am extremely disappointed with my experience. I spent over $600 on a tap floor from Great Mats. When it arrived, we assembled it according to the instructions and tested it with both instructors and students. The floor was so slippery that multiple people felt unsafe tapping on it. As a dance studio owner, safety is my top priority, and this product simply did not perform as expected. I immediately contacted the company to request a return. That's when I learned that because we had interlocked the tiles and tested the floor, the product was no longer eligible for return. In other words, the only way to discover whether the floor is safe and suitable for its intended purpose is to do the very thing that voids your ability to return it. The explanation given was that assembling and disassembling the tiles could damage the corners. That raises a serious question: if the corners can be damaged after a single assembly and disassembly, how durable is the product really? The most frustrating part is being stuck with an expensive product that cannot be safely used for its intended purpose and cannot be returned once tested. Buyers should read the return policy very carefully before purchasing, because you may have no practical way to evaluate the product and still qualify for a refund. I would not purchase from this company again.
We are sorry to hear of the disappointment associated with this purchase. The return policy and Greatmats terms and conditions were agreed upon at the time the customer placed the order on our website. We also have a disclaimer on the product page stating that when the kits are brand new, the floor may feel slippery. This improves over time as the floor is used more. While we did explain that at times, the interlocking tabs and loops can be damaged during installation, this is not related to product durability but was used as an example as to what we have seen in the past when orders are returned after customers improperly installed the material.
My initial correspondence with this team was great. The product came promptly, and it was in great shape and was easy to put together.
I ordered matting for dog training in my basement. Beth helped me with picking the right product and figured out how much I would need based on the measurements and extra for trimming. She also recommended the smaller tiles to avoid freight charges. The mats arrived quickly and are very easy to install. My pup couldn't wait to do zoomies and I was pleased to see the excellent traction of the mats while she did so. Excellent product and service!

This was my first time ordering mats for our cheer team and Greatmats came recommended by another high school with a glowing review. Unfortunately we had an issue with delivery to the wrong address and damage to the mats. It was a process and did take awhile but after working with Mandy over several weeks we were able to come to a solution that worked out well. I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 star simply based on the delivery and damage issue, the mats themselves are great and of good quality and I would recommend Greatmats (we actually ordered a 3rd mat), just be super aware of where your delivery is going and check for damage immediately.

I have received my mats and the edging. The material looks well constructed and the dimensions are as advertised. I have not put them in place yet because I’m waiting for my renovations to be completed. The products came in two boxes. The FedEx ticket indicated as such but only one box was delivered on the day expected. It took FedEx s couple of days to deliver the second box. I contacted FedEx about the missing box but they never acknowledged me. The package luckily showed up so I am happy! Ordering the product on your website was easy and the videos showed me exactly what edging I needed.
