They removed and cleaned everything they brought in. Very fast and efficient. Very nice.
I purchased carpet from NFD and after 2 months the carpet was showing signs of wearing. I notified them and they sent someone out to look at the carpet and confirmed it was in fact wearing. After I contacted the Better Business Bureau, they agreed to replace the carpet if I remove my complaint. Then they decided not to replace it because I took too long to get back with them for a date to replace the carpet. I now have to replace the carpet at my cost and still have to pay the finance company $3,200. Perhaps I should add more information since NFD feel the need to reply with lies. I was asked to have the carpet professionally cleaned in order to determine if the carpet was defective. I replied that that the carpet was new and having it cleaned made no sense, not to mention that the estimates for cleaning the carpet was $600.00. On July 9th I had a call from Alex at NFD that if I remove my complaint with the BBB they will replace the carpet. However, they were going to replace it with the same brand. Although I thought using the same brand did not make sense, I informed Alex that I will call him back with a date because I was experiencing health issues that I had to address. I called Alex back on July 14th to schedule a date to replace the carpet and he informed me that the offer was "Off the Table" because I had 3 days to respond. This is not true. Most telephone calls are recorded, and if my calls were recorded it will prove that NFD are not being truthful about what transpired. In addition, Alex informed me that they had all the information required and cleaning the carpet was no longer required.
We're disappointed to read this review because it does not accurately reflect what occurred. When you contacted us with concerns about your carpet, we responded by opening a warranty claim and working to evaluate the issue. At no time did National Floors Direct require you to remove your Better Business Bureau complaint in exchange for warranty service or a replacement. As we explained during the BBB process, your carpet is covered by both our installation warranty and the manufacturer's wear warranty. We have remained ready and willing to fulfill our obligations under those warranties. However, in order to proceed, we requested documentation necessary to process the claim. Unfortunately, that information was never provided, preventing us from completing the warranty process. Additionally, a refund is not a remedy provided under either the installation warranty or the manufacturer's warranty. We understand how frustrating flooring concerns can be, but we remain committed to honoring our warranty obligations. If you would still like to move forward, we encourage you to contact our Customer Service team so we can obtain the required documentation and continue processing your claim.
Their staff showed up on time. They had all the laminate flooring ready. They had a good attitude and worked as a team of two. They finish putting down the floor in a timely manner .They cleaned up when done .
This was the worse experience I have ever had with a co. The install took over two weeks, the crew consisted of one man to do an entire first floor, kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining, bedroom and hallway. For the price the quality was poor and the response from the service dept was no help. We now have flooring that has large gaps and their response was to buy more flooring from them to fix it, not a sorry what can we do to make this better since the entire experience was awful but for me to spend even more money to fix their mistake on flooring that is poor quality. Do not use them, you can find better installers and better quality elsewhere!!

did exceptional from sells to installation
I was promised an Amazon gift card if I filled out a favorable review from our floor installation. I did that and was awaiting the card. It did not come so I contacted the appropriate department and it was taken care of in about 3 days.
We secured 3 bids to replace the carpet in our master bedroom and hallway. Empire, National floors and a local contractor. National gave us the best price and we were very happy with the sales representative, the information provided and the promptness of scheduling the install. They were very thorough in confirming our decision, I received 2-3 calls to verify the style, rooms and date of installation. The installers were great and did a wonderful job. We are very happy with the process. The issues are as follows: National floors will only guarantee the product and installation if your sub floor is perfect, I mean 100% perfect. The installers indicated that our floor was a bit rough, it was a 20 year old subfloor. They contacted National and we were told that if we did not have a new subfloor installed they warranties would not be honored. The price to replace the subfloors for material alone was over $1600 and that was based on my research at Home depot and Lowes. We anticipated another $1500 or so for removal and installation. We discussed this with the installation crew and they felt the existing sub floor was stable and we should not have any issues. Now the cost for the flooring and installation was $4,000. So dropping another $3,000 for plywood seemed a bit outrageous. We opted to move forward with out the new sub flooring. As I said the installation was perfect and the floors look great. We are very happy with the job. Now we expected to get a follow up call or email or text on our satisfaction, but we did not. I waited over 5 weeks and still no follow up. I find this interesting. My concerns are as follows; We opted to not go with the subfloor, Now how many subfloors meet there criteria for the warranty to be effective, how many people put in a new sub floor for fear of having no warrant? My suspicion is that National floor has a greater than 50% rate of not honoring the warranty due to sub standard sub floors. And the lack of follow up makes me think that since we did not opt for the overpriced subfloor, they are done with us, they have our money and will not need to deal with us again. That is pretty sad if I am correct in my suspicions.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We're pleased to hear that you found our pricing competitive, had a positive experience with your sales representative, appreciated our communication throughout the process, and were happy with the quality of the installation. We'll be sure to share your kind words with the installation team. We'd also like to address your concerns regarding the subfloor and warranty. Our goal is never to sell customers work they don't need. However, flooring manufacturers require that floor-covering be installed over a structurally sound, properly prepared subfloor. When our installers identify conditions that could affect the long-term performance of the flooring, we're obligated to document those conditions and explain how they may impact warranty coverage. This isn't unique to National Floors Direct; it's a standard requirement throughout the flooring industry. It's important to note that declining a recommended subfloor repair does not automatically void your entire warranty. Rather, any issues that can reasonably be attributed to the pre-existing subfloor condition may not be covered. Your product and installation remain protected for all other warrantable issues. We're also sorry to hear you didn't receive a post-installation follow-up. That's certainly not the experience we strive to provide, and it was not related in any way to your decision regarding the subfloor. We value every customer long after the installation is complete. We truly appreciate your business and your thoughtful feedback. If you ever have questions about your warranty or need assistance in the future, our Customer Service team is always here to help. We hope you continue to enjoy your new carpet for many years to come.
Great experience from the consultation to the install completion.
National floors has been great with coming out to fix some minor repairs that were needed (scratches that we encountered on our side and one of the pieces flooring moving due to temp). The initial installation back on April 2025 was fast and good work. Whenever I called about the minor repairs they were quick about scheduling someone to come out and look and even repair it same day at no cost.
National floors direct made our selection and installation easy in replacing our carpet in the living room and hallway. Sales listened to our needs and offered the carpet that would fit both our traffic and our budget. Installation was quick and seemless. We highly recommend this company.
I know these other reviews have to be lies. I still have nightmares about the floor this company installed in our home. The builder grade floors we had for over 10 years in our home lasted way longer than the floors this company gave us. To start the product that they showed us at consultation is different than what they installed. They cut corners every possible opportunity that they could get. The biggest corner that they cut was on our staircase the stair noses on every single stair is hollow and breaking. This is extremely dangerous and someone in our home actually broke their foot and needed surgery because one of the star noses fell off when they were walking down the stairs. I’ve never seen floor installed so poorly. I really wish I could provide pictures because I have plenty of them. This company does bad business. Avoid them at all cost.
I got a quote for my small floor upstairs and the staircase of $1,590. They scheduled the install for Wednesday, July 8th, 2026. They called on Tuesday to say the product wasn't in yet so they needed to reschedule for Friday. I said ok but then Wednesday they showed up anyway while I was taking my granddaughter to the doctor after a tonsillectomy. The guys who showed up didn't know it was rescheduled but they could still do the floor. The stairs would be done on Friday. Ok, so the second crew showed up on Friday & said it would cost extra for the boarder binding on the rug! I paid $50 cash for the binding. To say the least, I was a little pissed because I had gotten a quote from Home Depot for $889. I should have taken that but I thought this would be better quality.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry the scheduling changes caused frustration, especially while you were caring for your granddaughter after her procedure. For additional context this carpet order was completed for $750, substantially less than both the original estimate and the competing quote you mentioned. Your purchase order agreement also clearly indicates that the stair binding was an optional finishing detail that you opted out of at the time of sale. We understand how unexpected changes or additional options can be frustrating if they are not communicated as clearly as they should be, and we'll review your comments internally. We appreciate the opportunity to complete your project and hope you enjoy your new flooring for many years to come.
Floor looks great - workers will diligent and cleaned up after. We are happy with our choice of flooring
These people are scammers. They tell you you have three days to cancel. When you call in the three days to cancel no one is able to help you, customer service isn’t allowed to do refunds and they say they can’t transfer you to someone else. When you dispute the charge with your bank, they send in false information stating that you agreed to pay the charges and never state that you called a left notice to cancel. They rob their customers. The service is horrible.
We're sorry to hear about your experience, but the claims in this review do not accurately reflect what occurred. National Floors Direct honors its cancellation policy and provides customers with multiple ways to communicate with us, including by phone, email, and text. All customer interactions are documented, and when a cancellation request is received within the applicable contractual timeframe, it is handled in accordance with the agreement. We also take charge disputes very seriously. Any documentation provided to a financial institution during a dispute consists of contemporaneous business records, including signed agreements and communication logs. We would never submit false information. Because this review is anonymous, we are unable to identify your account or investigate the specific circumstances. If you are a customer and would like us to review your concerns, please contact our Executive Customer Care team with your name, address, or order number so we can conduct a thorough review. We stand behind both our people and our processes and remain committed to treating every customer fairly and professionally.
