What reviewers say
AI generated
Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers heavily criticized the poor network connectivity, noting that weak signals and frequent disruptions made daily internet usage and online transactions extremely difficult. Additionally, customers faced major problems with billing, describing unexpected charges, unwanted automatic renewals, and a frustratingly unhelpful online support team.
Some reviewers were happy with the polite staff available at physical service centers and found the roaming connectivity quite useful when traveling abroad. However, others noted that resolving account problems online remained a tedious and stressful process, often leaving people without proper assistance or resolutions. Many individuals also experienced significant delays when attempting to terminate their long-term contracts.

I dont even want to put any star at all for the lousy service they orovided.
Customer service name Cherry and JR such rude human being. I really hate using SIMBA, never ever had such bad experiences with other provider before
Just a heads-up for anyone considering a new mobile plan.
My two experiences with Simba has been less than ideal (yes, I gave them another chance and the experience was even more dissappointing the second time.)
I wanted to port my number out after a short time because I found the 5G service to be quite inconsistent (or even non-existent, i.e. most of the time I would be connected only to 4G) in the areas where I normally move (CBD, and the North.) In addition, the vast majority of SMSs, including those I need for 2-factor authentication for a number of services, were never delivered. I was then informed there's a $30 fee for porting out within the first 30 days, which is mentioned in their terms.
While it's in the T&Cs, I found this policy and the subpar network performance to be very frustrating.
Finally, the only way to contact customer support is through a form in their website, and they respond to you.
It's a detail to be aware of if you're looking for flexibility.
The network coverage is horrible. Low connectivity in many areas. The service is fricking terrible.
I have 2 lines with them. Wanted to terminate one of them and port out the other.
Both requests were not successful.
Termination blocked because billing process just initiated by the system.
Port out blocked because billing cycle hadn’t ended completely though it was already past 30 days.
Really horrible experience. Avoid at all costs.
This is honestly the worst telco I’ve ever used because of their terrible customer service.
Due to their staff’s miscommunication, I ended up paying double for the same SIM card. When I asked for help, the staff had a poor attitude and refused to take responsibility. All they could say was, “There’s nothing much we can do, please email…”
I emailed as instructed, but the service there was just as bad — same dismissive responses, no proper solution given.
This has been a complete waste of time, money, and energy. I’m done with this telco — this is the last time I’m using them, poor 5G data connection too, don’t bother even trying them. I’ll be switching to another provider very soon.
Unfulfilled Promises and Poor Support: Frustrating Experience with Number Retention and Activation Delays
I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience after signing up for a broadband plan with Simba. At the time of registration, I clearly stated that I wanted to retain my existing landline number. I was assured by the customer service agent that once the broadband service was activated, I would receive a Welcome Email with instructions to initiate the number retention process. I was also explicitly told not to cancel my current telco service until this step was completed, in order to avoid losing my number.
It has now been nearly a week since the activation, and I have yet to receive any Welcome Email. Despite sending multiple follow-up emails, the responses I’ve received—primarily from a representative named Cherry—have been repetitive and unhelpful, merely restating the same process without offering any resolution or escalation.
Due to this delay and lack of proper support, I am now incurring unnecessary costs for a service I cannot fully utilize. This situation is unacceptable, and I believe Simba should take responsibility by compensating for the additional days of service lost due to their failure to follow through on what was promised.
Should have checked reviews before porting over to SIMBA. They advertised 5G but I've never seen 5G connection. 5G works perfectly fine with other telco cards. Tested network speed, it ranges from 1.5mbps - 7mbps speed. Constant disconnection when playing games and takes forever to buffer youtube videos. Unable to cancel the plan due to 1st month cancellation penalty of $30.
Today i went there to collect my parcel at IN Touch at Canberra Plaza. Been Queuing there and waited for some time for people infront of me. But they allow people behind me for those who purchase phone to go first instead of first come first serve. Horrible customer service and rude staff. There are planty of this type of shop around. Im sure you can find a better one.
Super lousy service from boon lay counter . Dame slow connection. Stay away. Super lousy. Should not port over. Always remember. Good thing no cheap . Cheap thing no good. Don't be a cheapo like me ..Worst teleco
disappointment regarding the conduct of staff members
0 star
poor standard of customer services at pasir ris Mall. The staff member in question displayed a noticeably rude and dismissive attitude throughout our conversation. Their tone was unprofessional, and their manner lacked the courtesy and respect that I believe every customer deserves. More focus on money and do not willing to help customer's issue.
This is ***NOT*** displayed when you make the purchase and you have to dig into the terms and conditions. Basically you are locked for 24 months if you buy a number from them. Learned the hard way.
All Lucky mobile numbers are sold at a discount of 50% (unless otherwise specifically stated for special promotions), and the price that you pay is after the discount is applied. The discount is provided on the condition that you continue with a valid mobile plan with SIMBA for a period of 24 months from the activation of the Lucky mobile number). The discounted amount will be chargeable to you if you request for porting-out or your mobile plan is terminated for any reason whatsoever, before the expiry of the period of 24 months from the activation of the Lucky mobile number.
Customer service is nonexistent.
I understand that this is a discount provider and I accept that the service is a bit slow at times but at least the rates are good. However when something goes wrong you spend forever tearing your hair out trying to get your service back again. Last week my service suddenly stopped for several days. I sent SIMBA support screenshots of the app showing zero data allowance on my account despite it having been automatically renewed the week before. They ignored this and once the service resumed again they pretended like nothing was wrong.
This is not a company that stands behind its service and their support team are absolutely useless.
If you have high blood pressure already, best to avoid SIMBA.
if there was no star, i would have given Simba zero star. it's so embarrassing having a phone without service and that's what i get from Simba for the last one year plus. i recall it was better at one point and maybe with more users (and they gave some 50% discount) it got worse. in one min, my zoom connection dropped off a few times - super embarrassing!
Converted into a SIMBA user since Dec 2025. It’s literally worst telco both locally and internationally. For the first 2 months of my contract I receive no signal within my entire house (I don’t live in a jungle or anything). Tried reaching out to their help desk that took days to reply me and required me to fill in basic information such as my phone number, name etc over and over again (eh hello the ticket was literally issued under my hp no. and name leh don’t joke sia). Basically tons of redundant questions were asked then to reply them I need to refill-in all my information lol. Eventually they told me my area is still under “improvement plan” and provided me the option of installing a “signal enhancer” in my house. Guess what? Their “improvement plans” would be completed in Jan 2025 and the earliest date for them to install that “signal enhancer” is Feb 2025 (basically telling you to suck thumb and wait lor).
After which, have to admit, there were so improvements within my living area. However, I work in the CBD compound, the signal there basically non-existent, let alone the signal in the underground tunnel. I’m typing this while I’m in the tunnel, on my phone’s notepad. I had to search for somewhere to post this review as soon as I gain access to internet.
TDLR: don’t ever go for the telco plan that sounds too good to be true (500gb $12)
If you work in the CBD and a SIMBA user, congratulation, working there, commuting there and back is a real test of patience.
I am considering GOMO, let me know if it’s equally bad or worse.
Simba line is the worst among other telco even when I port over from Giga for my 3 number and used for about a month to see their internet connection and network coverage no reception at all times. After a month with Simba, i decided to port out my all number over to other telco and goodbye to Simba since they overcharge me plus termination fee.
sucks to the core. in hospital literally no signals. in open space along HDB no signals. and service personnel wanted me to do their job of telling them the exact location and the date and time for frequency drop and when I told them they then asked for range of field of dropped rate! i pay for service but have to service them instead??
Applied for the plan on 05/07/25. Received it on 09/07/25. Till now I cannot register the sim. No way to communicate with them except via email & it takes them so long to reply back to me. The only solution they gave me if I can’t register was to go down to their service centre. Avoid this Telco at all cost. Wasting people time.
SIMBA is simply excellent . The last time we had to pay a lot for data roaming and had additional charges for calls back to
Singapore . But now it’s all in the package and so easy . You don’t have to continually configure and it’s super affordable. Thank you SIMBA
I’m giving this one star because there’s no option to give zero. They don’t deserve even that. They have pushed me to the limit. I've been treated with nothing but disrespect, incompetence, and complete disregard for customer service.
- First, I signed up and paid for 30 days of service. Then I was told I needed to come back once I had my student pass. Fine. I returned after 2 days, and after everything was set up, they suddenly told me I had to pay again because "it was like starting from zero." What kind of logic is that? So already paid 20$ instead of 10$/month.
- The coverage is just horrible. I get no signal in most places, and WhatsApp calls don't work at all when I'm using their internet. Not to talk about Instagram, or youtube.
- Then, when I wanted to leave after all this nonsense, they said I had to stay a minimum of 30 days. So I waited. Once the 30 days passed and I asked to transfer to another provider, they told me my account was now inactive and I’d need to pay another $10 just to reactivate it and be able to leave.
- Customer service? A complete joke. They take ages to respond, and when they do, they offer zero help.
This company is either completely incompetent or actively trying to scam people. Either way, do yourself a favor and stay far away.
