I had a really great experience refinancing with Real Genius, and I wanted to share it in case it helps others too. What stood out to me the most was how understanding and supportive the team was throughout the whole process. They really tried to understand my situation and what I needed. Before choosing a lender, I got quotes from a lot of different places—mortgage search platforms, popular rate websites, and even my own banks. I shared my credit score, job details, and information about my home, spoke with several representatives, and compared different loan options. What made Real Genius different wasn’t just their competitive rates and offers. It was also how carefully they listened, tried to understand my real priorities, and worked to find a solution that fit me. Some lenders just wanted to throw numbers at me over the phone, gave higher offers than what they initially showed, or asked to see competitor offers without trying to improve their own. One lender even talked about possible numbers on the phone but never sent me a written offer, even when I asked. For such an important decision, it was really important for me to see everything clearly in writing—interest rate, monthly payment, loan amount, fees, and closing costs. I didn’t want any surprises later. NBKC Bank was one of the companies that initially offered the second lowest rate. But after a short period of communication, I didn’t receive any follow-ups or updates, which made it hard for me to trust their offer or move forward with them. Süleyman was different. They helped me keep my loan amount as low as possible, removed the appraisal fee and some other costs, and improved my monthly payment without unnecessarily increasing my loan balance. One company honestly told me that the Real Genius offer was very strong and they couldn’t beat it. My banks and other lenders also couldn’t provide a better final offer. At that point, I felt confident that Real Genius was the best overall option for me. During the process, I had some uncertainty about my immigration status, which made the timing pretty stressful. The team was very understanding, patient, and supportive about this. They told me that if I decided not to continue at any stage, I wouldn’t face any penalties or out-of-pocket costs. That was honestly a game changer for me. It allowed me to move forward carefully without feeling pressured or rushed while waiting for my immigration update. Since I didn’t want to miss the good rate and opportunity, I signed the refinance documents while waiting for my immigration update. Luckily, I received my immigration approval on Monday morning. After that, I felt comfortable sending the closing costs and fully moving forward with the refinance. Mary, as the mortgage processor, handled the documents, follow-ups, and details very carefully. Lori made sure everything was clear and organized during the closing stage, which helped the process go smoothly. Süleyman coordinated everything, kept a close eye on the process, and made sure I was connected with the right people at the right time. Each of them was really helpful in their role. The entire refinance process was completed in just 29 days. I’m very grateful to Süleyman, Mary, Lori, and everyone involved. Their professionalism, patience, communication, and genuine effort to find solutions made what could have been a stressful process much easier for me. I was nervous about using an online mortgage broker, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use Real Genius again. The entire process was as seamless as it could be. The team was responsive, efficient, and extremely organized. The title company said they had never heard of Real Genius but went out of their way to share how fast and thorough the information flow was. I just can’t say enough about how easy they made the process and, most importantly, every number at closing was almost exactly what they said it would be in the initial quote.
