Home Depot
This is always my family's and my go-to spot to buy Christmas trees. The employees always offer great service and cut the tree to our liking.

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. A general feeling amongst customers points to substandard customer service and significant issues with delivery logistics. Many consumers recounted difficulties with interactions, such as extended hold times, being hung up on, or receiving disrespectful treatment from staff and management. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that certain employees provided exceptional assistance and knowledge, going above and beyond for the shopper's needs. Some reviewers experienced timely and efficient deliveries, or found store associates genuinely helpful with product guidance. Conversely, other individuals pointed out problems like receiving damaged appliances, instances where delivery drivers left items inappropriately, or receiving inaccurate items after ordering online.

While I feel dirty shopping at any big box store, my experience with my purchases at Home Depot have always been usually more that just satisfactory. Regardless of whether I shop in the store or online. I have had no problems returning any item for any reason. I expect most people have my experience, that is why so many people shop there. It is unfortunate that the reviews on TrustPilot are so unrepresentative of the general experience. Perhaps all of us could make a point of putting a positive review on TrustPilot when we have a good shopping experience on any site we shop at..
Absolutely terrible service , nobody care.
I purchased a GE washer and dryer in July 2025 with extended warranty. The washer is now making loud squeaking noises even when running a cycle empty. We called for repairs and had to prove the machine was needing repair. Then they scheduled the technician and ordered the parts they said we needed. The technician had to reschedule multiple times due to parts not being delivered in time for the repair. Then when both parts and technician were finally at the house he takes apart the machine completely. Parts were all over my house. He’s glaring at my special needs child the whole time. Then he checks and sees that the parts ordered were not the correct ones. He tosses the machine back together (I really don’t believe it was put back correctly based on how it was taken apart) and leaves. The only information we are given is that it’s the wrong parts and we need the right parts. We are given the understanding that a new appointment can be made when the right parts are ordered. Next thing we know there will be no repair but a replacement. One minute later another email comes that there will be no replacement because there are no same or equivalent models available. Instead they want us to accept a Home Depot gift card. I make calls and check stores and see my exact model in store less than 30 minutes away from my house able to be delivered in a week. The gift card they want me to accept is for less than the cost of getting the same model machine. They want me to take less money in the form of a gift card to their store, pay the difference to replace it myself, pay delivery and take away if the old machine and pay for any hook up and installation service and parts. This is not honoring the warranty! I’m already losing money paying to use the machines at a laundromat (clothes for four people including kids) because of how this has drug on. I called to speak with someone directly and get the back and forth between warranty support and customer service with Home Depot. I finally speak to someone with warranty support who says the technician listed the machine as being “not repairable”. What are you talking about? The machine squeaked loudly but operated until he took it apart. What did he do to my machine? The technicians report didn’t mention the wrong parts either. At this point I can only believe he destroyed my machine and they are now trying to sweep it under the rug.
Thanks for outsourcing your deliveries to the incompetent Hub Group. Still waiting on a delivery that has been constantly rescheduled. Home Depot washes its hands of it and tells you to contact them. I didn't buy my very expensive range from them, I bought it from you! Own the customer experience and re-think your arrangement the Hub Group.
I placed an order at Home Depot in Dickson City, PA 18519 with next-day delivery and paid an extra fee to get it the next day, but it wasn't delivered, and no one was there to help me
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Home Depot. On August 1, I purchased two doors specifically because the product page stated that the anticipated delivery date was between August 5 and August 6. I chose to buy from Home Depot based on that promised delivery window, as I needed the doors by then. On August 5, I even received an email confirming that my order was expected to be delivered that day. However, when I checked my order status online, the delivery date had suddenly changed to Monday, August 10. I contacted customer service, and while the representative apologized, I was told there was nothing they could do. The explanation was that the system and the email showed different delivery dates, but that doesn't solve the problem for the customer. What makes this even more frustrating is that this is the second time this has happened to me. Customers make purchasing decisions based on the delivery dates displayed at checkout. When those dates are inaccurate and are changed after the purchase, it creates unnecessary inconvenience and undermines trust. Home Depot needs to provide accurate delivery estimates instead of displaying dates that are later changed with no meaningful resolution. At that point, customers are left with only two choices: accept the delay or cancel the order. That is not the level of service I expect from a company of this size.
I ordered a Jersey Mike's gift card from Home Depot a physical one. It was lost in the mail so I never received it. I contacted Home Depot who gave me a ticket number never contacted me back so when I did they told me they couldn't issue a refund because it was a 3rd party vendor. I called it they said no they don't have that order. then home Depot gave me a # to Jimmy John's for a jersey Mike's gift card I just want my refund for the lost card and to stop being played with
I am a Veteran! While Home Depot (HD) does have a 10% discount on selected items. There is an annual limit of which this discount can be applied. To reach this limit you must of course purchase products from HD. This benefit seems disgraceful when HD always likes to promote how they support veterans. So, when a Veteran supports HD by only shopping at HD. HD stops the very benefit HD promotes after buying too much of their merchandise within a year. I also have an account with Lowes! It is a little further to drive to. But Lowes actually supports Veterans!!! Lowes offers 10% discount on selected items with NO annual limit on purchases. The customer service towards Veterans is outstanding at every store I have ever been in. Lowes even has specific parking areas just for Veterans! It is nice to have a corporation that actually supports Veterans for offering their lives to protect this country and its freedoms! Allowing corporations to thrive. Home Depot is not that corporation!!!
Was on the telephone with customer service front desk and wanted to order a corner shower unit gave him the on line skew and he proceeded to do the order for delivery . While waiting for him to get the order completed and revisiting the item I saw that there was not a foundation or base with the unit which made it useless and when he came back on the line told him, to cancel the order, the product was no good without base. He said he issued the credit right away to my AMX card. Being busy I did not notice that he did not do that until my phone lit up with a text message to notify of a delivery . I immediately put in claim with my awesome people at AMX and the amount was removed to back to pending. I called Home Depot and after 20 rings someone finally answered, told her everything and she said she had cancelled the order and the refund would be applied to my AMX . I will wait and see . It will definitely be the blue store from now on and not the orange one !
Home Depot is an awful company. They ship dead plants and refuse to give a refund. REVIEWS.io The Home Depot Reviews 1.7 Rating 1,448 Reviews POOR RATINGS 1.7 out of a possible 5 points. Would you purchase ANYTHING from Home Depot with those scores? Do yourself a favor and shop at LOWE'S! THEY FAR OUTBEAT home depot
Beware: If big-ticket items malfunction after one week, you can not return them to Home Depot. Lowe's is a much safer place to buy an appliance. We lost $600 when our brand new window ac suddenly stopped working after just over a month! It's heartbreaking, but there is nothing we can do. I feel so stupid, because my husband wanted to buy it at Lowe's, but I insisted on Home Depot, because, until now, I had always just liked them better. Live and learn. And read reviews before buying! I'm seeing now that facebook is absolutely flooded with sad stories just like ours! I just feel like I want to warn everyone!
Order a hard start kit and it never showed up and they put me on hold for almost 20 minutes trying to find my order horrible never again
Just spent 45 minutes trying to resolve a delivery issue with a high priced furniture item. The phone line hung up on me twice without connecting me to the right person. 30 minutes later, after I called for the third time, I finally go to a condesending "resolution specialist" who said delievery companies have no obligation to call to arrange for a specific delivery time. She gave me inaccurate information -- essentially everything to ensure that Home Depot had was not at fault for non-delivery of an item. All they had to do is leave a 300 lb item on my curb, and that was it. I am flabbergasted at this unprofessional and anti-customer behavior.
I looked at flooring for home and placed order. Guy came out to measure then received online invoice. I called to set up install and was told flooring would be delivered to porch. I told them that would block my entry and at 82 I am to frail to. Move heavy flooring into house. They did not care and said they don’t come into house. I canceled order. They obviously don’t care about disabled or seniors
First installation was scheduled 2–5pm; crew arrived after 7pm and worked until 11pm. My child missed a paid class and I missed work the next day to clean up. They dry-cut quartz inside my kitchen using a shop vac, releasing silica dust, a serious safety violation, while my family was home. The cut wasn’t needed. Installers then shifted, tilted, and shimmed previously level cabinets, creating gaps, slopes, exposed shims, misaligned appliances, and self-swinging doors. The sink base and dishwasher area are especially bad; multiple cabinets now tilt 1/4" over 2 ft, with a 3/4" gap at one cabinet. The second crew sent to correct the first installation's issues did not disassemble the countertop as KBR's inspector said was required. After several unsuccessful "band-aid" repairs, they agreed it needed to come apart, retrieved the necessary tools, then called KBR and were instructed not to disassemble it. Instead, they continued with temporary fixes, prying, sawing my wall, and shimming, creating additional damage (photos attached). They left old caulk, caulked over damaged areas, and the new caulk is already cracking and flaking. They cracked a backsplash tile, concealed it with caulk, misaligned the backsplash joints, left a loose shim, skewed the oven opening by cutting the wall, and left gaps and holes in the caulking. They knowingly failed to perform the proper repair. KBR and Home Depot still refuse to correct the issue.
Vancouver Home Depot employees are completely inadequate. They obviously have no experience in customer service. I was put on hold for 7:05 minutes before anyone answered the call and then I was hung up on. The only person worth a darn is Heaven who works in the garden department. If she were a trainer, you would have a much better representative for your store!!!
Home Depot has a massive selection and the staff is usually very knowledgeable and helpful when you need advice. The issue is that many advertised promotions and sales items are frequently out of stock. It's frustrating to plan a trip based on a deal only to find the shelves empty.
I’d give zero stars if I could. I have spent a total of 15 hours on 2 separate days waiting for my dryer. I have been lied to multiple times when calling the provided number and strung along literally from 7:30 am to 4:49 pm. Two times people swore they were speaking with the warehouse and assured me that it was coming. Both times they later said it wasnt on the truck. Both times I’ve received emails and texts saying they were on the way. I am tired and now, at 5:00 pm have to go to the laundromat to do laundry. I’m so unbelievably angry
Bought an item online for delivery "next day". Item was showing in stock. Nothing arrived for 2 days. Called, waited for an hour. Item "out of stock..." delivery will be in 1 week. I go online and item is in stock. I drive myself for 1 hour to pick it up and store said "we never got the order as back office cancelled it". This must be one the worst run businesses
