Unfair Check-In Requirements and Very Disappointing Customer Service
I paid $1,598 for a LingoAce package that included 79 lessons, with 24 bonus lessons requiring social media check-ins. During the sales process, I was not clearly informed that I would need to complete 48 check-ins, limited to once per week, taking nearly a year to unlock all the bonus lessons. I later learned that another customer purchased a comparable large lesson package with the same total number of lessons but was only required to complete 6 check-ins. Why does one customer need only 6 check-ins while I am required to complete 48 for the same total number of lessons? I have repeatedly contacted the sales representative, customer service, and a supervisor. They keep telling me that my case has been escalated, but no clear resolution has been provided. The sales team was extremely responsive before payment, but the after-sales service has been extremely disappointing. I am requesting that LingoAce unlock all my remaining bonus lessons without any further mandatory check-in requirements. I hope senior management will address this unfair difference and provide a clear written resolution.
Dear Mike, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations at this point. We’d like to review your case and help clarify the situation. The setup is very efficient
The setup is very efficient, the customer service is excellent, and the program offers great flexibility.
Ignorant Reviews and Unforthcoming Onboarding
I do not like that they offered a discount for classes saying there would be "1 sharing check in opportunity" which actually means they will require me to make a post on my social media and leave it there for 12 hrs. They also asked me to write this review before I have even started the classes...which means that most of these reviews are from people who haven't actually tried the product. The onboarding process lowered my faith in this company.
Dear Nichole, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of the onboarding process have affected your confidence in LingoAce. The social media sharing opportunity is part of the promotional offer discussed during enrollment, designed to help more families discover our programs. Our review invitations are sent automatically after a payment is made. Since you had already experienced a trial class with us, we hoped the invitation would be a chance for you to share your thoughts about LingoAce. We understand that the timing may have felt a little unexpected, and we appreciate you letting us know how you felt. We value your feedback and want every family to feel heard and supported throughout their learning journey with us. We’d welcome the opportunity to address any concerns you may still have. Our course consultant has been trying to reach you, and we hope you’ll connect with them so we can better understand your concerns and provide you with follow-up support. Best regards, LingoAce
Both my kids and I like the trial…
Both my kids and I like the trial classes. The teacher is very encouraging.
My son's teacher is great but costumer service sucks
My son's teacher is a FIVE STAR;she is engaging and patient. But I'm frustrated by their strict cancellation policy. We recently experienced an unexpected power outage and were unable to provide the required advance notice, and the lesson was still counted as consumed. There is no flexibility for true emergencies, which feels unreasonable and unfair. To make matters worse, their customer service is unresponsive; my initial inquiry about this issue was completely ignored. For the nearly two thousand dollars I paid, I expect much better customer service and support.
Dear Parent, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet your expectations. We take your concerns seriously, however, we are unable to locate your account. Could you kindly share more information via Trustpilot? Our team would like to look into your case and follow up with you directly. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Best regards, LingoAce
Terrible and total misrepresentation
Terrible and total misrepresentation. I am utterly disappointed. China customer service has improved dramatically. This is shocking.

Teachers are great
Teachers are great, there’s a lot of different teachers, and you have the option to switch teachers when ever. Our teacher also encourages our kid to chat. And they discuss about everyday topics like what they ate for lunch, what they do the weekend. Something different then just the class topics
Horrible communication
Multiple spams across multiple emails text and phone calls All asking the same questions How can you be teaching a language with such poor communication

Payment options
Overall was fine except I used to be able to pay via Zelle which was really fast, low cost and convenient. Now only options are credit cards or bank transfer. The bank transfer would require me to go to bank and do a wire transfer, which also incur a cost and also time. I. Would prefer a much more convenient option for electronic money payment system that is low cost without additional processing fee.
Dear Parent, Thank you for being a long-time LingoAce customer and for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry that the current payment options have made the process less convenient. We’ll share your feedback with the relevant team as we continue exploring ways to make payments easier and more cost-effective for our families. Best regards, LingoAce
Recommending the LingoAce…
My girl has been enjoying the LingoAce Chinese lessons so far. The teachers are deligated and passionate about teaching and my girl is happy learning Chinese words now.
Problems with class timing not fixed yet. Good teachers.
Problems with booking not fixed yet. Once money received, less proactive in assisting in making sure classes are booked correctly and not clear in communication.

Excellent 1-1 learning playform
Very thorough and caring customer care. Very thoughtful and rigorous curriculum. Kids are engaged and learning, parents are joyful. Highly recommend.
Over priced lessons and insensitive coordinators
We pay about$23 a class for the math classes. They say this is for US students but they don’t observe US federal holidays. When we don’t attend the class since it was a public holiday, they still charge you and say they observe different holidays and ask you to listen to recording. But there is no 1 hour recording since the kids didn’t attend the class. They only care about making money. The teacher would bluntly say that the kids are not doing their homework. There are 2 ways you can submit assignments. Either you print and write on the document and scan it back or do an interactive online assignment. I spend about 2-3 hours a week helping my kid to do assignments but his teacher would bluntly say he doesn’t do homework at all. Later she said she only checks the scanned copies and not the interactive assignments. I regret taking these lessons and paying upfront for them. Not worth spending $23 a class for group lessons.
Dear parent, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with us has been frustrating so far. We take your concerns seriously and would like to better understand what happened, particularly regarding the holiday arrangements and homework submissions. Could you kindly share the contact details linked to your LingoAce account via Trustpilot? Our team would like to look into your case and follow up with you directly. Thank you, and we hope to have the opportunity to address your concerns. Best regards, LingoAce
Great teacher you provided.
Love the classes
Love the classes. I’m not a part of Facebook or WeChat, so the bonus classes aren’t an option for me in the new pricing scheme.
Dear parent, Thank you for your feedback, and we’re glad to hear that you’re enjoying the classes. We understand your concern about the bonus class options and will share your feedback with the relevant team for consideration. Thank you for your kind understanding. Best regards, LingoAce
Overall is good but sales tactics may need to be observed
Consultant is very prompt and replies with good information and friendly. However the sales tactics was a little manipulative. For e.g. there was a package of 6 sessions of USD163. Limited slots. The consultant sent it in a evening. When I enquired the next day, he said the seats all taken up. 5 min later he texted me that he spoke to his manager and there's one seat available. Maybe that was true but again, it doesn't seem quite like it to me. So while I didn't expose him for good gesture reason, I think such tactic isn't quite acceptable. So overall is good except for this one incident.
Love the one on one teaching and…
Love the one on one teaching and individualized attention. Too many or too frequent rotation of 学管/coordinators that we are not familiar with. Prefer dealing with the ones we have at least some relationship with.
The teachers are qualified in teaching…
The teachers are qualified in teaching the children. Like the program that we choose for the kid.
Why I'm Done With LingoAce
I’ve worked for LingoAce three different times, and nothing has changed. They keep inviting teachers back like they’re some “great company,” but the reality is a mess. Their promises about incentives, advancement, and tiers are fake. None of it exists. Pay is slow, communication is awful, and if you need help, you’re ignored. Appeals are pointless. The responses are generic, copy‑and‑paste garbage that look computer‑generated. Nobody is actually reading them. The penalties are ridiculous — completely over the top and feel like a way for the company to take money from teachers. It’s unfair, unnecessary, and honestly shady. One tiny mistake and they start reviewing you nonstop until you quit. The turnover is constant because they don’t treat teachers like professionals. After three rounds, I’m done. I will never work for LingoAce again, and I strongly warn others not to. LingoAce Thank you for your response. However, you did not address the main issue: the 200% fine. I need a clear explanation of how a penalty that extreme is justified under your policies. My experience was negative due to unreasonable fines and inconsistent policies. I stand by my review. I will not provide additional personal information. My review stands as written. My experience was disappointing due to scheduling and communication issues. I’ve already received confirmation of changes, but they weren’t implemented. In my experience, some of the practices felt questionable — including fines that reached 200% for missed classes. This is why I consider the system to be unfair to teachers. My experience was disappointing due to scheduling and communication issues. I’ve already received confirmation of changes, but they weren’t implemented. In my experience, some of the practices felt questionable — including fines that reached 200% for missed classes. This is why I consider the system to be unfair to teachers and a bit SHADY. This concludes my clarification.”
