SHAMEFUL 7-MONTH DELAY: 97-year-old’s DNA sample stuck in "backlog"
I am extremely disappointed and concerned with Dante Genomics. My order # EU34612W (Kit ID # 56102411138056) was submitted on June 20, 2025. It has been over 7 months, and I still have no results.
The most heart-wrenching part is that this DNA sample belongs to a person who is 96 years and 11 months old. We have repeatedly informed Dante Labs about the urgency due to the subject’s age, yet we only receive generic "operational backlog" templates. Every week of delay is a week we don't have.
To make matters worse, the order has now completely DISAPPEARED from my online portal. It says "no orders found," which is terrifying when you are dealing with irreplaceable genetic material.
This is not just a delay; it is a total failure of service and a lack of basic human empathy for a 97-year-old customer. I demand an immediate escalation to the Lab Director and a firm date for the sequencing completion.

High-quality WGS data with transparent and competent support
I would like to share my personal experience with Dante Labs regarding a WGS 30X test.
I purchased the kit on June 16, 2025. Before sending the sample, I contacted customer support to clarify several technical aspects that were important to me, including the analysis pipeline, expected data quality, reference genome, real coverage, and possible additional support (such as phasing). I was contacted the same day and had a direct phone call with a member of the team. From the very beginning, communication was clear, transparent, and technically competent, with realistic explanations and no overpromising.
The sample was shipped to the laboratory on June 20, 2025. At the time of purchase, the website indicated a turnaround time of 6–8 weeks. The process eventually took longer than expected, which is something worth being aware of. That said, when I contacted the team for updates, the communication remained honest and transparent, with clear explanations about the reasons for the delay.
After approximately 7 months, I received my data. Given that I had read some reviews mentioning obsolete data or possible sample mix-ups, I carefully verified the results. In my case, none of these issues occurred.
The delivered files (paired FASTQs, BAM, and VCF) were complete and correctly aligned to hs37d5 (hg19). After directly analyzing the data, I verified that the actual sequencing depth exceeded the contractual specification: instead of 30X, the dataset showed approximately ~46X mapped coverage (and ~50X raw), which is significantly higher than expected.
I also verified biological consistency with my Y-DNA and autosomal profile from previous tests and successfully merged the data with the Harvard AADR panel, achieving ~99.93% SNP coverage, further confirming the quality and reliability of the dataset for downstream analyses.
In summary, despite a longer-than-expected turnaround time, I appreciated the customer support, transparency, honesty, and final data quality. Considering the technical quality of the results and how the situation was handled, my overall experience with Dante Labs was very positive, and I would recommend the service to users who prioritize data quality and technical rigor.

Ordered and delivered my probe in March 2023. Since then no response.
HI, i have ordered a test, sent it and you guys reiceved it almost 3 years ago. I have paid the money in full and no response to the request. No results has been delivered. I basically got scammed... now the company is not even replying to emails anymore.
PS: AT 25.02.2026 I HAVE REICEVED THE RESULTS. It's been a long waiting and i thought i would never see this day come through. I will continue to update on the reiceval of the reports. Try to contact them and push them to deliver. However the level of information is amazing. I will take them to my genetician and discuss them further. Now for Dante Labs and Andrea Riposati, please try to communicate with the clients. Most of us are having issues and battles that we keep for years in the medical domains. Thanks in advance!

Scam, sequencing never completed
I sent my DNA sample to Dante Labs with the kit they provided, but 7 months later my WGS has still not been completed. Despite multiple exchanges with support, they are unable to deliver.
Hence, I have asked for a refund, plus a compensation for non-material damage. I also requested written confirmation of my sample's exact location, processing logs, and destruction protocol post-analysis. But I haven't received any reply on any of these points.
I guess I'm going to have to procede with formal complaint with authorities and legal action.

Cancellation Request - Order #EU35914W - Do NOT Ship
I placed order #EU35914W on Dec 23rd. Shortly after, on Dec 25th, I sent multiple emails to customer support explicitly requesting the IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION and full refund of my order (€259.00).
I cannot receive this kit in Brazil due to complex customs regulations and high import taxes.
Please do NOT ship this kit.
Since I requested the cancellation well before the shipping process started, I expect a prompt confirmation and a full refund to my original payment method.

Ordered Whole Genome Sequencing in February 2024 (Kit ID: HAH1312).
Sample received and confirmed by Dante Labs in April 2024.
As of December 2025 – still no results, no updates, no replies to dozens of emails.
This is now 22 months of waiting.
I see that Dante Labs only replies to 1-star Trustpilot reviews, so I am leaving this one in hope of finally getting an update or refund.

I was scammed by Dante Labs (I'm in Europe).
I paid around 350$ for their whole genome sequencing in 2023, and never received any results.
The account I registered on their website doesn't seem to work anymore because they're constantly modifying their website (I guess to scam people better).
When I received my kit in 2023 there were no instructions on how to proceed and I had to write around 10 emails to understand.
I had to pay expedition costs to Italy (around 15 euros) and was never refunded for that.
They stopped replying to e-mails around May 2024.
I was hearing that the company was shut down in Italy for bankruptcy at a certain point, but magically it seems to be back again.
This company is a total SCAM, choose others.

I did the test 5 years ago, and at the time i had some reports on the genome. Now they dissapeared , there is no way to recover them and their web site is a total mesh,
i am sceptical of whether they actually do any genome analysis , or its a total scam, and i dont see any regulatory authority validating their methods or what they actually do
