What people say

It has become worse!

It used to be quite straightforward when issuing and signing contracts but the recent changes that have been made to the platform are awful. It takes ages to figure things out and update data and it's not as user friendly as it used to be. So I'm not really happy with it, as it's now taking me ages to draft contracts!

The worst customer experience

The worst customer experience. On Pandadoc website, I saw I needed to upgrade to annual plan to get a specific functionality. Once upgraded, I realised the feature was never activated. I wrote to the support, 7 DAYS LATER, still no news. Meanwhile, my salesteam is waiting, we can't automate our process, I'm so mad.

PandaDoc is a powerhouse--mostly.

PandaDoc is a powerhouse! I used DocuSign for years (with mixed reviews), and when I discovered PandaDoc, it was a game changer! It has changed my small business! The ability to have dynamic documents, and easy to use template, and content libraries have shaved so much time off my schedule. The only reason it's not a 5-star review is that they keep making "updates" which are not improvements and add extra steps which are completely unnecessary! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Now PD is more difficult to use, and if they don't take the feedback and fix the glitches they caused in the last update, I may have to use another platform.

Terrible Customer Service with Lock-in Annual Terms

I thought I had cancelled, but it turns out it was only downgraded. Probably from an exit flow that made cancelling less clear than staying, and possibly my fault. Although I know I clicked "Cancel subscription." Then when we were billed, that VERY DAY I requested it be cancelled and refunded so that we weren't using up ANY time of the 365 days we were prospectively billed for. But despite the fact that they offer monthly subscriptions, I was told Pandadoc refuses to refund any of the 12 months of unwanted, unused services. You would think they'd treat a founding customer of nearly 10 years better and do what's right. Not the case. Beware. DO NOT sign an annual agreement with them. And use Google's e-signature for $10/mo instead.

Customer service is hot garbage

Customer service is hot garbage. They overhaul the software and broke all my forms. Can't get anyone on a phone or video call. Chat is slow and useless. Spent an over an hour on the chat only for them to not help at all, and suggest maybe we can schedule a call at some indeterminate time in the future.

Covert price change with hidden addons...

After three years on a yearly Business plan (USD 1,000+), PandaDoc suddenly and covertly changed the conditions of my plan without any clear, upfront notice. They now require an additional USD 2 for every document I generate automatically via Make.com, which was previously included in my subscription. When I raised the issue, they simply hid behind a “no-refund” policy and the claim that “we sent you an email,”. On top of that, their document emails consistently land in spam boxes, both for us and for our clients, which means every signature request has to be manually dug out of the spam folders. This is not a minor inconvenience but a recurring operational problem that affects our workflow and our clients’ experience. Overall, this combination of hidden pricing changes, extra per-document fees, and unreliable email delivery makes PandaDoc a stressful and costly choice. I strongly recommend staying away and exploring alternative services if you want to save both money and nerves.

They absolutely suck

They absolutely suck. I was a customer with my marketing agency for 3+ years for their base paid plan. Had multiple templates etc set up to make agreements/sales process efficient. I even moved to annual paying because it worked out cheaper for me. As soon as I did that, they entirely changed the features that their base paid plan to the point that it was so limited that I needed rebuild ALL of my templates etc because they had stripe payments, pricing tables etc set up on them. ZERO support from the company and completely blindsided, even after I paid for the full year. It's not un-usable for me. You genuinely suck ass lads. Boo.

They changed the rules of their plan so…

They changed the rules of their plan so that you could only have five templates, and what that means is that when you add more templates, you can't have more. They basically changed the rule of an existing pricing plan to try and force people to upgrade, which, to me, smells like foul play.

We had to move from an old account to a…

We had to move from an old account to a new one. Their product does nto support a template import in a way that actually works. We have been trying to give a solution to this matter with their support team but they dont know what is happening. they ask for approvals they get them and still dont do anything. I have never wrote a review about a tool in my life but this customer experience is so so bad I couldnt do else. That is much more than frustrating.

Not worth your time

Not worth your time. I used love this platform. Recently, they updated their interface and added a whole lot of useless AI. The platform is now unusable-- with NO SUPPORT AVAILABLE. The only support they offer in live time is an AI chat that doesn't listen and just sends you links to articles. If you ask for a human-- GOOD LUCK! I'm on WEEK 2 of emailing "support" with no end in sight. Twelve hours go by before a response from them, but if you take too long to reply yourself THE AI CLOSES THE CASE. No one will escalate the case or address the issues. DO NO WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The newest update is a significant step backwards.

PandaDoc has overhauled its UI for no apparent reason, resulting in a worse experience across the board. I've been receiving complaints from the team all day. Deleting a document is now a multi-step process: open the document, click to edit it, archive it, navigate to the archive section, and then delete. It used to take one button press. Adding a text box, the building block of virtually every document, has been buried behind a menu. PandaDoc markets itself as a drag-and-drop builder, yet the drag-and-drop approach is gone. The activity timeline has been replaced with an AI chatbot. When you click the timeline, it opens a chat interface that "thinks" for a full minute before summarising what you could previously read at a glance. I genuinely cannot fathom who tested and approved this. Just show me the information. Why is it hidden behind an AI chatbot? And if you could accept a trade-off in usability for speed, you'd still be out of luck. It's way slower. Hugely disappointing.

Overpriced, rigid billing, and zero flexibility

I've been in business long enough to know when a software company doesn't actually care about its customers, and PandaDoc is a perfect example. The billing structure is a nightmare. API credits are sold separately, on top of an already expensive subscription, with zero transparency about how fast you'll burn through them. I went over my API credit limit mid-month and rather than a heads-up or grace period, I just got cut off. No warning. No buffer. Just broken workflows. When I reached out to support asking for a partial refund, or even a credit toward the next month, I was told flat out that refunds are not offered under any circumstances. For a platform at this price point, that's genuinely insulting. You're paying premium SaaS prices for a company that treats you like a transaction, not a customer. The interface looks clean but the functionality underneath is fragile. Integrations break, the API documentation is spotty, and getting real help from support feels like pulling teeth. I switched to GoHighLevel (GHL) and I genuinely don't know why I waited so long. GHL handles document workflows, e-signatures, and automation all in one place, at a fraction of the cost. The UI is intuitive, the support is responsive, and it actually integrates seamlessly with my existing stack without nickel-and-diming me on API usage. PandaDoc might look polished in a demo, but in real-world use it's overpriced, inflexible, and the no-refund policy should be a dealbreaker for any business owner who values their money. Save yourself the headache and look at GHL first.

Used to be decent, no MCP or API access unless on Enterprise?!

Used to be decent, but the friction it's supposed to be preventing is nearly at the point we're better off back in Google Docs. Buggy experience when creating proposals and their attitude towards product development has gone out the window. No API or MCP access in 2026 unless on Enterprise? Or pay $40 a month +$1 per document. Really? As a Saas product you guys need to really rethink or customers are going to be dropping like flies.

Product works great. Its everything else that leaves a lot to be deisred

The product itself is solid and does what it promises. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the account management, support, and renewal experience. Getting in touch with support is unnecessarily difficult. We found ourselves overspending. When renewal came around and we wanted to downgrade to a lower tier, we were told that per their MSA, changes had to be made 30 days before contract expiration — otherwise, we'd auto-renew at full retail pricing. No proactive heads-up from our account manager. No flexibility offered. When we pushed back and asked for a plan that fit our actual usage and budget, they refused to work with us. Instead, they informed us we would be invoiced for the full renewal amount and sent to collections if we didn't pay. For a company spending real money on software, this is not an acceptable way to treat customers. The product earns its stars — the vendor relationship costs them.
