They dont deliver all your items but…
They dont deliver all your items but you still get charged. They probably stole the items. Either way, I paid for a bunch of stuff and only received half the order.

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about unhelpful customer support agents who completely failed to resolve ongoing issues, provided no assistance, and abruptly ended chats. People also experienced severe delivery delays, with many orders arriving hours later than scheduled, missing essential products, or being dropped off at incorrect locations. However, some people also noted that certain scheduled deliveries arrived on time and that the items received were fresh. Despite these occasional positive experiences, customers remained deeply frustrated by unexpected high service fees, hidden costs, and an overall lack of accountability from management.

Website stopped showing Fresh Fund labels. Messaged support twice. Once on mobile app, the chat page is extremely slow, not usable. Once over web site, was able to get hold an agent, who didn't read the issue I was reporting at all. Just asked me to call Fresh Fund. I asked to report the issue. The agent said allow them to review my chat for 2-3 minutes, about a minute or 2 later, I got a message saying they received no response from me and ended the chat. Absolutely worst customer service ever. One star is too many.
In general, I would say that the quality of the shopping is good enough. It’s not exactly what I would do, but it’s good enough. What bothers me is that they charge an extra 10% overall on groceries from what it would cost me if I shopped in the store myself, and then there’s always a service fee. If the shopper gets that money, then I’m fine with it, but if Instacart gets it, I’m not fine with it. I would be more inclined to renew my membership if I could choose my shopper based on the ones who do the best job. In spite of the up charge and the not always perfect shopping experience, I have to give them credit for refunding anything that came ruined, or deducting something that was thrown into my bag by mistake that I didn’t order, or the fact that even if they charge me an extra 10%, I’m not paying for the gas to drive there. When there’s a snowstorm, or it’s icy out, I’m grateful to have Instacart.
in the past week i have tried ordering grocery items twice, first time it was delivered to the wrong house and they said they can only refund me in 7-15 business days. The second time i received a completely different order and again said they can only refund me or give me credit. Why can’t you redeliver the items i paid for??? The responses were all automated and clearly a script i will never be shopping using that app again.
Very deceptive practices. Extra charges not disclosed. Amazing they are allowed to continue operating.
Do not order! I just contacted customer service because a driver forgot part of my order (that I paid for). I had ordered these items because I was cooking them for dinner at that moment. They stated that they had given me a refund. I didn't want a refund. They wanted me to order in app again, pay another fee and tip another driver. When I explained this they said well you don't HAVE to tip the driver. WHAT A HORRIBLE THING TO SAY. Awful company that doesn't care about its customers or employees.
Instacart is the worst company around from missing items to whole orders not being delivered and when you file a complaint it's always nothing they can do to fill out the appeal so they can investigate it but it always to turn out not in your favor for example today I placed a order on June 21, 2026 with Walmart that I been waiting for 2days because I had to keep rescheduling because they couldn't find a shopper but when I checked the status of the order it says it was delivered but going downstairs there was no order and there is always a guard in the lobby and he told me that no order was delivered, when I went back to find out what happen the chat was disabled so I was unable to reach the shopper and the photo they sent me was black so I had nothing to go by,when I notified Instacart they told me that there is nothing they could do to fill out the appeal letter, the shopper stole my groceries knowing that Instacart would do nothing about it,when something like this would happen it should come out of the shoppers pocket I bet then you would get your stuff,I'm a disabled senior and I'm being tooken average of, someone has to do something with this company
My Costco Same-Day order (fulfilled by Instacart) was marked delivered, but nothing was delivered. The delivery photo used as proof of delivery appeared to be the same photo that was used for one of my deliveries months earlier, which raises serious concerns about privacy, order history, and how delivery photos are stored and accessed. I asked Instacart support how a delivery photo from a previous order could be reused as proof of delivery on a different date. Instead of providing an explanation, my concern was "escalated" and the chat ended without answering the question. The order was not visible in my Instacart order history because it was placed through Costco, which made reporting the problem unnecessarily difficult. The Costco support flow repeatedly redirected me to generic help pages, and reaching a live person required multiple attempts. A refund request was eventually submitted, but the larger issue remains unanswered: how was a delivery photo from a previous order reused as proof of delivery for a completely different order months later? Until Instacart explains that, I remain concerned about customer privacy and the handling of delivery records.
For the fifth time shoppers tonight cannot pick the right vegetables. I asked for three heads of lettuce and every time I get freaking cabbage when am I going to do with cabbage for salads. They need to get an education on vegetables
MODERN DAY SLAVERY... SHAMELESS COMPANY THINKS THEY CAN BUNDLE 4 ORDERS TOGETHER AND PAY 10 BUCKS INCLUDING HEAVY PAY ON 10 WATER CASES. INSTACART SUCKS AND AS A SHOPPER I PRAY ALL CUSTOMERS STOP USING THIS SERVICE!!!!
Orders kept getting pushed back. No explanation, 3xs order sat for hours with no service, like the order never went out like their throwing blaming on drivers and it never gets filled...instalation is badly lagging in getting orders filled and delivered
I honestly have no idea how these people stay in business. They advertise all these wonderful things where you can get deliveries from local businesses. I am disabled and live three blocks from a grocery store but they are constantly unable to find a shopper for my order. So disappointed every time.
Booked a time for delivery of allergy medicine and got bumped to another day! They had all day to decide this time slot was not available and yet thought is was best to bump me… if I had known 8 hours earlier I would have scheduled medication from another store ! They have absolutely no excuse for offering delivery times that are not available!
I placed an order today that was delivered to the wrong address. Both the delivery photo and the delivery GPS marker provided by instacart show the order was delivered to the wrong address. The chat agent also confirmed this and offered to refund the order. A moment later he said nevermind and refused to refund the order and cancel my membership. I've submitted screenshots of the GPS delivery location and the chat to the BBB and ftc and am also leaving it here to warn others of this literal fraud as I know others they've done this to as well. User BEWARE! And please report all fraud to your card issuer.
I would never order from here again people need to delete the app I spent almost $200 on groceries my apartment number was on the app they could see it the person delivering the groceries claimed that it wasn't apartment number that's a lie they said they returned my groceries that's a lie they kept the groceries I called instacart and had person after person after person who was not in this country answer the phone I told them this was all the money that I had I have no more money they said they will have to refund my money even though they took my money out immediately and the person said they could not find my apartment again that is a lie they scam people they keep people's debit card number this app is horrible it's trash delete the app
Drivers don't give a crap about customers. They deliver to the wrong address and take no accountability. They don't follow instructions and don't respond to chat communication. Don't use as they are unreliable. Their complaint line is bull crap as it is slow and unresponsive. Waste of time. They are fraud artists.
I shop for Instacart and this is the second time I have not been paid appropriately. I delivered 6 deliveries in dc for a promotion for 80 dollars for six deliveries in dc on the 14 th of June. I did six like I said but the system was only recognizing five so I was shorted about 30 dollars. I alerted management but nothing was done I was told it would be reviewed and that was it. I am not doing another promotion I will think twice before doing it all.
If I could leave no stars I would, as angry reviewers say. I placed an order while dealing with an incredibly drawn out family matter that required me to be awake for over 24 hours. This order was "delivered" and when I nor the people with me could find it I called the driver, Natari. The phone number was never set up and disconnected leaving me to begin a now 2 day swarm of phone calls with Uber eats and instacart "managers". It has been "escalated", told I am not eligible for a refund and hung up on. I spoke with managers Tracy and Ben and was told I would get a resolution. My resolution is reporting this with my bank and being a thorn in your side because I have the time. :)
The system tricked me into adding my entire june first order to my june 16 order. Now I have a lot o f food that will just go bad. A couple hundred bucks. cs said it was m y own fault. I guess i am not smart enuf to use instacart.
Horrible experience instacart allows digital payments as a back up in case you forget your card. I shopped an order for 10 minutes drove 10 minutes to get here only for the payment to decline. They don’t offer any reimbursement for your time or gas. I hate this app! To make matters worse they have ti cancel the batch which affects your cancellation rate.
