher. Fortunately I learned Community Tax offers an affordable monthly service to assist with any problems that might occur after the initial problems are resolved. When I showed them that the IRS wasted no time trying to back out of our agreement, they went to work, and the IRS returned to the original terms with little to no delay. Community Tax is professional, makes no promises they can't keep, and have a service that, in my case, had my back. Their business model is forward looking. They have my trust, and my highest recommendation.
