I did not have the best experience…
I did not have the best experience with Proven. I liked the product but did not love it. The cleanser stated that it was an exfoliant, but it was really more of a cream cleanser. The day moisturizer was not moisturizing enough and left me feeling very dry. I would have liked the option to not have sun protection in the day moisturizer because I already have protection in my makeup. The night cream was really the only thing that I liked. I also had an unfortunate experience with the subscription service. I love subscriptions usually because they offer flexibility but also mean that I will never run out of product. Proven unfortunately did not make it easy to delay this subscription, nor was their email communication very clear about my second shipment that was coming up. They sent an email about it, but rather than the email being very obvious and defined about the upcoming shipment, it was nowhere in the title of the email and was hidden way down in the body of the message. I had already received so many follow up and marketing emails from Proven that I did not notice that this one was actually telling me it was my last chance to stop the upcoming shipment. So unfortunately I was charged for a shipped a second batch of product that I did not want or like. I really wanted to love this product but there were just too many little things that missed the mark for me, and the final straw was being charged $120 without feeling like I had proper notification to stop it. And I should note that my follow up communication with customer service about this did not go well. The person got very confrontational and personal, and blocked me on social media when I tried to tell my story.
somewhat surprised
I am somewhat surprised by the glowing reviews. Conceptually, I love this product but in actuality I MUST be doing something wrong because if anything, my skin is worse. Admittedly, my skin has been really bad since COVID, but Proven didn’t help. Day moisturizer is basically sunscreen and nearly moisturizing enough and night cream is sort of sticky. Not a fan. My skin seems even more activated than before. Bummed.
Great Skincare Line! Sub-Par Customer Service.
I love the skincare products aside from the smell of the neem oil in the night cream, but I’m ok with compromising a smell I don’t like for great skin! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is on the tech/customer service side. I recently moved and my proven box was shipped to my old house. I had tried to log in and change my address on my phone but it told me to reset my password every time and the password reset link never worked. So I reached out to customer service (care) team about the password issue and my address change and never received anything back. So now not only did I have to bother my old landlord about getting my package, my most recent shipment got sent to my old address as well! It would be nice if they had a more mobile friendly website so that issues like this wouldn’t happen. I’m also bummed that no customer care rep has reached out to me regarding my issues. I now know that in order to do anything with my Proven account I have to do it from my computer.

I tried to cancel my second order but was not successful. I wanted to like these products, however, the face wash leaves my skin with a greasy feeling and the SPF moisturizer leaves a white tint on my face. I am very disappointed with this product.
This is one of the worst companies to…
This is one of the worst companies to do business with. They store your credit card and automatically ships products to you. You CANNOT RETURN products because they claim to custom make your products. My experience with them is based on first hand where I canceled my order, only to receive it two months later. If the product worked, I would not have mind, but it does not work. It clogged my pores, caused breakouts because they loaded it up with sunscreen. They say you can cancel your order at anytime, yet, the website is confusing and does not lead you to do this easily. Very deceptive.

I enjoy the smell and feel of the products, however, after using the products for a couple of months, I’ve still not had any change in my melasma nor in my fine lines or wrinkles.

I am giving this 3 stars because I figured a 3 step system would save me time & money, having everything bundled up. But it did not. Let’s start with the pros: My favorite is the night time moisturizer. I feel I am waking up to better skin with each day. I think this is probably their best product they have to offer since it’s super customized plus it works while you sleep. The cleanser I can’t really tell if it’s doing what it’s supposed to.. I used top cleansers from dermatologists’ offices so kind of hard to compete with them but I would say it’s at least up to par with what professional skincare experts have to offer. The con: The moisturizer. I absolutely hate it. It leaves a white cast on your face AND you’re supposed to apply it every 2 hours??? I would love to know who actually does this. Without disturbing makeup & all. & I can’t imagine just piling this on as the day goes by as your skin becomes dirtier. I also noticed I was getting a bunch of tiny puss filled white-heads which I had a feeling this was the culprit, & I was right. As soon as I stopped it, those also stopped too. Would return & get a refund for this item if I could. So I’m back to using my daytime moisturizer which my face does not complain about. So far will continue the other 2 products & see how it goes..
Proven in some positive ways
I chose PROVEN and I’ve been using the products for over six months now because I like that they formulate the products per my individual needs and context, which evolve over time naturally. The fact that it’s also just three holistic products makes my skincare routine easy and short. All of these are great, and one of the biggest gains for me has been the minimized breakout around my period (a win for me)! The cleanser and day moisturizer—I’m still not very satisfied by and I really hope the company can improve the formulations so I can amend my review to 5 stars.
Not completely sold
I suffer from Acne and fine wrinkles; the joys of being in your 30's and still breaking out. I saw this advertisement for "custom" all-natural skincare line and it caught my attention. After the first week my face started getting really dry, no matter how much moisturizer I put on, it was flakey and I couldn't hide it under my makeup. I emailed the team and they said they would change my formula for the next shipment.. which was good, but I had to go back to using a moisturizer before both the Proven morning moisturizer and the Proven evening moisturizer. I got my second shipment and all the ingredients looked the exact same. I told myself I would give it a full 6 months of use before giving up, but I am 4 months in and still breaking out. I also havent noticed a change in my fine wrinkles. I still have to use extra moisturizer every day or my skin will get dry. I have increased my water intake from 1 gallon per day to 1.5-1.75 gallons per day, and have been on that for 5 months. It doesn't really feel custom at all.
AutoGenerated Service doesn’t work
I was initially happy with my experience with Proven during the initial trials of their products and working online to get my products. I was receiving consistent communications email and was walked through how to update the regiment as needed. I had a few complaints with the initial products (smell, tint of moisturizer) and updated my regimen based on directions received. Unfortunately by doing that I received double product and charges on the next cycle. Proven does not refund and their service responses always seem auto generated. I decided to cancel my membership as I don’t need to hassle with poor service and online systems to get good product.
Still waiting on results
I was excited to try Proven. I was previously using so many different products. My big concerns were fine lines, wrinkles, elasticity, dryness and redness. With my first order I did notice an improvement in the redness of my skin. I haven’t yet noticed a difference in wrinkles or elasticity. I recently received my second set and am hoping my skin will continue to improve with time. My skin routine has definitely simplified but I’m still needing to use extra products like eye creams
Love the products, but not enough cleanser
I am on my second set of Proven products. Pros: simplified skincare routine, love the way my skin feels with all 3 of the products, visible changes in the tone and fine lines on my face (for the better). Cons: if using the cleanser according to the instructions (1-2 pumps, AM & PM), it runs out WAY sooner than the other two products, meaning you have to supplement with other products, use less frequently, or use less than the amount suggested in the directions. For example, my first round of cleanser only lasted 2 weeks using 2 pumps 1x per day. I emailed customer service hoping to get some advice/recommendations (e.g.: "try smaller pumps - a pea size amount goes a long way" or "yes that's feedback we've received from other users and we are looking at solutions." However, I received this response: "Our products are designed for 45-60 day recommended usage. However, the usage truly varies from person to person." I wish the care team had been more transparent/helpful/empathetic in recommending some solutions. There is NO WAY the cleanser would last for that timeframe, especially since the instructions say to cleanser 2x per day (before using both the day and night cream). With such a large discrepancy between my usage and the designed intent, I am still not sure if that is user error or poor product design. Either way, it diminishes any cost savings and convenience of using one system because I have to supplement with other cleansers in between.
Gradual improvements
I’ve seen some improvements with my overall skin. My skin seems to have more luster, less breakouts (especially important now thanks to daily masks), and reduction of wrinkles. I’m going to continue using Proven as I know change takes time and consistency. I like that I can modify my formula based upon the changing seasons and my skin needs.
Not worth the money
Not thrilled with the outcome after 3+ months. Between the price, and quality of product, I plan to take my business elsewhere. I really wanted to believe it would get better after a few months of use (as they promised, after I direct messaged them saying my skin is actually worse now). Night cream smells like sulfur, have to take the top off the face wash, as the pump doesn’t work.
Some products better than others.
I do like the night cream as it is thick but don’t love that the cleanser does not take off my make up and i find the daytime moisturizer to be a little sticky.
I like the concept of Proven, but...
I like the concept of Proven. The skin quiz and the ingredients. And I like the products themselves. However, I have found no change in my skin, or skin concerns. I have been using the products going on 8 months. I've addressed this with them and hopefully I see a change, and improvements with my concerns, soon. I would gladly give a higher rating if this happens because I do like the products and such.
Better results for the price
Honestly I really haven't seen a difference in my skin since I started using this product. For the cost of this product I expected to see some kind of change. One think I got say is I'm not a fan of the smell of the night cream, wish it didn't smell so strong. The cleanse and moisturizer are nice but I feel my face feels the same as when I use my normal cleanser and cream.

I may come back and update this, but for now, three stars. My first shipment arrived damaged, the pump of the cleanser was broken, and I had to scoop the product out of the container. NO ONE from customer service would answer my emails. I finally decided to use the product, and I like the cleanser, but it smells waxy. The day moisturizer is pretty good, the night is really harsh, but my skin is softer, I think. I have sent an email to customer service to request shipments every 12 weeks, but I fear I may run out of the cleanser sooner than the other products. We will see . . . Anita
Not amazed
I've received my third shipment but I'm not yet convinced this is for me. I was intrigued by the ability to have products custom made for me. I'm 55 and although I don't have wrinkles yet the skin on my face is starting to sag at the jowl line. I'm also still breaking out at times and have large pores. I broke out more with the first formulation. I was able to tweak my formulation for the next shipment, which was great. Although I'm not breaking out now I haven't seen an improvement in my pores. I like the simple two step process and only needing three products. I think I need to tweak my formulation again to see improvements.
