I Took my German Shepard for a full groom 2 weeks ago and the groomer was Jess I've never seen her before she took less than 30 minutes to do my dog. When I collected him it looks like she had never bathed him or brushed him. When I collect him she didn't fit his collar correctly and the dog slipped his collar and run off, luckily I caught him. I then complained and had to get him bathed today by Debbie..what a massive difference she made to him .I will not be using Jess again. Big thank you to Debbie ted look handsome again. Please not 5 stars for Debbie. Today

I took my dog Fig to see Eleni at pets at home groom room St. George’s retail park Leicester today . The whole experience from start to finish is always a pleasure . Lovely staff throughout the store . Eleni is the most amazing talented groomer . She handles my great big giant schnauzer with such care and compassion. I’m always so happy with the results . I would recommend 100% she is very good at her job and such a lovely person .

Sent my 3 and half old puppy for a groom dog went in and came out looking exactly the same, i didnt want or expect a hair cut but a good brush!! The matted fur on his back legs wasnt even touched. i quite literally paid £60! To have nmy dog washed and have his nails cut ! They didnt even dry him claiming he was distressed absolute waste of time, also the hroomer tried to tell me my dog tried to bite her !!!!! Its a 4 month old ouppy that has never show any aggression if in deed he did tey to bite its because of how he was treated

Very disappointed in crayford groom room , after taking my dog there for 5 years , will not be going back , having witnessed them abusing my dog ,I pulled them on it andwas told to take my dog else where all because she is a noisy dog . Obviously won't take her back after witnessing them hurting my dog . Rude miserable staff who just laughed between themselves after complaining about the way they treated my dog .

I was fuming and embarrassed about today’s service I received at the groom room I have been using this service for many years now and not once have I ever had a problem until today and as I went to collect my dog I witnessed one of the groomers mistreating a dog while it was already muzzled as I went to collect my dog another colleague had told the other client to go and find somewhere else to get their dog groomed in a rude manner, and when I complained about their attitude and behaviour towards the dog they told me Im not welcomed back I do not recommend.

Sour Face Staff
I brought my dog to have his nails cut, on the website it does say just show up and they will fit you in if they have availability. I arrived to a couple of sour faces from Gabby and Catherine at the wigan store. I was at the till and they both looked at each other had a chat looked at me and then one of them decided to come out. She asked me to come back which I did and a lovely young lady with red hair tried to cut my dogs nails, he is a nightmare having his nails cut and it was his first time someone else trying she was patient and tried her best. All the time we was fighting with my dog Catherine and Gabby was giving dirty looks and chatting very obviously about the situation. I had no idea that bringing my dog to have his nails cut would be just in the store not on a table or with proper restraint. I was told to make an appointment online and come back and they would charge me £15 for two paws to be done as she managed to get the other two. I would never return to this groom room in my whole entire life of owning animals. The customer service from those two women was shocking and they didnt look like very good groomers as it was. Don't bother go to somewhere else who know how to deal with humans and animals.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service, seemed disinterested and comments were more about what they weren't going to do rather than the good job they would do with a simple wash and go. Explained that the dog would leave 'damp' so I asked if it would be towelled off, "No, it says it in the advert" was the response. Not really got any good care vibe so decided to cancel. Maybe just a bad day or they didn't like doing bigger dogs? In any case I won't be trying there again. Very poor.

I am so impressed used the groom room for the first time today all the staff were friendly and professional and Carlie who groomed my Rodney aka Dave!! Was super best groom I’ve ever had for him!! Definitely recommend!

I’ve used The Groom Rooms for a few years with my dog but yesterday will have been the last time. I don’t know if there is new management, he is very rude. Has tried to change our appointment the last couple of times to an on the hour one so that he can squeeze more in and has been extremely rude when I said I can’t due to the times of our trains. The groomers themselves used to be so sweet and patient but new one is extremely rude as well. My dog came back traumatised yesterday as my son took her so I’m wondering if they’ve done something to her? She’s an old dog and doesn’t smell clean at all. They also sweet talked my son into extra services which I had declined over the phone that morning so I paid a stupid amount for practically nothing. Not impressed.

The worst experience ever!
The worst experience ever! Avoid this company at all costs. Following a complaint I made about service, the groom room called us to inform us that we were no longer welcome! Approached the complaints team and they were about as much use as a chocolate watch in 30degree sun.

Disappointing 1st puppy appointment
- I had an appointment at the Pets Grooming, The Groom Room, in Winchester, last Saturday, 18/07/2026 - 12:00pm. - It was an appointment for my 12-weeks puppy, Pudim. As it was his first appointment at a groomer, the plan was to get him started with socialisation in such environments. So, when we arrived, I informed the staff that I didn't want any clipping done, just him to be hand stripped, plus regular bath, blow dry, brush his teeth and clip his nails. - The staff confirmed that they wouldn't do any clipping, just handstripping, and give him a bath, plus the other services mentioned above. - I returned to get my Puppy, which was delivered in a very rushed way, and by the time I got home, I noticed that he was half-clipped! which wasn't the agreement. - In addition, I was charged a price as he was fully clipped, in addition to the deposit that I had paid via the website. - The staff gave some feedback about his behaviour and experience with the bath, blow dry and whatnot, but didn't mention anything about the "half-clipping". - I'd like to understand why it happened, if it was a miscommunication error between staff? - Why haven't I been informed about the "half-clipping"? - Why have I been charged £28 for a wrong and incomplete service?

Groom room Havant
Groom room Havant. Rude and arrogant staff. Overcharged for a bath. £55. For a puppy. Said they cut his nails but they were cut on a previous bath, only weeks before. Nothing else done apart from that. The receipt gave a total of £36 yet she charged me £55. When collecting the dog, I was insulted, shouted at and it was not even my dog. I took him there for my son as he couldnt bath him due to his boiler being broken and no hot water. As I am 75 years old with serious health conditions I felt quite ill at their attitude, which amounted to aggression. I now worry about how they treated my sons dog if they can be so abusive to someone of my age. God Forbid they ever work in a care home, and bad they are trusted with peoples dogs. Needless to say I told them what I thought of them and for that at the grand age of 75yrs old, they banned me from the store. I had no intentions of going back there so a ban really was not needed. I would like to add on collecting the dog I was not texted or contacted when he was ready, so I arrived at the approx time given at the drop off. And I did see that someone else was charged for being late when they had not messaged or contacted the owner to collect. Then tried to insist on a late collection fee to that person. I think from my experience and the other persons review they just try to trick you out of money. I was most certainly over charged. And insulted for nothing of my fault. I would like to add I felt quite unwell later in the day after all the upset. It was not something that anyone, especially an older person should have to endure.

Visited Burnley store, lovely young ladies. Very limited experience with grooming was my overall impression. For the price i was expecting some styling. They were afraid of cutting round his face, i explained when i booked him in he was partially sighted so keep reassuring when trimming. So i trimmed round his face no problem just by talking to him telling him what a clever boy he is. Its not rocket science. Its training. Plus the dog needs to be reassured. I went to make another appointment and they asked me to travel to another store 20 miles away for a more experienced stylist lol. Talk about taking the michael Pets at home train your staff to do there job. I an taking my business to the new pet stire that has opened in burnley.

Probably the worst experience I have had in a place in a long time! My puppy is 6 months old and has very long hair, I understand that for the first cut it is very difficult for the groomer as some puppy’s don’t like the grooming process so I understand my cockapoo coming out with not very much done to him! But to keep on charging £30 washing, drying and cutting a little hair round my puppy’s eyes bottom etc was diabolical and you have to pay £25 deposit in case you miss your booking and now I don’t wish to return to this shower nobody reply’s or wants to know about the refund! Avoid at all costs imagine a puppy in this heat with long fur it’s simply not fair definitely would not return.

I took both my dogs for a second time as they smelt and looked gorgeous, their nails were clipped and I was generally happy on the first visit. So I took them for a second time and wow what a difference. My dogs didn’t smell nice as they did before. Their nails hadn’t been clipped, their faces wasn’t cleane, their ears were dirty and I was charged £5 extra. Definitely not consistent and I won’t be wasting my money again. Robbing dogs!! Excuse the pun.

I am absolutely disgusted, we dropped my standard poodle off for a groom and they shaved him right down to the skin, he doesn't even look like a poodle and he is really sad and won't go anywhere, we rescued Teddy in November 2025 and he has been a happy dog and now he is miserable and then they charged £105 for the privilege
Honest review
Honest review, it's hit and miss, 1st time was not the best but I didn't ask for the signature wash or the de-shedding, 2nd time with signature wash with de-shedding was amazing my dog was not shedding for 2 weeks and came back smelling amazing, this time choose the same signature wash and de-shedding, picked her up put her in the car and fur started flying as soon as the car started moving, I found it weird but I gave the benefit of the doubt, got home brushed her for 10 minutes with a de-shed brush and the amount of fur that came out is ridiculous, I don't know if they did something different but for £50 I expected a bit better.
