The thought of paying a monthly subscriptions to fuel my passion for sports photography just didn't seem right to me. I actually felt betrayed by Adobe, but it turned out to be a mixed blessing. My search for a new photo editing option led me to Luminar Neo and I've never been happier. Intuitive, robust, powerful, this might be the best tool ever found for my photos. I have been using Luminar for years now. Not only as a plugin for Lightroom Classic or Photoshop but more often as a standalone app. It does so much more on it's own than other applications. Layers, masking, effects, you name it, it does it all. Not to mention all the great Luminar video's on YouTube for learning things that you couldn't emagine before.
So thanks Luminar: keep up the good work.

I sent an email to Luminar support and had an answer within about 3 hours, which I thought was pretty quick. I've been using the various Luminar iterations and versions for several years now and really like the product and functionality. This was my first experience that I've had to contact support and am very pleased with the result.

The conversation with the support executive was very concise and helpful. After the conversation was concluded, i immediately upgraded to fall 2026 version. The tool itself provides very easy interface and features for photo editing. This is my go to tool for photo editing. They can add more fetures to mask like intersection, etc.in the future. Hopefully they will never move to a subscription only model, and always provide option for lifetime license.

Luminar - great results and first-in-class support
I've been a Skylum customer for several years and I've come to rely on their Luminar photo editing software as my principal desktop tool. It is easy to use, fairly intuitive, but also incredibly powerful. Luminar is great fun to work with and the boost in image quality is astonishing. There are plenty of LUTS and preset addons but I also get lots of satisfaction from using the extensive range of image enhacement tools to produce unique results for each image. The customer support is also top of class. Responses are fast, empathetic and reliable. I recommend this product without any hesitation.

I live on the other side of the world from the Team and it is so easy thanks to technology to reach them. I absolutely love Luminar Neo (soon to be just Luminar). I am a senior citizen and I was a little puzzled with something online and I sent them an email trying to explain what I didn't understand! Within a few hours I received an full explanation and it was so clear and informative I was very happy! Customer Service is great, never had an issue. I am looking forward to the two new upgrades that are coming, it's always fun to find out what they have added. Thank you to all the staff!

Oh fantastic, another great photo editor goes into subscription mode. Lifetime member here since Luminar 4 (yes I purchased updates all the way up), won't be coming back. Greed will kill this editor and before they argue the cost of tools is expensive - no one asked to add AI slop into this, remove that and you will save a lot of funds.

Hi there! Our new offer, Luminar Prime, is not a usual subscription model. It allows you access to certain features forever: Fall Upgrade 2026 tools (Crop 2.0, Atmosphere 2.0, AI Assistant 2.0, Improved Enhance AI), and Luminar on Web. The other part of the tools (Generative AI tools, Spaces, Creative assets) is available on a yearly basis while the subscription is active. In other words, you can keep your version of Luminar as it is, or upgrade it with Luminar Prime. It's totally optional. You can also cancel the subscription right after purchasing if you'd like to abstain from future charges. The paid functionality that stays with you forever won't disappear even after Luminar Prime expires.
I recently contacted Skylum Support with a question about my subscription, and I was impressed by how quickly they responded and resolved my issue. I've been using Luminar for many years and continue to enjoy it. Knowing that their support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful gives me even more confidence in the product. Excellent customer service!

I have been using “Luminar Neo” photo editing app from Skylum for about a year. I must say I am truly impressed with the value I get for my money. Recently, I pre-ordered their “Luminar Prime” upcoming in the fall/2026. From what I have seen and heard about it so far, it looks like it is a knockout. On Saturday (Aug 1/2026) I contacted their chat bot with some deep questions the chat bot could not answer, but it said it would hook me up with a live rep to address my questions. I initially thought, yeah, it will probably come back with something like, “explain your problem and an agent will contact you on Monday.” But to my complete surprise, Anastasiia (a live agent) contacted me within 2 minutes. She answered all my questions to my total satisfaction. WOW! Now that’s service. I am sold on Skylum, period.
