This app is very good; it has helped me a lot to manage my finances.
Very easy to use, love expensify
The app is easy to use, very straightforward.
Such a buggy app. Canceling is also buggy and I'm unable to cancel. I'm going to have to reach out to support. Waste of time.
Hi Nicholas, I'm requesting your contact info now so we can look into this and help get your account sorted. Thanks for taking the time to share this.
You cannot talk to anyone over the phone, ever. Their site went down, and I got logged out. I went to login, and the system said it need my 2FA. I never setup 2FA, so I can't get in. They said the admin needed to reset it. I am the admin. They said I needed to add an admin. I asked them to do so. They said I had to be logged in to add an admin. They then provided instructions that require IT support to complete. We are a small nonprofit with no IT Department. I said that I wanted to go ahead and cancel our subscription since it was worthless without admin access. They said I had to be logged in to do that. So, we are now working with a third-party IT provider that we don't normally engage to try to fix this. If they can't do it, then, I'm going to have to work with my bank to restrict Expensify's access to pull funds, so that the account gets cancelled. This is just the last instance in a long line of them where their customer support has been useless. I'm beyond done.
Hi Amanda, what you're describing isn't how 2FA should work on your account, so we'd like to dig into this directly. We've requested your contact info so our team can get you back in and sorted. Thanks for letting us know about this.
The new update has broken core functionality, and made exisiting functionality worse. The same tasks take more clicks, more typing. Way more goofy animations of windows opening and closing needlessly. Best of all it just sits and spins half the time. Why they would push such a broken update without letting you test out issues before just opting all users in is a complete mystery. We are looking for options to move away from ASAP.
Joshua - I'm requesting your contact info now so we can escalate this. Thanks so much for flagging.
Their solution is so buggy, and their own support documentation is useless 80% of the time. When you try to get customer service, you're dealing with a hybrid AI and support person that will ask you to do things that are not possible in their interface. You end up spending hours to set up a simple workflow that routes an expense report to one person. Good luck if you're so unfortunate to work with this product when you're asking to get a human help or support call for spending thousands of dollars. You get left hanging to dry.

Worst expense system I have used in my 25 career as an executive. Just horrible, Poor UI, difficult to enter, the scan is worthless, looking up information difficult, just can't find anything good to say about it.
I'd love to hear (and help) more. Requesting your info now.
My company just switched to Expensify. I'm trying to submit my first report. I try to do something. Anything... And I get this green line that runs back and forth for a few minutes, then this: Oops... an error has occurred! If the problem persists, please reach out to concierge@expensify... with contextual details, including the steps you took to recreate this error and a screenshot if possible. First impressions are important. This is frustrating.
Hi Beverly, I'm sorry your first experience with Expensify hasn't been the smooth start you deserved. I'd love to help turn that around. I'm going to request your contact info so that we can have the team review your account and reach out. We appreciate your patience!
The new version is laggy, not intuitive, and relies too much on AI that doesn't work as expected
Justin - I'm going to request your info now. Would love to chat more with you about the specifics. Thanks so much!
Was fairly intuitive until they completely revamped it and made it essentially unusable. Review is revised because the Company did eventually provide support
Norman - would you mind sharing more specific feedback if we request your contact info? Doing it now. Thanks again.
I paid for the basic service, then found an extra charge was added to my bill with no explanation, then sorted it out only to find another erroneous charge was added the next month with no method of refund. Its a messy program that you can put up with as it seems cheap but then they add extra costs so I dont think its worth it.
Steve - we'll request your contact info and work on getting this resolved for you. Thanks so much.
Awful, clunky and slow software. Makes a simple task so difficult. The new update is even worse.
Hey there, I'm sorry for the issues you experienced here! I'll be requesting your contact info so we can follow up directly.
Used to be okay, new UI is utterly awful and I don't understand how it could possibly have passed any kind of sensible acceptance test. Simple operations like deleting an expense now take 10 times as long and then randomly transfer you to a completely different part of the website. Operations like adding a description to an expense that previously took 1 click now take 8. Somewhat unbelievably, they seem to believe the way to solve these problems is to offering more training. No amount of training will make up for a fundamentally badly designed user experience.
Thanks for the feedback, and I'm sorry that you've had a poor experience with the new UI. I'll be requesting your contact info so we can loop in someone to follow up directly.
Would rate zero, won't let me actually do anything. Sends a verification code to my phone and tells me that the code is wrong. Help ai suggested waiting an hour and try again. Still the new code is invalid.
I'm sorry for the issue, I'll be requesting your information to look into if I can help at all.
The program does a great job of scanning. Not so good at categorizing. Everything is a meal. I was experimenting with reports, and found out (after a couple of hours on and off chatting with the ai chatbot) that reports cannot be un-done. Something as simple as redacting a report is not a capability of this program. I also tried several work-arounds to move my expenses out of the reports, including recapturing the expense, printing my receipts, rescanning. but even if you rescan, the report stays. Nothing seems to work. I tried to get assistance, and asked if someone could redact the reports but it seems "Done" means, go f%&$ yourself here. My last request is to retrieve all of my scanned receipts to move on to another program, and this even seems like a long to-do. I wish someone would have told me not to experiment with reports, this program would have done everything I needed it to. Me: send all receipts to email. Expensify Concierge: can not do anything on behalf of a customer; if you need anything, you need to extract it yourself, one by one.
Hey there, thanks for using us: 1. There is a setting if you want to turn of reports so receipts/expenses are just submitted in real time. You could just turn on real time submission in your workspace. 2. For categorizing, you should be able to set up rules to map to specific categories based on merchants. Also, over time, our system should get smarter to remember which categories you are using with which merchants and update going forward. Sorry for any issues you did have!
It's easy to use. I use it for the company credit card. It automatically emails an expense report to accounting on the first of the month. All I do is take a picture of the receipt and write a brief description of the expense. It does the rest.
The best thing this does is the option to clone and edit/submit in a matter of few seconds. This works well considering i need to resubmit the claim every few days for my mileage
I really enjoy using Expensify because it’s simple, fast, and does exactly what it promises. It has made my routine much more productive by automating the boring stuff. Highly recommended!
