Terrible experience with this…

Terrible experience with this organisation. Very pushy salesman, poor customer service who can't speak English well. And alot of IT and connection glitch during the usage of the App. It is not worth for the steep price we paid. Please stay away.

Misleading and Unfair Package Policy

Misleading and Unfair Package Policy – Avoid I was pushed into buying a long package last year, but at no point were we told that the lessons had to be completed within a strict time limit. This was very important for my son, who was only 6 years old at the time and could only manage 30-minute lessons per week. I explained this clearly to customer service, and they reassured me that it was fine — if needed, we could arrange extra lessons later. After 6–7 months, they suddenly told us we had to purchase another package. I objected, since we still had enough lessons left for another 5–6 months. They agreed at the time and did not push us further. However, when we had 6 lessons remaining, they abruptly stopped our access and said we had to renew immediately. This is an absurd way to treat customers — cutting off access to lessons already paid for in order to force another purchase. On top of this, after 10 months they changed my son’s teacher without any explanation, and we weren’t even given the chance to say goodbye or thank you. We will certainly not be renewing, and I cannot recommend this course to anyone who values honesty and transparency. For reference, these were the types of packages they tried to push: Offer 1: Purchase 36 lessons → 10 free lessons + 6 bonus lessons (total 52) – $630 due immediately Offer 2: Purchase 96 lessons → 8 free lessons + 36 bonus lessons (total 140) – $1,646/€1,506 due immediately The way this is handled feels misleading and customer-unfriendly.

LingoAce recently forced all teachers…

LingoAce has become a nightmare for teachers. They recently forced everyone to switch to Payoneer for payments, telling us it’s Payoneer or you don’t have a job anymore. Many teachers asked to use Wise (which has much lower fees), but they refused. Now, we are stuck paying huge bank and transfer fees—mine were over $70 this month, and other teachers have reported fees over $150. Lingo refuses to budge. It gets worse. Their lateness penalties are beyond unreasonable. I was only 10 seconds late to a class, taught the entire lesson, even added extra time at the end—and they still fined me $15. That means I literally had to pay them to teach my own class. These policies are punishing, unfair, and show zero respect for the teachers who keep their platform running.

Dear Ben, Thank you for your feedback, and we understand your concerns. Regarding the transition to Payoneer, our goal was to ensure more reliable and consistent international payments for teachers worldwide. We understand that fees can vary depending on region and banking partners, and we are exploring additional options, including Wise, to make payouts more cost-effective in the future. On the lateness penalty you mentioned, being fined for a 10-second delay should not happen. We've reached out via Trustpilot, please share more information and your registered email with it, so we can investigate this specific case further. We deeply value the teachers who make learning possible for our students, and your feedback is very important for us to improve. Best regards, LingoAce

Was approached for a free trial by a…

Was approached for a free trial by a lady at Kitztopia, in exchange for Indoor Playground tickets if we sign up for the trial. The trial was ok, and the lesson was interactive. However, the nightmare came after the pushy customer service agent started to message me to sign up for the class. The customer service was rude and pushy and blamed me for not being prompt in my replies when I didn't reply to her messages within the day. Such a lousy experience and needless to say, I will never sign up with Lingoace. By the way, the free ticket was a scam too, it never happened.
