This was a great gift from my kids for Christmas! I enjoyed working on it and always looked forward to my next box. There was just one episode that was a bit too much in the way of having to figure out how to see the clue. It was fun and I would love to do another!
We enjoyed the process of solving the case but were kind of disappointed by the lack of closure and explanation once it was solved. Dinner of the boxes were solved on intuition including the final chapter so we were kind of confused about what actually happened in the story. But we enjoyed the experience overall.
Love HAK!!! The little details and the cool "prizes" (clues) in each box are amazing! Customer Service is quick and friendly. If you like puzzles/mysteries this subscription box is for you.
We are so happy to hear Customer Service took care of you. We do pride ourselves on our commitment to our members.
We have enjoyed this so much. There’s something for everyone: picture clues, things to read and analyze, secret messages to decode, and souvenirs to enjoy along with the game. We love the stories, too!
How amazing that you found a great activity you can all enjoy, we understand that it is so hard to find something that captures everyone’s attention! We are so happy Hunt A Killer has accomplished that!
Love love love! Being a mom of two (and one of those being a small toddler), I don’t have much time for hobbies or time for myself but this subscription allows me to spend a couple hours after everyone goes to bed to focus on something that I find interesting, without the interruption of other people. I am a problem solver at my core and this is something that really gets me interested and focused - three hours can go by like 15 minutes!
We are so happy to hear you have found an experience that helps you unwind and speed some much needed "me" time. We hope you continue to love your Hunt A Killer journey.
Thanks Thomas, glad you found the case challenging!
I have finished two Hunt a Killer murders and enjoyed them to the end. The only thing I can say is make sure when you open that box you have the time to spend on it, like a good book you don’t want to put it down until the end.
Our team works so hard on bring the best and most authentic experience we can to you our audience, we are so happy we have hit the mark
Hunt a Killer is a great way to get your family or friends together for a fun night or nights. My family and I had a blast deciphering clues to uncover new evidence to get us closed to solving the mystery. We could not wait to get the next box to keep going. In fact as soon as we completed the objective for the current box we immediately asked for the next one to get it sooner. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new and exciting activity to help bringing family and friends together for something fun to do.
We are so glad you are loving your experience and we hear you on the sweet pain of waiting for that next box. But the thrill when it arrives in unprecedented.
Had a fun date night playing these games.
We are so happy you had a great date night and included us! Happy hunting.
Way more fun than I expected it to be. Was finally persuaded by the thousands of podcast advertisements I heard, and I was not disappointed!
So happy to hear we exceeded your expectations! Thank you for your review.
Everything about Hunt A Killer is amazing. First the games. They have great storylines, puzzles, and the materials are top quality. It amazes me how realistic they are, and the depth they go into. Plus the staff are an awesome group of people. They make you feel like you’re part of a family.
We pride ourselves on our community and availability, always trying to ensure we have a game play guru on hand when our members need us most!
Very addictive Fun to do by yourself, with a spouse or enjoy with the whole family. I'll never stop playing
Thank you so much, we will never stop giving you a great case to solve!
I got this as a Christmas present, it is by far my favorite gift!! So fun to play alone or with others. Really makes you think!!
Thanks so much for sharing your Christmas with us! Happy Hunting.
I love these kits! Very immersive and well built puzzles
Thanks so much, we are glad the ciphers were up to par!
Winter in the real upstate New York can present a challenge to find things to do. Especially if you don’t ski, snowmobile or ice fish. HAK was a shot in the dark for some entertainment. At first I thought it a bit pricey but in the end well worth it. Our first case was “Mallory Rock”. We received our first box and dove in. Great for mental exercise. My wife and I loved working together to complete the assignment. I waited a month for the second box and again we were totally absorbed. I discovered we could shorten our wait for box three by sending in a request. So we were getting a box about every two to three weeks until we successfully solved the case. We decided to continue with the subscription and that says a lot about our opinion of HAK.
Thank you for your amazing review. Our writers have worked tirelessly to bring a realistic narrative and an intriguing and in-depth mystery that keeps you guessing at every turn, we are so happy you love their creations.
So intricately detailed and well thought out! I didn’t know what to expect when I received this as a gift but I was so pleasantly surprised!
We are so happy to hear you are finding your experience immersive! Happy Hunting Detective
Awesome to hear Amanda! Thank you!
My family and I played the game. We worked together and thinking together. We did two games. The first one was harder than the second.
I’ve had the HAK subscription almost 2 years now. Absolutely love it. I’ve completed 5 cases (6 episode ones) and 2-3 stand-alone games. I love them, I just wish you could pick a difficulty level. Some things are very easy to get. I like the codes the best. I get some may want a less difficult case. But at a subscription level I feel like they should be a little harder. Maybe just me. But absolutely love them and want to at some point get the double monthly subscription.
Thanks Kayla! Have you checked out the Facebook group? There is a list with ratings on difficulties there that may help you in your decision,
I enjoyed it so much I requested each of the monthly boxes early as possible.
The anticipation of the conclusion of a story and the excitement of a new case to sink into! What could be better?
