I forgot to cancel my subscription and when I saw that they charged me even though I didn't use the platform, i sent a request for a refund right away and in less than 24h they responded saying they will figure the refund. Great support which matters a lot to me.
I accidentally forgot to cancel my free trial and was charged for a full year. As soon as i saw the charge, i emailed Numerade support about my situation and they responded later that day and offered me a refund (minus one month) as a one-time courtesy which i will receive in 5-10 business days. Their team handled it professionally and resolved everything fast. I really appreciate the quick support and fair resolution.
Stay away! This is a complete scam. Difficult to cancel the trial and there are no emails to inform you of billing being processed. Customer support is unresponsive, and when you do receive a response it’s a generic blanket response.
Edited to add response after Numerade reply: It is completely untrue about receiving emails about subscription status. There are no emails sent when you’re billed for renewals. To cancel the subscription you have to click through numerous confirmations. Bottom line is avoid Numerade- there are several better and more legitimate alternatives available.
2nd Edit: subscription was not from the @cox.net email. I contacted support on 4/16/25 and received a generic blanket response. I sent follow up questions which received no response. I filed a BBB complaint to which Numerade never responded.

We do not see any emails or support tickets sent to our team under the email ********@cox.net. Nor are there any subscriptions tied to this email. All users receive both a welcome email, with trial, plan, and cancellation information, as well as a trial ending reminder email a day before their trial expires. The reason you see no email is again, there is no subscription tied to the email provided, and you used another one or multiple to sign up.
Hey there. To manage your subscription, simply log in to the
Numerade account that you created a subscription with (you may have multiple emails, so you must use the right one). Click the “profile” icon on the top right, and select “Billing.” Click “Cancel” and proceed through the steps to cancel your subscription (or just click on https://www.numerade.com/payments/billing/).
In addition, users receive multiple emails informing them of their subscription or trial start date and cancellation information, as well as a free trial ending reminder email.
Great site, helped me a lot with my homework! I added the one year subscription by mistake as I wanted to try it for one month. One email and my issue was resolved. Strongly recommend this site!
i have canceled my trial less than an hour after i signed up for it, and received a mail that says that they have canceled my plan and i also proceeded to delete my account but after what read on here and on other platforms i got a little worried that they will charge me

Hey Nour,
We do see you cancelled your trial as well as having received your cancel confirmation email. Rest assured, that is it. Unfortunately, the reviews you are referring to are users who either did not cancel their trials or had duplicate accounts. Users who cancel their trials can never be charged.
I’ve been trying for two days to cancel my free trial on Numarde, but every attempt results in an error message saying “something went wrong.” Despite multiple tries and no fault on my end, I still haven’t been able to cancel. With the billing date fast approaching (May 3rd), I’m extremely concerned I’ll be charged for a service I don’t want to continue.
There seems to be no easy or reliable way to stop the subscription, and the lack of prompt support only adds to the frustration. This experience has left me feeling misled and disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend signing up for the trial unless you’re willing to risk being charged against your will.

Hi Siena. Thank you for your review
It appears you created two separate accounts, using two different emails. You successfully self cancelled one, but not the other. You will need to login to the other account and self cancel as you did the other. For privacy sake, we cannot publicly share your differing emails, but, please email us at [email protected] (we do not see any prior messages to our team). The error message in question is "Payment Error: Your payment was not successful", as the card on file on that second account is failing, and the error itself is not related to the cancellation process. Once logged in, you can ignore that message and click the "Cancel" button.
I don’t remember when I subscribed however I realized I was subscribed to a yearly subscription today when I got hit with the charge. I emailed customer care about a refund and explained my situation and financial hardship. I was written back to within a few hours and will be receiving a refund.
I got a free trial because I wanted to test this service but then I was 2 days late to cancel the subscription and was charged the annual 80 dollar fee. :(
Luckily I contacted support right away and they got back to me immediately and are giving me almost a full refund minus a month! (Which is fine because I’m the one who waited too long to cancel before the trial ran out). Very fast and helpful service thanks to Kaitlin and I appreciate getting a refund!
This is a total SCAM. I definitely wasn't provided with sufficient notice of free trial and payment thing. Maybe I needed it for one single assignment/question and try the free trial. But I wasn't notified anything that I needed to keep paying for this service which I NEVER USED. Their customer service wouldn't issue any refund to you. Beware of this scam website. They are one of those companies just want your credit card number and allure you for recurring payment every month.

Hey QG. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review.
In taking a look at your situation, it appears the 7 day free trial was not cancelled, which is why you were charged. In addition, we see you were sent the two emails that are sent to all users, which are a welcome email with your plan information, as well as a free trial ending reminder email.
The platform itself is helpful to students. I also love how they understand and resolve subscription concerns/issues. It would always be my go to app whenever necessary. Thank you very much, Numerade!
Please check my email and do the refund for me ! My bank said that the number you gave me they cant check anything. Please check my email and let me know you do the refund for me through which bank or which apps !
SHADY COMPANY
I used a free trial to view some examples, but their solutions were completely incorrect. I ended the free trial right there and then. 7 months later I noticed I'm still being charged...

Hi there. Thank you for leaving us a review.
Numerade subscriptions include a free trial and are self-cancellable. After the trial ends, the plan is billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All subscriptions, both month-to-month and annual plans, are recurring and will automatically renew after the end of each paid subscription period. In this instance, the free trial was not canceled in the required time frame, nor were the subsequent months as well. If you have any questions please email us at [email protected].
So far, my experience has been positive. Unlike some of their competitors, they offer a free trial. I signed up for the trial and then cancelled, but one of the questions I asked was answered after I ended my trial. I was treated kindly and fairly in order to continue my trial in order to see the answer and video.
So I needed some help with stats and in some cases, the exact question I was looking for help on had already been answered. Some of the trickier ones I also ran by Chat GPT. I will say that one of the questions I looked up on Numerade was wrong, there was a typo, and I let them know. But Chat GPT had more errors in their calculations. So for that reason, I can confidently say that Numerade is my best option based on the competition and AI options.
it says if I want to see the answer than I need to sign up, and when I sign up it makes me pay

Hey there. We appreciate your review. Numerade is free to signup for, for all users. Most features, including our AI STEM chatbot, Ace, are actually free to use for students trying to master math and science. We also offer a free, 7 day trial, for users to experience Numerade Premium, which does carry a subscription (monthly or annual), for unlimited usage of other features, such as Educator Ask, where thousands of real educators are ready to create custom video tutorials for you.
Answers were never correct and help was worthless. I canceled TWICE and was billed for 2 months still! Can’t ever reach anyone! This is a scam and beware!

Hey Leslie. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We see your support ticket that was opened on December 12th has already been replied to and resolved. Our team confirmed that your free trial ended on November 11th, and was not cancelled until December 11th, when the second month renewed already. You successfully cancelled now and won't be charged after January 11th.
I really appreciate Kaitlin’s help. She was quick, professional, and genuinely made the process stress free for me. Very impressed! Great customer care!

Thank you for shouting out our all star employee, Kaitlin!
When I was arranging my credit card statement, I realized that I did not end the annually agreed free trial plan. Beside the plan was single payment for a year, they show understand and refund the payment of the remaining 11 months. It was fast response and quick action in order to refund.

Hey David. We are happy that our CS team was able to assist you. Thank you for your review!
I canceled my free trial like 3 months ago and being charged 29.95 a month. A total scam and fraud.

Hey Tyler. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. In looking at your account, we see your free trial ended on October 16th, 2024, and you were billed for 2 more months as you went ahead and self cancelled on November 16th. Your account will no longer be charged as you successfully cancelled your subscription.
I was surprised to see all of the negative reviews about customer service, because my experience was excellent. I had issues with not being able to access the features on my account, then attempting to cancel a subscription and delete my account. My phone has been glitching a bit lately anyways, plus I had several "Hide my Emails", none of which were to my actual account. I was confused on where the charge was coming from, especially since I hadn't gotten a chance to use the service and deleted everything. I emailed customer support and got an IMMEDIATE response from an incredibly helpful representative, Kaitlin. She was very quick, very kind, and very patient with me. After trying to figure out where the charge came from, she was able to find an account that I never realized was under my alternate email. My phone often autofills emails between my normal one and my alternate one, so I assume that the issue was my thinking it was the normal email the whole time. Not to mention my phone did not save an account or password with that email, so no wonder the account was lost. As a courtesy, I was issued a refund. Thank you Kaitlin for your help!
