What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently reported serious issues with unhelpful customer support teams, rude staff members, and extreme difficulties when trying to reach a real person for assistance. Shoppers also mentioned frequently receiving damaged or defective items, missing components in home orders, and serious problems with delayed or incorrect shipments. The minority of people were satisfied with the helpful staff, finding store employees polite and always ready to assist customers during busy shopping trips. Some reviewers were happy with surprisingly smooth online pickup orders and fair, highly competitive prices on various everyday products.

So annoyed

So annoyed. Online it said they had the big duck squeeze toys in stock. It said there were like five left of the yellow ones, three left of the green ones, and also the pink and blue ones. So I literally ordered every color for delivery because it said every color was in stock. But my shopper then texted me and said that my order had to be canceled because they hadn’t none in stock and the shelf was completely empty. She even asked if they had any in the back or if they were misplaced and looked around… But nothing… Why did they say they are in stock if they are not. And it wasn’t just like one of them. It was all of them. And this isn’t the first time something like this has happened with Target… Every time I have an order from there half of my order ends up being out of stock even though it said online it was available and in stock.

I purchased the SMOL Mini House Kids…

I purchased the SMOL Mini House Kids Bounce & Play House at the Target store in Rohnert Park, California. My grandchildren absolutely loved it and had a wonderful time playing with it. However, I was disappointed to discover that the box had been taped closed when I purchased it, and it appeared that the bounce house had been previously opened and used. The playhouse was slightly dirty, and the repair kit that was advertised on the outside of the box was missing. While the product itself was a big hit with my grandchildren, I was disappointed that what was supposed to be a new item appeared to have been returned and then resold without ensuring that all components were included and that the product was in new condition. I considered returning it, but after setting it up and seeing how much the children enjoyed it, I did not want to go through the hassle of repacking and transporting it back to the store. I hope Target will be more careful in inspecting returned merchandise before placing it back on the sales floor

Horrible customer service

If I could give a -, I would give a -10. The customer service is absolutely horrible. I bought a bike hitch rack. Unfortunately, it was the wrong size for my SUV. I received it on May 2 and I tried to return it on June 2, within 30 days. I called and they told me to go to the store. Then they said that it was a third party vendor. I rushed to the store and the guy asked me for the cc that i paid with. Unfortunatelly, I didnt have it with me. I rushed home to get it. When I got there there was anothe guy, very rude and he told me that there was nothing he could do. He was the manager and he could not refund anythig, even though, the previous guy was going to do it. Today, I called to try to speak with a supevisor. Refused to do it. I was on the phone for over an hour transfering me with the third party. They hung up once and I had to start all over again. At the end, they refused to help me. The woman told me to contact the vendor. I tries but its through target. TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. I will stay away from TARGET. Never again

Go Straight to Culligan if You Want Zero Water Supplies!

Target has been carrying Zero Water pitchers and replacement filters for all the years I've been using them, which is a lot of years. My Target app told me they had 5 boxes of replacement filters in store, so I headed there today and discovered they lied! Neither Zero Pitchers or replacement filters are carried on premises any more. A salesperson suggested I order them online, and I said, "I sure will! But I made a trip here for nothing so I won't be ordering from Target; I'll go straight to Culligan." I did, and ended up paying half what I would've paid buying them at Target.

Target is the worst.

Target is the worst. I still have two items that are supposed to be delivered, and I deleted my online account before receiving them—assuming I ever receive them at all. At this point, I honestly don't care anymore. Dealing with Target has been nothing but a headache. Did you know that no matter how many times you report FedEx for throwing your packages around and destroying your items, Target still doesn't seem to care? FedEx had one of my packages for seven days, even though it was supposed to be delivered days earlier. I reported the issue to Target, and their response was basically, "Just wait another 24 hours." Really? On a Saturday? What a joke. Then, out of nowhere, FedEx sent an email saying my order would be delivered the next day. When that day arrived, Target messaged me and said: "The carrier let us know some of your items were damaged. We're already processing your replacement items." Do you know what that means? It means that if Target forgets to include all of the damaged items in the replacement order, you don't get the missing item—you just get a refund. Then you have to contact customer service separately for every item that wasn't replaced. That's exactly what happened to me. I'm still waiting for items that FedEx is holding, and Target won't tell them to deliver them, even though they have the power to address the issue. And that's not all. I ordered 10 bottles of vegetable gravy, and every single one was expired. The expiration dates ranged from October 2025 to March 2026. I reordered, and all 20 bottles I ended up receiving were expired. Yes, all 20. I got a refund, but that doesn't solve the underlying problem. I could go on and on about my experiences. I would not recommend Target to anyone—not even an enemy. Refunds don't fix anything when the same problems keep happening over and over again.

They need to tell the pick up employees…

They need to tell the pick up employees at Target in Gaithersburg Maryland..that just because an online order says pick up in 2 hours doesn’t necessarily means they should sit down and wait for exactly two hours before notifying the customer. On so many occasions I have placed an online order and went in to the store after an hour or so and saw the pickup employee sitting and waiting for exactly 2 hours before scanning the items. When ask they said the online system said two hours so they have to wait for two hours. Even when I go get the item from the shelf and hand it over to them to scanned they refuse. I have worked at sears pick up before. When we received a customer online order we immediately go one the sales floor and scan the item even though it says get it within an hour..The customer received an email and start coming to pick up. They should put them on a 30 minute timer if they don’t scan the order within 30 minutes the manager on. Duty will receive an notification to check up on that employee or help them find it faster.

Ordered product on May 23

Ordered product on May 23. Scheduled for delivery May 30. Did not arrive. No tracking updates on Target or Fedx. Called customer service and was told to call back in 4 days. After another call to customer service, still no updates. Then email stating date and time of delivery. Never came. June 3 was given a case number and offered a refund. I said I would call back on the 4th to accept refund if still not delivered. Called back was told they would not honor refund. I would have to wait another 4days. Even though supervisor could see that I was offered the refund. Still waiting on item. It's been 12 days since order. I will never order from Target again. I

How dare they?

I bought an item online at Target. They charged a 25% (cost of the item) holding fee to my credit card until the payment cleared. Frankly, how dare they? Especially in these economic times. That could have put somebody over their limit and resulted in an overdraft fee, which last time I checked was $35. I called Target and they basically told me get over it, that's how we do business. I mentioned a possible overdraft fee could be incurred. They hung up on me. Great service, thank you very much. I'll be shopping somewhere else from now on.

God bless you guys

God bless you guys, I didn’t have the greatest experience, I got kicked out earlier today for throwing 1 football once, I was angry at myself and the employee, but then the employee came out and told me to have a good day. His name was Matt from Sioux Falls, I appreciate him sticking up for store policy and I understand that he probably had a bad day, thank you god bless
