We bought a kit 1.12.2024, it was delivered 30th December, and we posted the sample back in January. The status of the kit was at some point "waiting for quality control", a year later it is was back to "registered".
I have contacted customer service by email two or three times. They don't reply. [Later I found a new address where they do reply. They have 3-4 different support email addresses, some are dead and some not.]
My friend bought a kit as a gift for his son. They have been waiting a year as well, and likewise, the company does not respond to emails. (The kit status was downgraded for them as well, I think.)
It may be some people actually get results from Dante, and I got as well about five years ago. But there seems to be a high probability that you at least wait over a year.
Update: I have contacted them 29.11.2025 and now today 14.2.2026, still waiting for results. I'm soon running out of time for refund through the credit card company, so have to act. I'll let you know how things proceed.
Update 2: They reply, “Our objective is to complete all pending samples by April." My problem is that I have an absolute deadline with Visa around 23 May 2026, 540 days from the purchase. The kit status was updated to "received" though.
Update 3, 10.4.2026: I reclaimed through my credit card company, but they said I used debit not credit, so no money back. (A lesson: use a credit card with suspcious companies.) But we got the results a few days ago! There's some sort of coupon for analysis reports included (got it to my email), but we don't know yet whether that's a discount or a free report, because the web site hangs after pressing the "Premium and AI" button or whatever it was. I hope we can at least download the VCF and raw data.

Total scam. I paid my money for a full DNA sequencing, received and sent back my sample, and then...nothing. I've emailed multiple times over a period of 2 years now, and no response. I even tracked down the CEO's name (Andrea Riposati) and email and he responded with a promise to look into it, then...no response. I've given up chasing, but it's terrible that companies like this get to rip people off and face no consequences.

Its been over two years and I never got my results. I emailed a couple times and they said they were still processing but when I finally asked for my money back, no response. I also can no longer sign into my account- it seems they've gotten rid of it. This is a complete scam.

I would them no stars if I could. I ordered a kit, sent in my sample and then never heard from them again. That was a year and a half ago now. They don’t respond to emails or any attempts to communicate through their website.

Without necessary medications, there is an expiration date on my life in a matter of months. Meanwhile, I have been writing a book about the rare medical disorder affecting my family. I needed the DNA tests I ordered for myself and my mom to be processed in the time promised, because there is a short clock on my life. We also needed the dry blood tests, because our condition means we can't produce saliva. I interacted with someone at Dante who promised to send the dry blood kits in September. We still don't have those kits, and based on reading the other customer reviews, I now realize that Dante Labs took $1500 from me just as money is the reason I will die. I want to thank the company deeply for stealing from me.

I received my DNA kit a few weeks after ordering it. However, when I tried to register it online, I get an error message that says "An Unexpected Error Has Occured". I have tried about a dozen times. I have emailed the company multiple times about the issue and I get no response. There is no customer service phone number listed. I spent $500 for DNA sequencing and now I fell like I have gotten scammed.

The portal does not allow to register your kit, no customer service to help fix
I received the kit and have to register it in the portal before sending it back. Registering the kit is an impossible task due to an 'unexpected error' that occurs whenever I click 'submit' to register the kit.
It's been three months and 10+ contact forms and emails about this problem, and I have yet to receive a single response. They just take the money and ghost you.

I ordered the kit end of 2024 during their sale, received a week later and sent it back January 2025. On their website they advertise 8 weeks processing time, but until now, almost 1 year later, I have no results. The kit status was showing "awaiting quality control" for many months and now the kit has disappeared completely from the platform. Email inquiries remain unanswered.
As in many other comments here, they basically stole money. Complete scam, if you want to get WGS, look for another provider and pay a little more, avoid this company.

SCAM SCAM SCAM! With a colleague we bought a 200-300 euros test each, we never got any results. They don't answer emails, there isnt a phone published. It's a huge scam. Feels Like a Scam!
I paid nearly €400 for what Dante Labs advertised as an “advanced DNA test” plus all panel tests.
Instead of receiving the promised insights, I’m now blocked from accessing any of my results. Every attempt leads to HTTP ERROR 401. (explora.dantelabs.com)
The worst part? They don’t even provide instructions to reset or change your password via email. There is no proper customer support, no guidance, nothing. I literally paid hundreds of euros for a product I can’t use.
This feels blatantly misleading and borderline fraudulent. Dante Labs markets itself as a cutting-edge DNA service, but in reality, it’s a frustrating and expensive trap. I strongly warn anyone considering them – you risk wasting your money and getting nothing in return.

I ordered 3 kits during the 2024 Black Friday sale, and sent them in for sequencing as soon as they arrived (a few weeks later). As of today (Sept 30th 2025), almost a year later, the samples are still just marked as "received".
Also, no response to repeated inquiries. That means the 600 euros I spent are likely just gone. It might be cheap, but they basically steal your money it seems. I won't hold my breath for any data to come out of this...

Scam ! I have paid for 2 genome kits 2023 and they received the samples the same year (as confirmed on their platform). Whereas 1 kit has been sequenced and the results delivered I am still waiting (over 2 years later) for the result of the second kit. I have contacted them multiple times, no response. I have tried again today and will commence legal action for refund after the 2 weeks deadline I have given them passed. Not expecting a reply obviously. Stay away ! Unless you want to lose your money and never receive any communication or refund. With logistics like these and customer service nonexistent I would not put a lot of faith in the results you receive either...who knows which sample they belong to in the end. Highly unprofessional and a scam...
