As a teacher it is terrible. They promised 80% fill rate during peak times but I get 10-20% at best. So like other teachers have said it’s bait and switch and hire in bulk knowing most teachers will not get many classes
Secondly they literally do not respond to any emails to their support team. Totally unprofessional. It’s obvious avoidance and no phone number to seek help.
Sure I think their lessons are good and interactive but for teachers we are treated with no respect and the fines are ridiculous. Illegal in western countries. It’s free cash for them. If a student no shows we do not get paid. Brutal policy but I bet they keep the money. If student cancels 1-2 hours before no pay which is also brutal. And only 6 cancelled classes in 6 months is also terrible policy. Overall just a lack of respect for teachers but their lessons are good
This company offers unreasonably low compensation for private sessions. They only pay $7 for the first 30 sessions, and even after progressing through seven different tiers, the maximum rate only increases to $10. Additionally, their penalty structure is highly excessive and unfair:
-200% penalty for a teacher no-show
-150% penalty for a cancellation within 2 hours
-100% penalty for a cancellation within 24 hours
While no-shows are understandably unacceptable, life happens — a family emergency or unexpected situation may cause a teacher to miss a class once or twice a year. This penalty system essentially allows the company to deduct money from your compensation, which is illegal under U.S. labor laws.
After reading their compensation policies, I decided not to join their team. I strongly suggest that others avoid working with them as well.

Dear Heydy,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns with us. We truly appreciate your time to provide feedback, which helps us to continuously improve.
Regarding the compensation for private sessions, we'd like to clarify that our pay structure is designed based on industry standards and takes into account various factors such as the experience and performance of our teachers. As teachers progress through different tiers, their compensation will increase accordingly, reflecting their growing expertise and contributions to our platform.
As for the penalty structure, we understand that unexpected situations can arise in life, and we do consider such circumstances when applying these policies. We understand that emergencies occur, which is why we've implemented an appeal process for exceptional circumstances. The penalties are primarily intended to ensure a fair and reliable experience for our students, minimizing any potential losses or inconveniences they might face due to last-minute cancellations or no-shows.
We respect your decision and understand that everyone has their own considerations when choosing a workplace. We're sorry that our current policies didn't meet your expectations, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Thank you again for your understanding and for taking the time to share your feedback with us.
Warm regards,
LingoAce
Seems like there are some issues with communication between teachers and consultants. We had discussions with the trail lesson teacher and the consultant. But when it was time for the formal lesson, the new teacher seemed had no idea about what we discussed before. Hope it will improve next lesson.

Dear parent, thank you for your feedback. We have process for consultants to sync-up all the information with the teacher who takes over the student. We will emphasize that again with consultants. Thank you!
I had an extremely disappointing experience with LingoAce. They hire teachers in bulk, make you go through multiple training sessions, and then give you zero classes. It’s a complete bait-and-switch. After completing all the required steps, I waited for class assignments that never came.
What’s worse is their complete lack of communication. If you try to reach out to management or support, you’re met with silence. No responses, no guidance—just pure neglect. It’s clear they mass-hire with no real intention of giving everyone work.
This company is completely unprofessional and does not respect teachers' time or effort. If you’re considering applying, don’t waste your energy. There are plenty of better platforms out there that actually support their educators and provide work. Stay away!

The platform is original, the class content is great, interactive, fun and relevant to the students' life.
We have had the teacher Chen Yan for more than 1 year, she has clarity in her teaching, firm but kind and interactive.
Teachers are friendly and nice. Kid enjoys to have zoom class. Class material need to be checked carefully especially the stroke order, I found it wrong.
The platform is engaging and we are quite impressed with the technology used. However, as teacher is remote, student still needs to be prompted especially when they're very young so parent still have to be involved.
The Chinese lessons are great! My child is currently enrolled in a pre-school program. The learning materials and homework are interactive - matching, recognising, colouring, speaking, etc. LingoAce teachers practise positive affirmations for kids. I like that the platform has more cartoon videos for extra learning for kids, which you can assess at anytime. Overall, amazing Chinese lessons and platform. Highly recommended.
However, the downside of LingoAce is its lesson packages. LingoAce sells small, medium and big lesson packages. If you want a small/cheaper package, which consists of gifted lessons, LingoAce needs your commitment to advertise them in social media in order to gain points in exchange for the gifted lessons. The advertising frequency can be weekly. Hence, if you know that you cannot commit, make sure you seek clarification from LingoAce and purchase a package that does not need your commitment to advertise LingoAce. A big/expensive package usually does not need an advertising commitment.
The LingoAce customer service communication relies highly on WeChat. The communication is great. I have no exposure to customer service communication via other ways, hence no comment.
The teacher is engaging and patient. As this is an online based learning, the experience would have been better if the student are engaged with physical resources such as selected story books or learning material. This makes online learning more interesting and enjoyable.
I know that many people choose this service specifically for learning languages, but my son is passing piano classes out here and everything is pretty muhc fine.
If only subscription would be lower, because paying like 20 dollars per one class is not very cheap.
I understand that buying an annual package would be more beneficial, but not all families have such sums on hands.
Well, the quality means high price, I realise that,s so, others, bear in mind this as well.
the app has abit of lagging issue at times like when they ask my Daughter to click on something, sometimes unable to click...and there was a time we couldn't hear any sound the teacher has made at all...but thankfully they return one more lesson to us.
I signed up for a quarter of classes because the sales person promised a refund if the class was not suitable for my child.
After the trial lesson, we told her that it was not suitable as my child was too young and after that she stopped responding to my messages. This morning my messages also showed as undelivered.
Buyers beware!

Hi parent. Sorry about the bad experices. We DO have refund terms for classes, please contact our customer service team: [email protected], we will come back to you ASAP.
After sales service is very poor, there is no communication between learning advisor and the teacher. The teacher herself admitted this that nothing communicated to her despite important information has been passed on. The teacher promoted herself and asked if we would like to have extra class (i.e., 2 classes per week), I responded that I would consider but did not promise her right away. She discontinued lessons with my daughter since, this is a huge impact on my daughter as she has been asking for her until now. We have been given a new teacher, her performance is different than in the video the company showed us. She is inexperienced, just wanted to get through the class, not enthusiastic, had phone with her during the class and got distracted. She is just going through the power point slides which any parents can do at home, what is a teacher for? We have raised this concern to the learning advisor, she asked us to give the teacher another chance and we did. The learning advisor does not have efficient communication, often miscommunicate, misinterpreted or ended conversation with sorry and that's the end. We are still truly disappointed with the teacher. The learning advisor then went disappeared, she did not respond to us promptly. Customer service is not helpful, they can't communicate with the teacher, they can't provide money back, they can't find us a better teacher. Initially I was being reassured that they have many teachers available to teach overseas students and time difference should not be a problem, in fact, they don't have many teachers available.

Dear customer, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're very sorry that this has been your experience. I've brought this case to customer service team and they had reached out to you today. They could help you resolve the issue. Hope your kid will enjoy the Chinese learning journey with us;)
I take 2 courses of Chinese and math class with you but unfortunately, don’t like the system how you redeem the point!! First, I bought a math course when I had problems about redeem point , the advisor help me immediately so I am so impressed. So I feel if you get a good advisor when you have problem they will help you to solve problems right away so i decided to buy another course which is Chinese course now I got the new advisor for Chinese class I feel when she needs me to buy a course. she tried so hard to contact me but after I bought a course when I got problem she hardly answer my questions and also didn’t help me so much to solve it so I just feel so upset
But the teacher who teach my girl is so nice and kids love to learn with them
I have problems about redeem the point I tried to post the poster so many time but my point didn’t show and i asked her since last Tuesday now I didn’t get the answer
We enjoyed the teachers from the trial class but after purchasing the sessions and trying out the other teachers, they don’t seem too engaging and does not teach/explain well. Just seems to finish the 25 minutes class. We decided to withdraw for now.
My 4yo had a trial class and he really enjoyed it. The teacher was lively and animated and can capture his attention well. He asked for more lessons after so it's a good start!
