About this business
Our mission is to create highly-effective, natural cosmetics that preserve the values and traditions of the Red Yao Women.For over 2,000 years, the Red Yao tribe has lived isolated, high upon the rice-terraced mountains of Longsheng. They developed a distinct culture centered around rice cultivation and hair care. By using the nutrient-rich, Longsheng rice and rituals passed down mother-to-daughter for centuries, the Red Yao women have developed a completely natural method to achieve long, strong, healthy hair that doesn’t grey with age. With only 300 tribe members remaining, we feel it our responsibility to share their story with the world. We work directly with the Red Yao villagers to source their rice, at a premium, to add into our shampoos and hair care products. We use the same Red Yao techniques and rituals, developed over centuries, to hand-make and craft our cosmetics. Due to economic pressures, the Red Yao traditions are vulnerable to extinction within a generation. Love love love Viori! I’ve been using it for 3 years now and it has helped my hair so much! I have textured frizzy hair and it completely takes away my frizz. I will say, you have to find the right bar for your hair type but once you get that down it is absolutely amazing! I recommend Viori to all my friends and family! The best!

My experience with viori has been nothing short of exceptional. I’m so impressed with not only the product but the values and kindness in the company itself. I’m a hairstylist of 7+ years and I’ve been using viori for over a year now and I’ve used every professional and non professional shampoo and conditioner under the sun and nothing even comes close to the way viori has made my hair feel. So much growth and so much shine. And don’t even get me started on the body lotion bars. I won’t use anything else. And with all the products on the market with chemicals most of us can’t even pronounce it’s so important for me to keep supporting these small business with all natural ingredients for the health of myself and for all. I’ve used Viori for years on me and all of my kids! I get asked what I use all the time! I don’t understand the bad comments about subscriptions because it’s super upfront and easy? You either click subscription or one time. Not hard at all!

I have used Viori for years and I really like their products! I’ve done the subscription and just one time purchases. Very easy to navigate the subscriptions and they send you email reminders before your next subscription shipment so that you can determine if you still need it or want to hold off for a bit longer. The dry shampoo is my favorite! I love that it’s not a spray can and it blends better into my dark hair!
Worth the switch
Switching to bars was a little bit of an adjustment but now it’s second nature and I honestly prefer it! Love the way my hair feels now. Ordering was super easy, felt like the options were pretty clear, so it’s confusing to me when other people are saying they didn’t know they subscribed.

Absolutely love Viori products! My hair was falling out so bad a couple years ago and nothing helped till I started using Viori and it save my hair! Will never use anything other then Viori!
Worked great on my hair
I tried the sample shampoo bar. The order arrived fast. The shampoo bar made my hair so soft, shiny and smell nice. I also noticed my hair stayed clean for a couple days which normally my hair gets greasy, not with this product.

I love the shampoo & conditioner bars
First I want 2 say I love the way the citrus zest clarifying shampoo & conditioner bars clean my hair & leave it so soft. The conditioner bar doesn't smell anything like the shampoo bar. The shampoo bar smells absolutely amazing & I would like 2 think that the conditioner bar would smell @ least half as good as the shampoo bar but it doesn't smell anything like it even with them being a set. I didn't receive my body butter bar with my shampoo & conditioner bars so I sent Viori an email( I thought I had ordered a body wash bar but I couldn't order a body wash bar bc they wanted me 2 sign up 4 a subscription which I find really messed up & they told me they were sold out of the body wash bars) So if your ordering a body wash bar, I would make sure they have them in stock bc there was nothing on there website about being sold out on their website when I placed my order. So with this being said I have reservations about ordering from them again. I hate this bc I really like the shampoo & conditioner bars but I didn't get 2 try a body wash bar bc I wasn't willing 2 sign up 4 a subscription with them. I really don't like doing business with a company like this & with what they said about their body wash bar it's highly suspicious. And they didn't give me any time limit on when I would receive my body wash bar. I'm not willing 2 pay 4 something & have 2 wait god knows how long 2 get it. So please b careful when placing an order. I gave 3 stars bc of the body wash bar incident but I would definitely give the shampoo(5 stars) & the conditioner bars,(4 stars) If the conditioner bar smelled like the shampoo bar I would give it 5 stars.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback! We appreciate hearing your experience so we can find ways to improve. To answer your concern about the scent, the reason why the scents differ is because the shampoo & conditioner are made up of different ingredients. The conditioner contains much more shea and cocoa butter compared to the shampoo so the natural ingredients in the bar affect the overall scent. We apologize for this, but because of the vast difference, it just happens naturally. They will still be just as effective. To address the body wash, we use a third party manufacturer for our body wash and they dropped the ball on our Fall inventory order so we were out of stock, but we recommended to customers interested in the body wash to sign up for a subscription if you wanted it auto-shipped to you in the future when it restocked, otherwise there was no other way to place an order since the 'one-time' purchase was unavailable. We completely understand why that felt like a weird way to purchase, but it was just the situation we were in because of our supplier. That is currently not the case anymore. We have a full inventory now.
