I love the fact that these boxes make me use my head and are not the same codes and story lines every new box I get. For the most part I do these alone and are challenging enough for me. Thank you. I will continue to buy more. Lol

We are so happy you love all the little details that really bring the stories to life.

I’m having so much fun when I played their game titled Mallory Rock!

I’m having so much fun playing detective! Since I watch a ton of true crime stories, I’ve always been interested in unsolved crimes and how they haven’t yet been solved. Also interesting to see the steps a crime is solved and all of the details it’s no surprise that for some crimes are harder to solve and also have proof to back up your reasoning. Long story short, one of my dream jobs would have been to be part of a detective team in working on crime cases. Due to a back injury I never went for it so Hunt A Killer is as close to putting myself in the role of an actual detective. I also like reading the details and catching clues that maybe had been previously missed. Until crimes don’t exist, which sadly they can’t stop unless evil people stop, the best I can do is help solve crimes if even in a game. Maybe this helps people in the real world think outside the box. The more forensics that keep coming forward, the more likely unsolved crimes can be solved and to help families loved ones with answers to what happened. People don’t just disappear, there’s always a reason for someone going missing we just have to deep dive. In this game, I so far played the Mallory Rock game and I loved it! I’m looking forward to solving the game after it which is in my mailbox today as I can track the order which is great. This game really helps your mind learn and during these covid times, it’s good to keep our minds busy with deep thinking. There was a few times I thought I couldn’t solve the issue but I did after thinking like a detective I think should. You could play this game with others, but I’m playing this by myself. I catch myself solving a portion and yelling out the answer lol makes my family laugh. I didn’t play the game all at once I played the game anytime I wanted. I also ended up ordering the monthly box ahead, meaning if I finished a box early, which is a great feature or I’d be antsy waiting for the box. It was great, well worth it, using your brain power, and always exciting. I really could go on and on Enjoy everyone! I know I did!!!

Had blast playing this

Had blast playing this. Got the whole family involved in Pennsylvania. Tipped off the family in Virginia to how much fun and interesting it was to play, and they started playing their own box sets. Have two more boxed sets on the way now.

Not worth $100 for Hunt A Killer | Agatha Christie’s The Mystery at Hunter’s Lodge

I purchased Hunt A Killer | Agatha Christie’s The Mystery at Hunter’s Lodge for $100! I was disappointed that the lock on the canvas bag was already unlocked when I bought it which RUINED a huge part of the game but also I’m missing a pocket watch and potentially other pieces. I don’t find it fair that I spent $100 and didn’t get the full pieces. Now I can’t even play the game as intended because I’ve already had a huge part of the game spoiled by having an unlocked bag. I reached out to Hunt a Killer and was told initially that the pocket watch wasn’t a part of the included products and they just ignored the fact that I let them know the canvas bag was set to unlock with any code you put in. Total waste of the experience and my $100 I notice they don’t respond to negative reviews on here and only praise the positive ones so I’m not sure I expect to receive a solution.

Believe the hype

I received ‘death at a dive bar’ as a Christmas gift and as soon as I played it I was hooked! I immediately ordered the current season ‘Mallory Rock’. My husband and I went to work and couldn’t wait to receive our monthly box. Literally. We selected to ship all of our boxes early and finished it within 2 months! Such a fun game that is extremely well made. Will definitely be ordering more

Our vision for Hunt A Killer is to immerse our members in their own unique experience, much like a TV show where you are the lead detective on the case. We are so glad we have accomplished that for you!

Me and my husband love Hunt a killer

Me and my husband love Hunt a killer! We play it as a date night once a month! We just finished Mallory Rock and can't wait for our next box!

We love to hear from couples who are working on Hunt A Killer together. It is a great way to build your strengths and discover your detective weaknesses. —

Absolutely loved our first six month subscription. We always looked forward to our box. It’s short enough to do on a Sunday night when we have had a busy weekend. A few of the puzzles didn’t seem to make sense even after we looked up the solution, but my assumption is we could’ve also engaged with Facebook community group for HAK. We simply didn’t because neither of us have a Facebook. Some days we wish we had the next box immediately simply because we felt we solved too quickly.

Hi Autumn did you know you can request your next box early?!?

Joint Christmas Gift

My wife and I decided to try this out as a joint Christmas gift. We overall very much enjoyed breaking into each box for Mallory Rock. Here are some of my pros/cons of the experience. Pros - it was something different to do rather than sit around and watch tv - The physical and electronic clues are very well done and enjoyable to research - the story is enjoyable and the characters are fun to research and learn about - the clues ranged from easy to difficult which hooked us. We would go to bed and wake up the next morning talking out how to solve clues Cons - the first several boxes feel front loaded while the last remaining boxes felt short on information - the email exchange disappeared between boxes and even after you’ve sent the message and cleared out. Would like the see the message remain between boxes. - the elimination of characters was a little quick. There are a ton of available characters to choose from and the elimination of excess characters seemed too quick for our taste. Keeping all available characters on the table and allowing the user to eliminate them seems more enjoyable. Even if eliminating multiple people at once would be preferable than the narrator eliminating them for you. - exchange of items received for discount on next box/season or money back. You get a lot of great props for clues with each box, but what do you do with them once the season has been completed? You’re unable to play again because much like a movie or book you know the ending. Returning some of the props for future discount of additional seasons or money back would be great. - iPad/tablet support is greatly needed. It’s awesome to be able to review emails and look at websites on your phone, but it needs to carry over to tablets and iPad. You’re unable to clearly view anything on the iPad and it doesn’t support rotation of the screen in either environment. Think this would be a huge improvement. - final follow up. I’d like to see a final follow up email from Grey Investigations or from the person who hired me, in this case Gwen. I’d like to see an email about if anyone was arrested, how multiple people where involved and what happened to other characters. Overall the experience was great and we purchased another season to enjoy.

10/10 experience

I have done the Mallory Rock investigation so far, and let me tell you, I won’t be stopping anytime soon. I got it as a Christmas gift and became obsessed with this amazing entertainment experience. I really like the cyphers and the way the game engage different boxes together. Some of them were easier than others, but every episode kept me super entertained and me and my boyfriend had great date nights figuring out the killer.

We made this a family night and had a great time, but we had to keep ordering the boxes to be delivered right away. It’s too long to wait a month to get the next box. Some of the answers to clues were too obvious, but overall we loved it. We have already ordered our next kit and we are ready to get started!

Hunt a Killer was an incredible subscription box that my boyfriend and I purchased for one of our monthly date nights. We got so excited about the next box and getting to the next step in the case that we couldn’t stretch it out to 6 months. We finished the case in less 3 months. The case was very detailed, and the puzzles varied in difficulty level. I highly recommend Hunt a Killer to everyone, especially my fellow crime junkies!
