Today I completed a 2 hour schedule

Today I completed a 2 hour schedule. The client was absolutely delightful, and we enjoyed uplifting conversation throughout our visit. It actually was an exceptionally visit with the client.

It's a Joy to work for Papa Pals

Working for Papa Pals has been a joy so far! I am able to pick up flexible, meaningful, joyful work, and extra shifts as it is much needed in this rough economy. I am looking forward to working more Shifts with Papa Pals soon.

I tried applying for the platform

I tried applying for the platform. They "need" every last bit of information and data from you right up front. Once you give them all of your passwords, SSN, DOB, Mother's maiden name, etc. they send you an email stating they don't have any positions around here. My reading leads me to believe there IS a functional company doing home health care. It just felt like they might make more money selling my data than home care.

The company is an awesome platform for people that are truly in need of help. I feel like some clients are abusing the needed assistance. The pay should be more. The inbound staff is always very pleasant.

Horrible uncaring reps on the phone

Horrible uncaring reps on the phone. They always arrive late and make me late for my doc appt and want me to meet them in an alley in back of my street when I live in a house on a Main Street. I call in the job a week in advance and no one picks it up. If your treatment or doc runs late they leave you stranded

I want to be as transparent as I can on…

I want to be as transparent as I can on this review, as someone who has recently worked for Papa Pals. On the VS and Customer Service side, VS was such a great experience overall making sure our clients got the proper support. Now on CS I was on the frontline and I was getting all of the inbound calls. Everything seemed amazing at first, until I started getting calls that Papa was basically saying one thing and another. It was a lot of back and forth daily which would cause a lot of stress. The supervisors take so long to respond in Slack which makes the clients stress out even harder. A lot of not paying attention to the notes, I’m getting berated by the clients. My main supervisor she just was not as helpful as everyone would say. She was barely ever there and her communication was so poor. This is not to bash your company at all, as someone who went above and beyond constantly I want to bring my experience. Also members have caught past stealing from them. Making up lies and excuses to stay cooking the clock, pals also not clocking in or out when supposed to. The app is pretty faulty it’s self, pals taking visits and then complaining they don’t have a lot of gas. Then why did you accept it? The mention of lawsuits were always made at me. Apparently Papa Pals has a class action lawsuit I had no idea about either. Everyday it was complete chaos and the clients actually liked working with me. There was just a lot of unorganized chaos to be frank.

Papa Pal is a waste of time

This company, offered as a service associated with Eternal Health, is extremely poor. My friend's first two appointments with a Papa Pal were disastrous. The first was over 30 minutes late and failed to assist her with carrying her shopping bags despite her severe back problems. The second notified us on the last minute she could not come. Papa Pal has caused us only stress and pain. They are a consistent reflection on Eternal Health, which is similarly stricken with flaws in service.

I would give a minus 10 if I possibly…

I would give a minus 10 if I possibly could for the review. I signed up for eternal health last year and renewed for 2026. I was given 60 hours of Papa pal Assistance in 2025 and when I called in Dec to make all the appointments at least 30% of those appointments were canceled with absolutely no recourse. They failed in providing the hours as promised. I asked if they could roll them over into 2026 and they said it would take 30 days to review and they never got back to me. Really? - it takes 30 days to review a question but can send a rocket to the moon quicker than that which is much more complicated than the question I posed. This year I started using Papa pals earlier right away in 2026 and suddenly after 34 hours of pal Assistance they shut me down. They said that they would honor one more visit, which was scheduled for three hours, but that my hours had run out after 30 hours this year. The day before the next visit they canceled and they said that I have exceeded my hours of requested assistance in disregarded the promise that was made to me to honor the appointment that was already made. That was in March 2026. Today on June 16, I received a phone call from Papa telling me that they were reaching out to address my report of dissatisfaction. It was as if I was talking to a parakeet. The person could not answer why it took 90 days to address my concern and when I asked for their supervisor - my request was declined. The staff member who called me from Papa said it’s not their problem that I was provided 50% of Papa Assistance based on what was promised to me in 2025 but not delivered. This step person refused to address my concern that one more visit was promised and then suddenly cancel during the conversation when I was notified that my allotment was 30 hours for 2026 versus the 60 hours in 2025. I told them that they engaged in deceptive practices, non-transparency, fraud, misrepresentation, and failure to let me speak to a higher up to escalate the phone call that took 90 days to arrive. The person that called me was probably given a script and just kept repeating the script every time I opened my mouth until I just had to hang up the phone. Basically, they lied to me at the time that they disclosed for the first time that my limit was 30 hours after using 34 hours and assuring me that the appointment that was already made would be honored, which was not true because the day before that last appointment I received a phone call telling me that it would not be honored. Additionally, they have a policy that when a Pal gets assigned to a task they are not allowed to provide their phone number. The last Pal that was at my house was asked to use my label maker and I’ve never seen it again. I explained that on the phone call today. I asked for a conference call with the last pal who was at my house. The Pal staff started asking me who the person was from 90 days ago! I told them they have it in their records and to deal with it and tell me where my label maker is located. The parakeet on the phone just kept saying that they’re not responsible for limiting my hours to 30 hours and did not address the fact that more than 20 hours were missing from 2025 that they were not able to honor because of cancellations that came in. Their attempted conflict resolution is a failure….

My experience with this company was okay at first

My experience with this company was deeply disappointing. After working consistently for four months without any issues, my account was suddenly placed under review. During that time, I was unable to log in or speak with anyone for clarification, despite continuing to receive calls asking me to assist clients. Eventually, I was contacted and asked to verify my car insurance. After promptly providing the requested documentation, I was questioned about having two vehicles on my policy, and shortly after, my account was deactivated without clear explanation. Throughout my time with the company, I was paid $17 an hour, traveled significant distances to care for three elderly women I had grown close to, and was never reimbursed for fuel or offered any bonuses. The lack of communication, support, and transparency made the situation even more difficult. What saddened me most was having to step away from the individuals I cared for, as I had built meaningful connections with them. Unfortunately, due to the overall experience, I cannot recommend this company.
