Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Consumers frequently praise the stunning sparkle, brilliant stones, and top-notch craftsmanship of their custom rings, noting that the final pieces look even better in person. People really appreciate the highly intuitive website, exceptionally helpful design support, and clear order tracking that make the entire journey completely seamless. However, some customers also noted frustrating shipping delays, unhelpful customer service responses, and unexpected high restocking fees upon making returns. A few reviewers mentioned that certain items arrived missing important design details, suffered from poor quality, or looked completely different than pictured.

Everything from start to finish was great and the finished product is amazing
Not impressed with the packaging or ring case, you can do better
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy you love the ring and that it arrived within 13 days of your purchase date. We are sorry to hear that the ring box did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate you sharing that with us. Regarding the shipping packaging, we do intentionally ship all orders through FedEx in a standard, discreet package so the contents are not recognizable as jewelry. This is done for the safety and security of each shipment. That said, we understand your comments about the ring case itself and will share your feedback with our team as we continue looking for ways to improve the customer experience. - The Art of Jewels
I knew exactly what I wanted but was unable to find it anywhere. Art of jewels custom did my engagement ring and was amazing in every step of the process! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Thank you so much for sharing this! We are thrilled we could help bring your vision to reality and create the engagement ring you had been searching for. It means so much to know you felt supported throughout the custom process, and we’re honored to have been part of such an important moment. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and love!
They sold me a ring and could not provide the center stone. They would not return emails or phone calls. I asked for my money back. Crickets. I am now fighting with PayPal to get my money back. Do not buy anything from them. Horrible.
Dear Jim, I am writing to address your order and clarify the situation regarding your refund. Our standard production time is 10–18 business days. While your setting was completed on schedule at our New York facility, there was an unfortunate delay in receiving your diamond from the international grower. This specific stone was being featured at an international show and was returned to the grower later than expected. When you emailed to cancel the order, the diamond was already in transit to our San Francisco office. Our representative, Linda, attempted to reach you by phone to discuss this, but we understand a dispute was filed with PayPal that same day. Please be aware that once a dispute is filed, PayPal immediately removes the funds from our account. It typically takes PayPal up to 15 business days to process these funds and deposit them back into your account. Your ring was ready for shipment the same day we received the dispute notification; however, we could not proceed without speaking with you first. We sincerely apologize for the delay and the inconvenience this has caused. Had we been able to connect via phone, we could have issued a refund immediately to ensure you received your funds faster. Thank you for your patience.
If i could rate them a ZERO, I would. Their cuustomer service was the WORST through the whole process. They took almost double the time to deliver my engagement ring with little to NO communication. I had to keep contacting them back when they kept promising to reach out. I would have cancelled the whole order but their refund policy is a joke and I would've had to wait 30 days or more to get my money back. I will absolutely take my business elsewhere as you should too.
Hi Eric, I have reviewed the details of your order and the recent interactions with our team. Your order was placed on March 30th. With our standard 12-business-day production timeline, the estimated shipping date was April 15th. While your setting was ready by April 12th, the center diamond, which, like all our diamonds, was arriving from overseas, experienced a delay in the U.S. Customs. The package cleared customs on April 20th and arrived at our San Francisco facility on April 21st. We set the stone and shipped your ring the same day. How did a four (4) day delay turn out to be " Double the time"? To accommodate this, we upgraded your shipping from two-day to overnight, and tracking shows you signed for the package on April 22nd. Our records also show consistent communication with you from April 10th through April 21st. Here is the real reason why you are upset: Today, May 26th, you contacted Shila, our customer service rep, via our live chat asking for a $75 resizing credit/refund for resizing that you did with your local jeweler. Our representative explained that we do not offer monetary refunds for resizing within the U.S. Instead, we provide free resizing, including round-trip shipping, as outlined in our policy here: https://theartofjewels.com/static.php?page=about-us/resizing-policy. When you realized that you had read our policy wrongly, you started cursing our female rep. We have documented the inappropriate language used toward Shila during your chat today and have attached the screenshots for reference. Here is proof of the communication via Chat today: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Uop7hegoCkcuMuNDLHQwiGNJC4L5GWlA?usp=sharing We stand by the quality of our jewelry and the transparency of our process. We wish you the best with your future wife.
Website is easy to use and selection easy. Love my ring!❤️

Absolutely a blessing and a relief to know I’m in good hands with The Art of Jewels. Yes they’re real , Yes it’s real , and Yes this was not a scam . I repeat was not a scam. I have received my absolute Beautiful breath taking Diamond God bless this place for making my Everything .
I want to say first and foremost, I absolutely love my engagement ring and wedding band. They are gorgeous and look very high-end. People have commented that my now husband must have paid a fortune for them. The quality is impeccable. The prices made a somewhat unbearable experience almost worth it. My husband ordered my engagement ring on Jan 4th because he wanted to propose at a family event on Feb 1st. Plenty of time according to AOJ’s published shipping window. The communication after casting started was non-existent. Only when he would initiate communication through email would he get an update. My ring had to be recasted but he wasn’t told this until after the shipping window had passed. He expressed concern that the ring wouldn’t arrive in time and AOJ stated they would try to make our event date. Unfortunately the ring didn’t arrive until after our family event due to weather delays. So he missed the opportunity he originally planned for. Despite our initial experience, we choose to order my wedding band from AOJ because I wanted the matching band to give my set an all around custom look. Thinking our first experience was an unfortunate chain of events, we ordered the band on Feb 20th for our March 27th wedding. Again communication was lacking unless we initiated first. I will say through email, they are quick to respond. I inquired for the week before the wedding and the lead qa person was out on leave. So AOJ sent me a loaner ring because our ring wouldn’t be ready for our wedding. I appreciated having something but I will never get back the moment my husband put my actual ring on my finger at our wedding. Almost 2 weeks after the wedding, I reached out again because we hadn’t received the ring. I was told that they wouldn’t ship my ring until they had proof that the loaner had been sent back. No one ever communicated that to me and to hold my paid ring hostage was unacceptable. Again my rings are gorgeous. Would I order again, yes but not if I’m on a timeline and not if I expect or need regular status updates.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are very glad to hear that you love both your engagement ring and wedding band, and that the quality, craftsmanship, and value of the finished pieces met your expectations. We do want to respectfully clarify the timing, because these orders moved through production during a difficult winter shipping period in New York and the surrounding region. In January, the New York region experienced a coastal snow event at this time that brought several inches of snow across the area, followed by multiple additional winter weather events in February, including snow, sleet, ice, freezing rain, and strong winds that were just out of our control, unfortunately. Those conditions affected carrier movement, regional transit, and the reliability of both incoming and outgoing shipments during the same period your custom orders were being completed. While we understand how important your dates were, the delays were tied to factors outside of our control, including incoming stone and material arrivals, quality-control timing, and weather-related shipping disruption across the region. We also want to clarify that we did communicate updates regarding the delays. We understand you would have preferred more frequent status updates, especially with an engagement and wedding timeline involved, and we do apologize for that, but the delays themselves were not due to a lack of action by our team. When concerns were raised, our team responded, continued working to move the orders forward, and, in the case of the wedding band, provided a loaner ring so you would have something available for your ceremony. Regarding the completed wedding band, the loaner ring did need to be returned before the final ring could be released. We understand that the step may have been frustrating, but the final ring was not being withheld without reason. We are pleased that you love the finished rings and that the quality exceeded expectations. We also appreciate the feedback regarding communication. Custom jewelry timelines can be affected by casting, quality control, incoming arrivals, carrier movement, and severe winter weather, and while we always work to complete and ship orders as quickly as possible, some factors are simply outside of our control. That being said, we appreciate your feedback and apologize for the delay caused by the storms. Most importantly, we are glad you love your rings. :-) Congratulations.
I had an amazing experience purchasing my engagement ring. From start to finish, the service was top-tier. They answered every question I had quickly and thoroughly, which made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. What really stood out was their attention to timing—they made sure I received the ring just in time for my proposal date, which meant everything to me. On top of that, they’re resizing the ring free of charge, which just shows how much they care about their customers. Overall, incredible service, great communication, and a company that truly goes the extra mile. Highly recommend!
FINAL UPDATE: The company’s response above speaks for itself. Instead of apologizing for a poor experience, they have resorted to: Publicly shaming a customer's grammar and language skills. Admitting they track my IP address and using my location to imply I am a 'fake person. Claiming that a ChatBot interaction doesn't count as a customer experience, even though I reached out with a genuine intent to buy a high-end item. Whether I found them via Google search or an ad, and whether I am in the US or Europe, doesn't change the fact that they were rude. Their agreesive, PARANOID, and insulting responses only confirm my original point: this is not a company that values professional communication. I am a real person. My proof was verified by Trustpilot team. The fact that the company is so triggered by a single honest review is a huge RED FLAG for any potential buyer. Read their response and decide for yourself if you want to deal with this level of hostility. Inital review: Worst communication so far. Looking for an expensive item and have enquired several companies. This company didn't even bother to say "hello" when talking to a customer, nor did they answer my questions. They simply stated they don't provide real videos of stones. UPDATE: After I posted this, the company tried to have my review deleted by falsely claiming to Trustpilot that I was a "fraudster" and never contacted them. Trustpilot investigated my evidence (email transcripts), rejected their false claim, and officially reinstated my review. Not only is their service dismissive, but they also use unethical tactics to hide honest customer feedback.
Updated Response 4/30/26: Hello Noemia, We’re going to address this directly, because your characterization doesn’t align with what actually occurred. At the time of your review, you did not provide sufficient identifying information beyond a first name, which required us to request clarification before we could meaningfully engage. The interaction you referenced came through our on-site ChatBot system (you never actually talked with us, as your review refers to). This was not a standard client purchase or shopping experience, and based on the available data, you were located outside of the United States, in Serbia. We do not ship internationally, as we advised you, and we do not advertise in your region. That alone means you were not, and could not be, a purchasing customer of The Art of Jewels. Despite that, your questions were still answered accurately and efficiently. We clearly stated our policies: we do not provide custom videos of stones, and our fulfillment timelines are approximately 10 days; we do not service orders outside of the U.S. There was no dismissiveness, and there was no failure to respond, just straightforward answers that didn’t match what you were looking for. As for the Trustpilot claim, we challenged the review because, based on the information initially available, we could not verify you as a legitimate customer or lead. Trustpilot did not determine your claims were “true”; they simply chose to allow the review to remain. That distinction matters. What raises concern here is the pattern: -Your IP address is from Serbia, which raises the question: how did you find us? We do not advertise on Google, and we do not have any presence in the Balkans. -Our system shows that you “Found us on Google,” but we do not advertise on Google -You asked several questions on our ChatBot and received answers to those questions. -We do not provide real-life videos, except for the ones we have on our site. -It takes 10 days for us to ship. Your response to the ChatBot was: “You don't even bother to say hello. nice service” It was difficult to read your response and questions, as even this sentence you wrote had many grammatical mistakes and was contextually broken. After that, you went to Trustpilot and searched for our name. We do not have a contract with TrustPilot, and we do not showcase that on our site. This means that you are a fake user and you basically targeted us. After this, you then edited your review multiple times. You have spent a lot of time revising your review and harassing us for someone who is not even a customer. You've never purchased from us, and your only interaction with us is a question answered by our ChatBot. Fake review by a Fake person that is targeting us. You know it, we know it, and now everyone who will read this review will know it as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello Noemia, We do not have you in our system, nor do we have an email from the one you provided. Additionally, you are not a customer as you provided no order number. Also, your ip address is from Serbia, where we don't advertise because we don't sell outside the United States, so clearly this is a targeted attack on us and untrue.
this was my second purchase they have very best prices and top quality lab diamonds available veey honest people to deal with biught large fabulous stones
Thank you so much for coming back to us for a second purchase—we truly appreciate your continued trust. It means a lot to hear that you’re happy with both the quality of your lab diamonds and the value you received. We’re especially glad you felt confident in the experience and transparency—that’s something we work hard to maintain with every client. And it sounds like you selected some incredible stones! If there’s ever anything you need as you continue building your collection, we’re always here to help.
I ordered a ring at the end of Feb. It was expected to be finished and to arrive mid-March. It is now April 1 and the item still hasn't even shipped, yet alone arrived. I understand there are sometimes delays, but this is a big delay and there has been ZERO communication from the company regarding it. At this point, I have no idea if the item will arrive in time since I have no idea when it will actually ship, and even if it arrives, there's no time to follow up on any issues. If my item doesn't ship in the next few days I'm going to have to cancel the order. I don't want to because at this point I waited for a month, but what else can I do? They don't leave you with many options. Really unfortunate experience. Edit: AoJ has responded to me so I'm replying back to them. To AoJ: As far as the customer is concerned, production delays and delays in sending out shipments are the company's responsibility and within your control. While I appreciate the explanation of what happened, it unfortunately doesn't change my current problem which is: - The ring is 2 weeks late from what I was promised as the fulfillment date when I put in the order, leading to pressure and stress because the ring was ordered for a specific event that is coming up. This time is also growing each day since the ring has not arrived yet. - I still have no idea when my item will actually ship to me. You mention SF receiving the item and then they will ship it, but...when? I have been receiving responses from your team when I reach out that my item will "ship tomorrow" or "ship this week" for 2 weeks now. You can check my emails and chats with your Customer Service team. If what you said is true and the ring hadn't even arrived in SF to be shipped to me, why is your CS telling me opposite information? - There's been no attempt by your company to compensate or relieve the inconvenience that was caused by the company. I am leaving this review up until I receive an actual resolution to my problem.
Hi Mirzada, I would like to provide an update on your order and explain our logistics process. Typically, items are manufactured at our New York facility and then shipped to our San Francisco office for a final quality check before being sent to the customer. Your order was placed on March 1st, and with our standard 12-business-day turnaround, it was originally scheduled to ship on March 17th. Unfortunately, our New York facility was closed for six days starting February 23rd due to severe weather, which created a production backlog. Your ring was completed on March 27th and shipped to San Francisco that same day. The FedEx package containing your ring was delayed at their Memphis facility but was released yesterday for delivery today. Although a delivery attempt was noted, our team has been on-site since 8:30 AM PST to receive it. You can monitor the progress here: FedEx Tracking Link (https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/?trknbr=870026031041&trkqual=2461126000~870026031041~FX) We will ship your ring to you as soon as the package arrives at our office. We sincerely apologize for these delays, which were beyond our control. Best, AOJ Team
Amazing purchase experience and excellent communication! They even expedited my order so that my wife would receive her new ring just in time for Christmas! She absolutely loves her new diamond ring and shows it off any chance she gets! Highly recommended!
This place was amazing - I was so stuck finding a ring I loved. I'd found two different rings I LIKED, but one was missing what the other wasn't (and vice versa). Basically I wanted a hybrid. Using this site I was able to provide one link, and one picture - then less than 2 days later I had a design that was SUPER close to how I was thinking. I just wrote a couple of tweaks I wanted, and in the next 2 days the tweaks were done and it was perfect! I just selected my ring size and ordered it in less than a week. It was surprisingly affordable - in all honesty the only downside was that it took a minute to ship, but after reaching out one of the representatives informed me it was due to storms in New York (which I couldn't blame them for). Another thing I love about it is that it's unique. Like, not only did I choose what I wanted but I'm also the only one in the world who has this design and it feels so special. I haven't needed replacing/any kind of service so far but the experience I had was incredible.
My experience was rather unique and a full showing of what level of professionalism this company operates with. Before that I will skip to what most want to know, the diamonds are true to their IGI ratings, they come as pictured when you design them and above all else extremely beautiful. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER TO DO THEIR RESEARCH ON WHAT CARAT SIZE AND SHAPE IS SUITABLE FOR THE BAND WIDTH OF THE SETTING. Back to my experience: I ordered an engagement ring for my fiancé 6 months in advance to be extra careful. It was a very detailed ask and well made ring which I was willing to wait for but when the original package came to me, someone working for FedEx opened the package and stole the ring out of the box before resealing it and sending me an empty one. I immediately filed a police report to have it on record, called FedEx and reached out to the company however it was past working hours on a Friday night. I sent a video of how the box came to me and how the inside had clearly been tampered with and the ring was missing to the customer support email that night and also called to leave a voicemail. The next morning on a Saturday I received a call in which they confirmed that they indeed sent the ring and were going to immediately escalate the situation to management. The day after that, Sunday morning I got an email from Tayler expressing that it was unfortunate that this happened and they opened a claim with FedEx and demanded an investigation. On top of that the immediately began work on getting me a replacement ring and remaking it for me free of charge. I finally got the replacement ring and it is the exact thing I was expecting to arrive the first time around, they were even able to get the same quality, shape, color, and cut of diamond so I was super happy to get it!
Got my Fiance's engagement ring here and it is STUNNING. I went for a lab grown 2 carat stone with a cathedral band. We just went out to some social gatherings and I could not BELIEVE how many people commented on it. The ordering experience was great. And customer service was extremely quick to respond. Would definitely recommend working with them!
I got the dilia setting in 14k yellow gold with platinum prongs with a 3 carat round stone and the winter 7 stone band (3/4) ctw also in 14k yellow gold. I ordered with my husband for an upgraded bridal set/ birthday present. The quality and sparkle is beyond words. The price is also hard to believe for the value ! I ordered during the valentines sale on 2/14 and got my order today. There were some delays due to the major blizzard we got in New England. Everyone I reached out to was kind and patient with my repeated “when is it coming “. They were kind enough to upgrade my shipping to help this arrive before my birthday. It made it in time. I wish I could post a picture or video of the sparkle here. Thank you art of jewels!!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear how much you love your upgraded bridal set. We also really appreciate your patience during the shipping delays caused by the New England blizzard. Our team always does their best to keep customers informed and taken care of, so we’re very glad we could help get your order to you in time for your birthday.
