Reverb for me has been a very trustworthy site, with tons of stuff and some good pricing… The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I received a guitar that was broke in shipping and it took a while to get my money back. They did take care of me however, so I consider it a valued site for myself anyway…
Robbed of almost 300 dollars
I ordered a particular item for my son’s graduation gift. A beautiful guitar body that he chose himself so he could for the first time build a custom guitar. Package shipped right away but when it got here it was not the item we ordered. So I start an account to be able to communicate with the seller that we received the wrong item. First thing I see is a message from the seller that the item we ordered was not available but he was going to ship another item. I did not ok this substitution. Now I am struggling to get my money back (almost 300 dollars) have not heard from Reverb or the seller. I refuse to pay out of my own pocket to return this item I did not order. It’s been a week and I still have heard nothing! I will never buy from this site again and will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau if it’s not handled soon

Quickly found the best deal, money for product value here, yes, better than eBay or Amazon, and no where to be found on crags list or FB market. Yes it was a somewhat old item, made at the beginning of this century.

Dismal customer service
Dismal customer service, Reverb blocked my account for no apparent reason right after having spent several thousand of dollars on a guitar. As if that woudln't be enough - then there is nobody to help or talk to, no phone number, just a useless chatbot promising someone would send an email with instructions...that of course never arrived. NEVER AGAIN!!!

occasional bragain, extrortionate fees...
You can find some incredible stuff on Reverb, some of it is crap and scrap, some of it is ridiculously over-priced, but occasionally you find an absolute gem. A market place of chancers, with the occasional true bargain. If you can swallow the incredibly high and extortionate fees that reverb.com charge then sometimes you're gonna get very lucky. reverb.com itself as a platform is set up fairly well, but they do make it incredibly difficult to contact them if there's a problem. So, for the extortionate fees I would like a lot more personal attention and customer service. But, like every business on the planet now, the bottom line is seemingly more important than the service offered 🤷🏼

On my one of my recent purchases I was given a refund without my request. The seller said it would be a hassle to ship to me, so he gave me a refund (seller MAS). I contacted Reverb they said, the seller had listed it on several other platforms and it sold, and the Reverb site hadn’t updated to sold, therefore I missed out. To me this was outrageous..and two different stories were given by seller and Reverb. I went on to purchase another guitar. But the one I got refunded for was the one I really wanted. And I spent almost 300 dollars more than I wanted on the purchase of the other guitar. I asked them to compensate but they said no. This was pretty much like false advertising , Reverb and the Seller should be ashamed.
