What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently reported serious issues with unhelpful customer support teams, rude staff members, and extreme difficulties when trying to reach a real person for assistance. Shoppers also mentioned frequently receiving damaged or defective items, missing components in home orders, and serious problems with delayed or incorrect shipments. The minority of people were satisfied with the helpful staff, finding store employees polite and always ready to assist customers during busy shopping trips. Some reviewers were happy with surprisingly smooth online pickup orders and fair, highly competitive prices on various everyday products.

The EVIL self checkout machine

The EVIL self checkout machine was not working and the other ones were having many issues as well, but luckily two very nice employees came and helped me out with it (the machine stayed not working they just redirected me to the human cashier) but they were very nice and helpful UNLIKE THE EVIL SELF CHECKOUT MACHINE.

THEY ARE THE WORST

This has been one of the worst service experiences I have ever had with Target. I pay for their delivery membership, yet my orders have been canceled more than three times with no real explanation. You are paying for a service that simply does not work. I spent hours trying to get help, only to be disconnected multiple times. The representative (Rachelle) repeatedly ended calls and chats without resolving anything. There is no ownership, no accountability, and no respect for the customer. The entire system feels broken — from ordering to delivery to customer support. You are left on your own after they take your money. If you depend on delivery, do not trust this service. It is unreliable, disorganized, and a complete waste of time. I stayed home waiting for orders that never came. This is not just poor service — it is a failure to deliver on what is being sold. Save your money and your time. There are far better companies that actually honor what they promise.

I normally do not shop at Target and…

I normally do not shop at Target and Today was A perfect example of why I ordered A phone holder and a Swiffer mop The total was 47.00 and some change. I order it because i needed it delivered and I could not get there while they were open. I get a notice on my Phone that they took out 58.00 and some change Which I did not Authorize nor was I informed they do this . So I contacted them and they stated the difference would be put back in 10 business days . and it isn't about the money it is about the unauthorized amount they took and if they do this to every customer that orders how much money are they taking without people knowing. I can pretty much guarantee. that I will not use them again. People need to be aware of what they are doing.

Worst service ever

Worst service ever. They literally had ibuprofen in generic brand locked up. You had to press a call button to get access to a 4 dollar bottle of generic ibuprophen. We had to stand and wait forever and the pharmacy employees had no access to the ibuprophen which is ridiculous. We noticed that the shelves were full, but the store was empty. Now we know why….

Placed an order for over the amount to…

Placed an order for over the amount to ship and they send 1 product and tell me to pick up the rest at store, 4 different phone calls to customer service, was hung up on twice on the phone for a total of 45 minutes with no resolution, this store is the absolute worst.

Stop making me shop at Walmart!

I'm really trying not to shop at Walmart but you're making it impossible. Stock your store!! Everytime I go shopping at one of your stores, half or more of what I want you don't have in stock, so I have to go to Walmart! I'm at the point of just going to Walmart instead of stopping by your store! Help us help you!

Target refuses to delete personal data…

Target refuses to delete personal data if the customer is not in a state in which they are legally prohibited from refusing such request. This practice disrespects customers and takes advantage of technology and client trust to use customer information for the company's own profit. I have also recently learned that Target uses its cameras in-store to analyze and track customer behavior. This can be found in their policies.

After years of on-time payments

After years of on-time payments, Target affected my credit score for a 30-day late payment for $18. I have sent registered letters requesting a goodwill deletion from my credit reports. Speaking to a Target representative in the USA in Arizona, she told me that Target does not do goodwill deletions from credit reports for anyone. What a wonderful company. If this is true, why would I ever want to do business with Target again?

Targe took no responsibility for selling a damaged pressed wood table advertised as acacia from unreliable vendor

I received a damaged Garvee table that was not made from acacia, as advertised, but was laminated pressed board and had a badly damaged table top. Garvee repeatedly misled me regarding getting me a replacement part. But before I realized I was being misled, based on the company's assurances, a friend spent multiple hours putting together parts so the table would be ready for a function that would happen 2 days after the replacement table top was to arrive on Friday. No part arrived. On Monday I was told the part would take 2 to 4 months! And there would be no opportunity to speak to a person with the authority to correct the problem. Target's only response was for me to find boxes and bring the almost 90 pounds of parts back to the store for a refund. A very challenging task for someone with my physical limitations. No apology or even acknowledgement for advertising a pressed board table as wood. No apology for selling products from a company that didn't stand behind their product. Targets response was to figure out a way to get it back to a store or forget about a refund. Then when I tried to write a product review on Target's site, to warn people about the product and the vendor, I got an error message that said I was not able to.

Ordering on line is waste of time

Ordered 5 totes online 3 hours before going to the store and after I got the email that it was ready. Not only did I have to wait 15 minutes in line for SLOW customer service as there was only 3 people in front of me but checking out not customer service. When I got up there, they didn't even have it pulled and ready. Dont waste your time ordering online.

Target card services charge late fees…

Target card services charge late fees after they've been paid on time and proof of payment has been sent 3 times. Cant wait to finally zero my account and flush the card down the toilet- never stepping in a Target again. I'm 66 and have never had a problem like this. Phone support tells me they will take care of it and then i get a letter saying I owe even more. Its like a circle of hell with this company.

Target needs to be more honest about their 3rd party vendors

Good experience this year so far, but Target needs to be more honest about their 3rd party vendors. When I order at Target and receive a package from Sila Senior Care, which is in NC, but postmarked Danville VA; this has hallmarks of a brushing scam. I called Sila and they said I was the 2nd person to call about this. There is no way to tell on the website where your product is coming from.

Promised Items Never Come Ontime Always Delayed

Purchase two items on target.com, the first item, Keurig filters, arrived on time. The second item I bought was glazed walnuts from Delish, which were maybe 30 minutes from my home in North Hollywood, and the item should have gotten to me in 1 business day, but I never got the walnuts. Call the vendor, and they told me they have not made the item yet, and it would be another week. I told them to cancel the sale because the promise was for March 19, 2026. I have now come to realize that all these online stores are using false advertising with free shipping to lure you in to buy, and promising same-day delivery or next-day delivery, and then notifying you that it will not be there as promised. Other popular sites are doing the same thing, and sometimes do not even get the product, and I have to call around to find out what happened. Target is not alone; the other big box stores do this as well. And the sad thing about this is that you always speak with someone in another country, other than the United States, who is not even aware of our cities, to help you efficiently determine what the holdup is and why. Total disappointment. I guess I will need to go inside these stores with lock cages and just wait for someone to assist me with the products instead of ordering online and going through the hassles of canceling the things I ordered and getting a refund.
