World CopperSmith (worldcoppersmith.com) has a 4.6 out of 5 rating on OK.one, based on 102 user reviews collected here. It is listed under Home & Garden and its reputation is excellent. Praise is nearly unanimous, with 91% rating it 4 stars or higher; The business has replied to 56% of negative reviews; 17 of them were added in the last 12 months. Last updated 2026-09-02.
We ordered a stainless steel hood, designed to fit between our existing cabinets. When our contractors tried to install it, they had trouble fitting it in the space between the cabinets. That was alarming, considering the measurements at the top of the hood and the bottom were both just under the space between the cabinets. After verifying our cabinet was plumb, we realized the hood itself was bowed out on one side, enough that the cabinet door rubbed against it, yet at the bottom there was a visible gap between the cabinet and hood.
We reached out to Coppersmith customer support - they gave us some things to try to get the metal back in the right shape, but also advised us that if any damage happened while trying the things they told us to do, then there’d be no chance they would remake or refund. We tried a few things, then when those didn’t work, tried a few more things they recommended. When nothing seemed to be working, we asked them to remake since the design did not meet the specs. After waiting for a week, they said no, and that they would keep trying to find some “other” resolution. It’s been over a week and we have yet to hear anything else from them.
We clearly received a product that did not match the specs, and they have been unhelpful in finding a resolution. Every time our contractors come back to try another one of their recommended fixes, it’s more money we’re spending. And now it’s been a full month since we initially tried to install the hood, we still have no hood in our kitchen, we’ve spent thousands of dollars on a product that doesn’t fit, and they’re not even responding back anymore.
Updated: 1 yr later Unreliable Delivery and Shipping
While the horrible delivery experience still stands, the fan and look and wear have been great. So I’m changing my review from 2 stars to 4 stars.
I’ll begin with the caveat that the designer originally wanted to use a different vendor, but they were unavailable, and Coppersmith “said” it could deliver in the timeline needed.
That said, the product is beautiful, but they have no control over their delivery or shipping.
I was told, in writing, it would be 11-12 weeks, so we didn’t pay for the expedited shipping ($1,200+ for 7-8 week delivery ). It look over 24 weeks, (6months!) and we had to purchase a temporary hood (and the labor to have it installed) to move back into our home, since hoods are required by code and we didn’t want to wait another 3 months for the Coopersmith hood to arrive.
(Thankfully, we didn’t pay the expedited shipping. It would’ve only come 4 weeks earlier than it did (based on the expedited vs standard timing) and I still would’ve had to purchase the temporary hood.)
Next, they delivered the enormous wooden crate to the end of my driveway, on a Friday, when we were not home, prohibiting us from driving onto our property. I called the company which had a very eager customer service person (Denise) but was no help. My contractor was not available at the time, so I had to find people to move it so my family could get our cars down our driveway. Another huge inconvenience.
After the Hood was finally installed, we turned on the fan to find that the wrong size motor had been ordered by the designer. Coppersmith said too bad. Since the bags to the screws had been opened, it was un-returnable. And if I wanted to fill out paperwork to get approved as a Trade vendor, they would give me a 10% discount on the appropriate fan.
At least it looks good.

We lost our house in the 2018 Carr Fire (Redding, CA - Federal Disaster). Once the rebuilding began we wanted to create beauty from the ashes of our loss. CopperSmith was instrumental in achieving that goal. Their online and on phone representatives were so helpful in assisting us to get the correct measurements and discerning what we were hoping for. The custom hood that they built for us is amazing. It arrived in a beautiful wooden crate, not cardboard, and there were no blemishes on it from shipping. We needed an island range hood for our kitchen, which is part of a Great Room, so we were very anxious about having something large and ugly right in the central eye-line of the room. We are thrilled that our CopperSmith range hood is actually the central artistic feature in that space, rivaling the beautiful new marble counters as eye candy. The highlight and biggest splurge of my four-room home remodel this spring was a beautiful commercial stove and my 48-CopperSmith range hood. It is such a statement piece in my kitchen. We ordered a large copper sink earlier this year. There were some delays, due to shortages (not the fault of Coppersmith). When the sink did arrive, it was not ours, but someone else's. We contacted CS immediately and they worked so quickly to find our sink, arrange pickup, and get the delivery right. Communication was top-notch the entire time.
The sink itself is an absolute beauty! Could not be happier with it!

I was so scared to order such an expensive item online without ever touching it. But this proved to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I felt there was a little bit of time between the ordering and the shipping that I was not getting enough communication, but I just reached out to them and they had no problem catching me up on what was going on and where in the process my hood was at that time. It arrived perfectly packed without a single dent or a scratch on the crate. When it shipped I was able to follow it all the way to the delivery destination. And when I was able to finally have it installed it was more beautiful in person that could ever be in a picture. It is exactly what I hoped it would be!

Same experience as others on here. Ordered and paid for hood in March. Still not delivered and ZERO communication unless you reach out to them and then they just give you a new delivery date weeks or months out. PLEASE consider carefully if you are thinking of ordering from them. I wish I never had. Now I am out $6000 and don’t have any reasonable belief that I will ever receive my hood. I wish someone had warned me.

I purchased a farmhouse sink with the bear motive and a hood with the deer in the forest motif. Both are just as pictured and much more impressive in person.
