What people say

Timely delivery and interesting content.

Unlike in previous years, in 2025 I received all issues of the NatGeo magazine at the planned time. The topics were very interesting, as well as the photographs. I also frequently used the archive option, and it works without any problems. I will definitely subscribe to this magazine in the future as well.

I’m very happy!

I’m very happy! I purchased the Little Kids edition for my grandson at 3.5 years old.. he loves it and brought every issue to daycare/ kindergarten to show the other kids. Now he is 5.5 and I wanted to switch to Kids edition mid-year. It took one quick email and within 2 days I received a response that it had been switched! I expected it would take longer or at least a couple of phone calls. I am so happy and know my grandson will continue to love this magazine. Thank you! Shelleu

Unhelpful customer care and bad website glitches

I asked for help regarding payment (direct debit had failed), asked for an alternative payment option, could not change this via the website and the person who was supposed to help told me to do the things that I had already tried. Very unhelpful

The automatic renewal process that needed help failed

The automatic renewal process failed, due to my failing to update my credit card details. I tried to remedy this through the websites, but as an older person, got lost and bogged down on how to do it. But on the point of giving up, I tried the phone contact, and after some button pushing finally got through to an actual human, who understood my problem, and while still on the line, was able to update my details, and renew my subscription. Two lessons here, keep your details up to date, and for National Geographic, in spite of technology, please make sure there is always a helpful phone contact. I and my family have been subscribers for about 80 years, and no plan of changing that. Thanks to the helpful person who got that sorted for me. David Laughlin, Christchurch, New Zealand

Impossible to cancel subscription

It is impossible to cancel a subscription to NG online. The website gives no such information and sends me around to ngmintl in the uk, which claims they are not the ones to contact and send me back to NG customer service again, which tells the same story, so we go round and round getting nowhere. This has all the hallmarks of a fraudulent company. Then after two days ngmintl suddently doesd cancel my subscription ok. Why be so user-unfriendly and mess people around like this?

Notifications

I had an issue with delivery after moving to a new country. Delivery worked initially, but then I stopped receiving issues. The problem was that my account had been deactivated, and I was not notified that it was deactivated. Once I contacted Janien at customer service it was reactivated efficiently. I now have access again to the online articles and archives. I'm hoping there are no longer issues with the postal system and I get my issues in the post. I really wish NG would create a digital magazine that allows me to receive issues digitally. I do love the print issues, but the postage and the piles of magazines I have lying around don't seem like a very sustainable solution in today's environment.

Disappointed by costumer service

I have made a subscription for the magasine and the online content. My subscription (based on the official website) includes a single special edition copy, which unfortunately has to be ordered via phone, because I don´t live in the US or Canada but in Europe. I called the number, they gave me an email to request the copy. I sent an email and they replied that I have to call the same number I have called before. During the last communication via email, they informed me that the single copy is not included and i have to pay if I want to order it, even though it says otherwise on my subscription. Last but not least, I haven´t yet received my december copy and I have no information whatsoever, as I don´t get clear responses from the costumer service via email for over a month. I am extremely disappointed, considering the fact that I was looking forward to receiving my first copies and becoming an active part of the national geographic community. It´s such a pity for a company so big to treat costumers like this!

Dear Eleni, Unfortunately, the limited time offer for the free Nat Geo Special issue is only applicable in U.S. & Canada at this time. We are sorry to hear you have not received the December issue of Nat Geo Magazine yet as it should be delivered in homes in your area by now. Please contact us at [email protected] if you still have not received your December issue and we are happy to assist you. Sincerely, National Geographic Customer Service

I subscribed to National Geographic for…

I subscribed to National Geographic for another 2 years on Nov 19, 2025. Since I was not exactly sure when it would expire I asked NG. They confirmed today that it would expire April 2028, which is what I thought. I am glad it was confirmed and that I got my answer within a short time. Rolf Scheidegger, Switzerland
