What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently reported serious issues with unhelpful customer support teams, rude staff members, and extreme difficulties when trying to reach a real person for assistance. Shoppers also mentioned frequently receiving damaged or defective items, missing components in home orders, and serious problems with delayed or incorrect shipments. The minority of people were satisfied with the helpful staff, finding store employees polite and always ready to assist customers during busy shopping trips. Some reviewers were happy with surprisingly smooth online pickup orders and fair, highly competitive prices on various everyday products.

What people say

Always find what i need

I know a lot of people complain about online orders but i always shop in store and my experience is usually great. The store on State Street is always clean and well stocked. The staff is friendly even when it gets super busy on weekends. Plus their home decor section is dangerously good. Never had an issue with returns either

Formaldehyde and sodium benzate for dinner anyone

Every time I get something from Target or Walmart it smells so strongly of perfume and Amazon also but this review is for Target because I soaked my clothes in white vinegar for so long that are from Target and they still smell like perfume and they have to be in the sun in the fresh air for days and days and days and the smell is still on the clothing just not as strong but the whole point is......... They are spraying formaldehyde on all of the clothing and items and I wonder if it's getting on the produce this is not normal they do not need to be spraying things on the clothing to prevent mold for hundreds of years nobody sprayed formaldehyde on the clothing and they shouldn't be doing it now which reminds me that they're putting sodium benzoate inside of all the sodas when there's no reason to because if they have a real sugar option of Pepsi that has furic acid in it and not sodium benzoate that means they don't have to put that poison in the soda to prevent mold it seems that every single time they have the excuse of to prevent mold to prevent mold yeah right it's just some creepy psycho somewhere getting away with let's put poison in the soda and say it prevents mold let's put formaldehyde on the clothing and say it prevents mold when in reality the real sugar Pepsi has furic acid and with real sugar and the sealed tight aluminum can it prevents mold on its own so why don't they make all the sodas like that oh I know because the government is cheap cheap and doesn't care about our health like they do in other countries get it together America I'm not celebrating July 4th with poison I do it my own way......

No more online website orders

No more online website orders. Last two times I tried to place a pickup, kept getting 'something went wrong, we cannot complete this. Try again later' Ohhh kay... so basically Target is turning another Channel, constantly declining which is unfortunate, as we were fond of shopping there. First Bed Bath, then Kohl's, and now Target. Guess online ordering has become too much for a company constantly downward shifting to skill and crew stores. Got it.

This Target is by far the worst

This Target is by far the worst. Most Targets are pretty nice and decent with the exception of Target NW (on Tenaya in Las Vegas). Many of the employees are very nice, but unfortunately- they have a very smug and arrogant manager named Nick. Currently there is a big Needoh craze. People will lineup around the outside of the store before the store opens in hopes to get a Needoh or a Squeeezy (silly squishy toys/ stress balls). This Target is the only Target in town- that when they have over 50 people waiting will still let each person get four. When they have a big crowed lined up waiting why not do what the other Targets do, and limited to one squishy per person so that each person could possibly get one. Watching only a few people walk away with bags of the limited squishies, while leaving the rest of everyone else not getting anything is poor management. This has happened multiple times at this Target. Even the employees were shocked when Nick told them 4 squishies per person- with the employees mentioning how large the crowd is and why not limiting it to one so that everyone could have a better chance at purchasing one. The front line employees are the ones that have to deal with all the upset guest. I have spoken to Nick about this. The only thing Nick could say to me, is that he is above any manager and not to call him that - and that he is the store Director and what he says goes. He doesn’t care what other stores are doing, that this is his store and he will run it the way he sees fit. That he likes consistency of 4 squishies per person. In my opinion, this store director Nick lacks basic common sense and good judgment. I hope he gets the training he needs so that his larger than life arrogance can be justified.

Will be shopping elsewhere

Purchased an air conditioner to prepare for the impending heat wave. Also purchased their membership to get fast free delivery. Delivery was postponed three times and then said it was no longer available (sold out while they tried to find a delivery driver). They put a hold on my money (purchase price plus an extra $50) but not on the item I purchased. I now have to wait 3-7 days for the hold to expire before I'm able to purchase an a/c unit somewhere else, and, of course there is no refund for the membership purchased. A frustrating waste of time and money.

Caution about buying from Target partners

On my very first order online using Target to order some kitchen floor mats, it turned into a nightmare. The order was placed with a 'Target partner', a company called Style Innovations. I received my order and only removed one of the small rugs from the package and knew it wasn't going to work. I put it back into the packaging it arrived in and brought it to my closest Target as I was told to do through the instructions given to me on Target's website. I had a difficult time finding the order in my online account. After trying multiple options, i finally found the confirmation page of my order with the Target partner, Style Innovations. Instructions were clear, bring it to my Target and return it. Simple as that. However, after waiting 10 minutes in the return line at Target, the man took everything, all three rugs, out of the plastic package and couldn't find a bar code to scan. Then both he and I searched my Target account on my iPhone and couldn't find it. He told me to go home, find it again, print it out and return with the printout with the code on it. So I came back home, searched through the maze on the Target website once again, since that purchase was not listed on my recent Target purchases, and I printed it out. I have yet to go back to Target because I've absolutely had it for the day. I'll return it tomorrow. Let this be a warning to anyone buying something on the Target website that's being sold through a Target partner. If you have to return it, it will be sheer hell to get accomplished.

I bought a few things Sunday

I bought a few things Sunday, June 28 around 8:30pm. I got some cute key chain charms that had a yellow tag (30%) off. They rang up the original price, so I kindly asked the cashier about it. Ivan the cashier rolled his eyes and started shaking his head no and kind of being aggressive and rude about it. He also didn’t speak to me my entire cashing out experience. I’m not a person to complain about things because I have worked in customer service before, but that was insane to me. I have never had a bad experience here but today was completely different.

I ordered an air fryer few days ago

I ordered an air fryer few days ago. When I received it the packaging was torn and it didn’t work when I plugged it in. I contacted target to send someone to replace it but they asked me to bring it to the store although I had paid 10$ for delivery. I don’t drive and hence had to book a taxi to get there and return it and process the refund. Highly disappointed with their customer service.

Where do I start

Where do I start? Spend some of that $3.6 billion in revenue from 2025 to monitor your orders once they're shipped? Oh wait, you already do that, you just do monitor tracking information for "delivered" status for reviews - instead of making sure something was delivered correctly, huh? But your representative and your company's stance on doing that is, "it's gonna cost too much, we do it for the discounts we offer"(again, $3.6 BILLION). Or how about: take some responsibility for operational errors with the vendors you choose to use? Or maybe even: not take 2 weeks for vendors to reach back out when contacted with notice of an error? Ridiculous company policy that's clearly in place so you not only don't have to pay to provide good service, but so you can stuff your pockets with the cash people give you for services you DON'T DELIVER ON???

I WAS KICKED OUT OF TARGET/STARBUCKS 9…

I WAS KICKED OUT OF TARGET/STARBUCKS 9 MONTHS AGO… BECAUSE I HAVE A SERVICE DOG!!! I am not kidding. I walked into target to get to the Starbucks. I bought a large sweet tea and asked if I could sit at the table because it was only one table in the entire café and it was empty luckily for me so we could sit down. The cashier said “Sure”. So we went to the table on my Service dog lay next to my left foot in her command position the entire hour that we were sitting there while I was working on my iPad. Then the same cashier came over to me and said….”Ma’am you have to leave because you have a service dog.” I looked at him and asked him who told him that. He kind of slightly shrugged his shoulders and said “Management”. I gathered my things and ask the other girl behind the counter if I had to leave because I have a Service talk and she said “Yes”. I asked the same question she said “Management”. I said.- Who is Management and where are they? Are they? In that office behind you, somewhere around here? I need to talk to them. They didn’t know who their manager was. No joke! But the girl did say something about her paystub having Target on it. So I remember now Starbucks was incorporated in with Target with Target being over Starbucks. I went to the service desk in Target and asked for the manager. He came around and said how can I help you. I told him what happened. He looked at me confused. I said you do know it’s illegal for you to kick me out of your store because I have a service dog, don’t you? He didn’t say anything. *Now I’m going to start to sum everything up because the story is so long it would be too much to explain.* I told the manager he needs to educate his employees about the laws and regulations about service dogs and when I walk out that door, Target will be breaking the law. I have never seen anything like this, but he just stood there and didn’t say anything. He looked like he just looked shocked. He just stood there with a dumbfounded look on his face as I walked out the door watching and stood there with the door open for a few seconds just to give him another chance, but it didn’t happen. They called me and asked me what happened for their report to submit to the corporation. I told him what happened. Another Manager about the same thing told him what happened after that. I have basically heard nothing from anybody. I HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY IGNORED BY TARGET AND STARBUCKS SINCE THIS HAPPENED ON SEPTEMBER 28, 2025 AT 4PMPM. I still don’t know why this happened. Seriously, I still do not know why I was kicked out of that store? If you call Customer Service, you’re gonna be put through the middleman who is going to just submit it wherever it needs to go which will then go into the can. I’m always looking for a phone number where I can talk to somebody. A couple of weeks ago I did find a number where I was able to talk to someone other than Customer Service and the rude lady told me that they sent me an email that my case was closed in November. On the phone I checked my email and I did not get anything in November. Rudely she sent me another one and sarcastically said-Did you get it this time? I told her yes but nobody contacted me to let me know about this. Why didn’t anybody contact me and let me know and she said that they did through the email which I told her again and they didn’t. I asked her why I was kicked out of Target and I want to talk to somebody about it. She told me something like she couldn’t do that. I asked her why I couldn’t talk to anybody about this and she said because my case was closed, she can’t say anything or direct me to anybody. Then she hung up on me. I expected that to happen because that’s happened every single time that I’ve contacted anybody from Target. at the end of November 2025 I got a phone call from Target store this all happened in. He said his name was Austin and he was the new DM. He was calling me to ask what happened and what I wanted what it was that I wanted from Target. I told him he’s the new DM for that store so he already knows what happened. Him and I went round and round on the phone with each other with nothing coming out of it other than him getting mean, sarcastic, and pissed off and hangs up on me. I’m used to that. Everybody from Target hangs up on you. I called back and asked to talk to him. Long story short about that - I was blocked from calling that store. I hit redial constantly for 30 minutes. It was the same thing. You know, it’s been 9 months of me doing constant research about all of this, but I’m also learning other things. ❌❌❌ Target tracks you everywhere you go in their store through your cell phone including the bathroom stall your in! Turn your cell phone while in Target!!! ❌❌❌ Do research on it. Its easy to find. Look in Targets policy book. They have a slick way of recognizing it in a short paragraph for their own legal reasons. Target stalks you! Why is that store even open?
