What people say

Being a customer of 20+ years…

Being a customer of 20+ years apparently has no bearing on how a customer is treated. Pair's platform has been largely stale for more than a decade. The interface can be confusing, and it looks like it's straight out of 2006, but it's been functional, so I've stuck with them - until now. I'm actively shopping for an alternative registrar because Pair can't be bothered to offer a lousy $20 refund for a problem caused by their own platform's confusing email notifications.

I am very sorry to hear about this experience and I understand your concerns regarding the UI, as we have been in the process of getting that up to date. I will certainly follow up with our Pair Domains team in regards to our email wording. Thank you for taking the time to let us know so that we can improve!

You handled it quickly

You handled it quickly, replied to me, and now it works. I don't know who changed what (Gmail vs Pair) that suddenly caused the email to be blocked, but your support staff knew right away - and fixed it for me - Thank you

Google has indeed made a number of changes to the fundamental way that email works. Given that they are one of the largest email providers, the rest of the industry has been forced to adapt to this. I am glad that our team was on top of things and got it fixed up!

Historically Pair have always provided…

Historically Pair have always provided me with great service and support up until now and the new owners. Pricing is reasonable but could be more competitive for faithful customers of long standing. Recent changes to email setup were a pain with major cost implications for users, presumably new owners are seeking to monetise the setup. The online accounts help chat is an AI system but it worked well for me and answered my questions well.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this detailed feedback! The note about pricing will be evaluated to see what can be done. I am glad to hear the chatbot was helpful and remember you can always get in contact with a human via email 24/7 at: [email protected]

I had to migrate my websites to a new domain

I had to migrate my websites managed by Pair to a new domain. While it took several phone calls, over the course of several hours all was operating well, and the support people that I spoke to were patient, especially as this is something I have never done before (even though I have been using the web for decades). I appreciated the effort and glad that I was using Pair.

I am happy to hear that you were able to get everything working with your site! It is often surprising how a small change can turn into a whole project when it comes to the web. Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback.
