Founded in 1996, Placid Express was formed on the simple premise that sending money home should be easy, affordable and safe. Like our customers, we send money to friends and family too and the experience should be as seamless as possible. Ridiculous fees and absurdly low exchange rates should not be a part of that experience. Since inception, we have transferred billions of dollars for our customers in the United States and Europe. With a mass movement to 'electronic everything', we make it easier for our customers to send money today by making our services available online.

Several times the features or the software automation is available only on Mobile but not on web. Many times the solution to add a receiver is to use Mobile and it fails on computer/laptop. Now a days the excahnge rate for India is less on comparision to competitors. Other competitors are not only giving better exchange rate, they are also faster than Placid.
