Enercare Sales and Technicians really deliver

On August 10 th the team of Enercare technicians and installers descended on our Tillsonburg home to install a new heat pump and furnace . The team of Nate, Robert and Tim were stellar, knowledgeable, neat, courteous and very efficient. The job was completed in record time and we are so very Happy with Enercare sales people like Austin plus the technical team he arranged to do the install ! Five star service at a great price !

Extremely Poor Service and…

Extremely Poor Service and Communication I have now dealt with this company twice for the same type of service, and both experiences have been extremely frustrating and unacceptable. The first time, my appointment was cancelled because the technician assigned to the job apparently did not have the knowledge or experience to perform the work. I had to start the process all over again. Today was no better. I was given an 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. appointment. A technician called and said he was on his way, giving me the 30-minute notice I had requested. Just before hanging up, he asked how much the service would cost. I told him it was covered under warranty, as confirmed by your office. There was an awkward pause, followed by, “Okay, I’ll be there in 30 minutes.” More than an hour later, at 11:48 a.m., he still had not shown up. Instead, another technician called saying the service call had been assigned to him and that he could arrive in approximately an hour. When I explained that we were already waiting for another technician, he claimed the first technician was running late at another appointment. That explanation does not add up. The first technician had already called me and explicitly said he was on his way. So which is it? This is not a scheduling inconvenience — it is a complete failure of communication, coordination, and customer service. Customers should not be expected to sit around for hours, rearrange their schedules, receive conflicting information from multiple employees, and then still have no idea whether the service will actually be completed. Even worse, this is not the first time we have had issues with technicians who either do not show up or arrive without the knowledge or ability to properly diagnose and resolve the problem. If a company is going to provide warranty service, it should send qualified technicians, communicate honestly with customers, and actually honour the appointment times it provides. At this point, I am extremely disappointed with the way this company handles service calls. The lack of organization and accountability is unacceptable, and the amount of time they have already wasted is ridiculous.

Flood affected area response to service call

I'm in the flood affected area of St. Catharines and have a maintenace plan for furnace. Enercare have no contingency for having someone come to check my furnace because i used the maintenace service in december 2025 so they wont send someone to check the furnace until dec 2026 unless i pay for the visit. considering their fees, shouldn't there be a waiver in the case of an active contract in an natural emergency? I think so if you want to serve your customers. considering that I might use them to FIX the furnace. CS persons are great but this company only cares about the profit not the customers.

Just had Eddie from Enercare Oshawa…

Just had Eddie from Enercare Oshawa repair a couple of plumbing issues. All I can say is that Eddie is brilliant, thorough, conscientious and meticulous in getting the repairs done right the first time. He was quick to diagnose the problem, quick in fixing the issue and thoroughly checked that the problem was indeed fixed. I know some would may have used silicone to make the repairs but not Eddie. He took the time to fix the problems properly. As a bonus, he was extremely friendly and patient with answering my questions; imho a rare characteristic from a Gen Zer. A big thank you Eddie for a job well done !

Scammers

Scammers. They don’t let you cancel your plan until the broken tank is returned to them. Mind you I have paid this tank off 3x over as I’ve had it close to 11 years. The rental was in the house when we bought it sadly. Happy to be rid of them! They also wanted 700$ for the buyout on the tank!

1 Star

1 Star My experience with Enercare has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had. Over the course of several days, I spent hours on the phone and was transferred between numerous representatives before finally reaching the Executive Escalations Department. I was assured that my issue had been resolved and that I would receive written confirmation of the agreement. When I called back because I never received the promised email, I was told that no such agreement existed. Making promises and then failing to honor or document them is unacceptable. Customers should not have to fight through endless transfers only to receive conflicting information from different representatives. Communication was another major issue. I repeatedly had to ask representatives to slow down because I had difficulty understanding them. Clear communication is essential, especially when discussing billing disputes and contractual matters. Customers should not have to struggle just to understand what they are being told. Instead of resolving problems efficiently, the process felt confusing, inconsistent, and unnecessarily exhausting. I expected honesty, accountability, and professionalism, but unfortunately that was not my experience. Enercare needs to improve its customer service, keep accurate records of commitments made to customers, and ensure that promises are followed through. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

Ury came to our house several times to address the issues we had with a small gas leak and our hot water tank. He was thorough in his inspection and gave wonderful advice. He called to follow up on further appointments and he came to install a new tankless water heater and deal with the small gas leak. After 7 hours of work, he completed the installation. He was wonderful. Very thorough and knowledgeable. Very polite and helpful. I think he's great. Ask for him any time.

My Enercare water tank was leaking…

My Enercare water tank was leaking tonight and I called the service dept for urgency and they sent the senior technician to help me right away, his name is Jamaal, and he is a great person to help us to check and re-arrange for next day appointment to replace the problem water tank ! Thanks Jamaal and Enercare both for the great service again !!

I've been overcharged by Enercare in the amount of $2000. And when I contacted Enercare, they don't have a clue of what's going on. The only way to fight maybe serve court papers to Mr. Nick Perrenton. He can think about how he can fix the problem as he drives to Belleville for court.

⭐☆☆☆☆

⭐☆☆☆☆ – Absolute Nightmare Experience with Enercare Enercare has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I have been without reliable hot water for weeks, and despite calling multiple times, the problem has never been properly resolved. Technicians came to my home several times, and each visit ended the same way: the hot water would work for only a few hours, then stop again. Instead of identifying and fixing the root cause, they kept applying temporary fixes that clearly didn’t solve anything. The most frustrating part is the lack of urgency and customer care. My family, especially my kids who play sports every day, need hot water to shower, yet this didn’t seem to matter. Being left without hot water over and over again is completely unacceptable. After repeated service calls, I was still left with the same issue, wasting my time by staying home for appointments that accomplished nothing. I expected better service from a company that advertises reliability. If you’re considering Enercare, think twice. Based on my experience, they don’t seem to care about resolving customer problems, only about closing service calls. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

Unpleasant experience- water heater

I rented tankless water heater for the last 6 months. The heater stopped working because a spare part, my family is suffering for almost two weeks now, the company doesn’t show any positive response, customer service promised each time to resolve the issue and till date no one showed up. If they can’t arrange a spare part which something they should keep for emergencies, they don’t deserve anyone to continue business with them. I am facing a hard time with them, the experience dealing with them is unpleasant at all. I wish to rate them less than one start if it possible.

Brandy

The service rep. Brandy was really helpful. After she examined our 2 toilets (exactley the same) she proceded to explain what what going on with the one we called to have fixed. She made some minor adjustments and then showedus the correct use for the furture. She provided excelent service and provided a useful dialogue throughout the service call. Congrats to her.
