Be aware of Non-Segregated Storage Facilities!

I purchased specific, premium coins from Coins Plus in Spokane for my wife’s retirement fund, with the explicit understanding that they would be held in segregated storage and preserved for my family. After your company was acquired or partnered with GBI, many of those coins were liquidated without my authorization and replaced with bulk bullion. I did not consent to this substitution, nor was I informed in advance in many cases, especially with the 100-ounce silver bars. The sale of higher-value coins and their replacement with generic 100-ounce silver bars materially altered my retirement holdings and eliminated the unique value I intentionally selected. As a disabled senior who relied on your firm to act as a fiduciary custodian, I consider this conduct deceptive, harmful, and a serious breach of trust—particularly toward elderly clients depending on these assets for end-of-life financial security. This information will be passed on to every local coin shop that I know and also to Dale Whitaker, who has clients that have experienced this same bait-and-switch routine. You should be ashamed, and in my opinion, you rate along with Gold Line International, Lear Financial, etc.

Thank you for your feedback, Larry. We take all client concerns seriously, especially regarding retirement accounts. To clarify the situation: When your old IRA Millennium IRA exited the precious metals business, their clients faced limited options—transfer to a new custodian or accept a forced distribution with significant tax implications. We offered a transfer solution to our partnered IRA custodian, but that custodian's policy only permits investment-grade bullion, not numismatic or collectible coins. This limitation was explained before any conversions occurred, and clients were given the choice to either proceed with conversion to bullion-grade products or seek an alternative custodian that accepts numismatic holdings. Per company policy shown in our terms of service, no transactions can be executed without explicit client authorization. All conversions in this case were completed with documented consent. We understand this wasn't your ideal outcome, and we're sorry the circumstances with your previous custodian created this difficult situation. If you'd like to review specific transaction authorizations, please contact me directly at [email protected] so we can address your concerns in detail. Samantha

Thank you for being so patient while the vault processes your shipping requests according to your details.

The service is overall good

The service is overall good, but I the last deposit I made I was told that I would have to wait a couple of weeks before the funds would be applied to the gold purchase I made. It would be great if the money were to be applied immediately.

Hello Andrew, sorry for any miscommunication you may have received, as deposits made via ACH only take 4 days, not weeks. Wire options are available for immediate purchases. Please contact our service team with your inquiry so we can clear up any misunderstandings and review your case.

Account Restoration

This interaction was a follow up from an earlier transaction. Since my account had been manually modified to accommodate my request, this current interaction was to ensure the account was returned to normal operations.

Reputation as being a safe place to keep Gold Holdings. Has been responsive for mailings. Would like buy-back options for home kept holdings with competitive values.

Overall, I am pleased with the experience I had so far, including the MetalStream purchasing allowing regular, semi-fixed purchases of metal bars/coins in fractions each period. I think the experience would be better if we are beings shown in a friendly-easy way the margins from the spot for both the buying and selling actions in a decision-assist window.

Thanks for your comment. The price of silver remains strong. What has changed is the cost and complexity of converting physical silver back into cash under current market conditions at this time of the review. Physical silver must be shipped, verified, and refined before it can be resold. Right now, refining capacity, logistics, and financing costs are tighter and more expensive, which impacts how bids are priced — even while demand for physical silver remains high. With silver prices significantly higher than in prior years and interest rates elevated, the cost to carry, finance, and process physical metal has increased. These real-world factors are what’s being reflected in today’s wider spreads, not a lack of buyer interest. In simple terms: Silver didn’t get weaker — it became more expensive to move and finance. Wider spreads reflect logistics, timing, and credit conditions. A wide spread indicates market stress, not reduced demand. Active bids remain available, which is a healthy sign for physical markets Physical metals move at the pace of trucks, vaults, and refiners — not computer trades. As conditions normalize, spreads typically adjust as well.
