Reviewers had a great experience with this company. People frequently mention that the website is wonderfully designed, making it effortless to browse and locate unique musical instruments and equipment from trusted sellers. Buyers frequently mention finding fantastic bargains, accurate item descriptions, and remarkably smooth transactions that make purchasing musical gear both enjoyable and completely reliable.
However, some customers also noted that platform service fees can feel quite steep and burdensome for regular sellers. A few other people also felt frustrated when occasional shipping complications arose or when resolving delivery damage proved particularly challenging with support.

I’ve been using the Reverb site quite a few years now and generally find the descriptions of musical equipment to be fair, accurate and easily verified.
This is certainly the case with pedals and the like but unfortunately cannot say the same for guitars which don’t always answer to the descriptions given and being larger, more fragile objects are more difficult to return. There doesn’t seem to be much quality control over these.

Thank you for the honest feedback, Premanand! Glad pedals and smaller gear have been accurate for you over the years. We hear you on guitar listings and quality control, and we've shared that with our team. Thanks for sticking with Reverb.
Horrible and shady company. Buyer protection no longer exists. I purchased an item over 1 month ago and have still not received it. I asked the seller for a refund 3 weeks ago, and they continue to stall saying it's on its way but there is no tracking. Reverb is protecting these dishonest sellers to make a buck. They have made minimal effort to resolve the situation and I have not received a refund.

This organization is terrible for customer service
This organization is terrible for sellers. Not only do they take a good portion of your payout for services but they are horrible relative to customer service. I sold a guitar that the customer did not want. Received it back and it was damaged. The 2 week ordeal was torturous to obtain any compensation. Recently, I sold a guitar. I have been waiting for almost two weeks to get paid while the buyer has my guitar. They have provided no explanation whatsoever for the delay. Never again.

Impossible to get to talk to a human . I bought a guitar. Could not tune it . Revrb told me to take it to a Luthier. He noted the neck was cracked. Asked for a refund dud to a damaged product. Seller told me I would have to pay 5% restock fee and shipping.I sent it back in packing and box that it came in with Reverb's shipping label. Reverb said I should have noticed neck cracks in photo ( impossible due to wood grain. ) and closed case. Seller messaged me that they were witholding funds due to damaged strap button. This seems impossible because on my end as I never even had the guitar tuned and had not used a guitar strap Reverb AI is problematic in chat. When you get a person it is escalated to a team that has 3-5 days to respond. There is no human available to actually talk to. This has been going on for 2 weeks. I do not feel as though I was dealt with fairly or professionally.

A very shady company.
As a new user, I found an instrument that I was interested in. When I attempted to send the Seller a message, I was informed I needed to create an account. Okay, that's reasonable.
Then, I had to confirm my email address. Again, not an unreasonable request. After doing so, I sent my message.
Ten minutes later, I received notice that my account was suspended, with no messaging capability, until I put a credit card and phone number on file. I also noticed that they had recaptioned my message as being from "Don's Gear Shop" when no such thing exists - it was just from me, an individual.
So , Red Flags waving, I checked some online reviews and sure enough, they have a host of very negative experiences reported.
The final insult was when I followed the online instructions to delete my account, and received a reply that they would not do so UNTIL I PROVIDE THEM WITH MY CREDIT CARD AND PHONE NUMBERS!!!
Buyer Beware ... this outfit is shady.

Every purchase has been smooth and priced very competitive. Shipping is usually pretty quick, but there have been some sellers that really didn't care how fast you receive your gear.

Thank you, Tim! Glad your purchases have been smooth and well-priced overall. We hear you on shipping speed varying by seller, and we appreciate you continuing to shop with Reverb.
Superb communication, great insurance in the event that a transaction goes less-than-smoothly. I've had many Reverb transactions over the past 10+ years and I've never (seldom) had a negative experience.

Thank you, Mark! We're grateful for your 10+ years with Reverb and glad the communication and protections have held up well. We appreciate your loyalty.
Reverb has gotten too expensive, Too corporate greedy. On a good day reverb customer service experience sucks , one Star. Selling on Reverb is a losing deal given their ever rising fee rates. Yet, I’m hooked and view daily.
I see it only getting worse, Looking forward to next best musicians market place.

Reverb not only has the largest selection of musical gear for sale in the world, they also provide excellent protection for their customers. Reverb protects both sellers and purchasers with integrity. It is by far the safest and easiest place to both purchase and sell musical gear. It beats every other option available very handily!
I have used Reverb to purchase a few guitar and I have not had any issues with the seller or the website. I keep going back to find good deals and delivery time is pretty quick.
A great platform for buying n selling gears BUT fees are way too high !!! => 10% every single time you sell something
