What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Shoppers frequently reported major problems with online orders, including missing items, damaged products, and severe delivery delays that left many consumers completely without their expected purchases. Additionally, customers struggled to get customer support, complaining that representatives were unhelpful, rude, and entirely unresponsive when trying to resolve urgent account complaints. The minority of people were satisfied with helpful staff members who provided polite and professional assistance during their local store visits. Some reviewers also noted fast delivery times and smooth transactions for certain online purchases that successfully exceeded their initial expectations.

Me and my family were shopping and the fire alarm went off it was very loud and there was no fire, then some old man yelled at me for no reason and people pushed me out of line and cut it to check out, and when we were checking out the lady broke the 30$ vase I was going to buy she scanned it and then broke it didn't take it off and I didn't know so by the time I got to my car I paid for a vase that I didn't even get

Walmart's sleazy and deceptive marketing practices

I went online at Walmart to order a $6 cardboard shipping box. After entering my email and password, they sent a verification code to my email (standard process these days). However, after entering this code, Walmart said I had to provide my phone number so they could text me a code to verify my account. I had already verified my account. This step is unnecessary and is a sleazy marketing effort to get my phone number. I was given a delivery date of August 3. After submitting the order, I received a "Shipped" status email stating that the anticipated delivery date was now August 1 and that it would be earlier than the original delivery date. There was a "USPS tracking number xxxxxxxxx" link in this status email which was completely misleading. When I clicked on it, it took me to a login page for Walmart, not to a USPS tracking status page. So I copied the number and pasted it into an actual USPS tracking page, and the message that was returned was "Status not available at the moment. Please try again later". This was the message I received on July 28, July 29, July 30, July 31, August 1, August 2, and August 3 (today). So this "USPS tracking" is a completely bogus and misleading piece of information. And as of 11 AM, August 3 I still do not have my box. Horrible customer experience, I will not patronize this company again.

My issue is not with the stores…

My issue is not with the stores themselves but with the Walmart shopping app. I ordered this item from the Mayfield location earlier this day (1 pm). I was told that there was 7 available and none at the meadowlark location. The order was placed and 2 hours later I was sent a message that the order was cancelled. I contacted customer service and was told it was out of stock and I would have to try again later. When I asked the rep to check other store stocks I was told they were unavailable at every location and the website had not updated yet. I was very upset because I had ordered this same item on Amazon and then they went out of stock afterwards and our shipment was delayed by a month so my daughter was VERY excited to get it this day from Walmart instead and we expected that the website was accurate on stocks. I was desperate, checked the app and changed my selected store to meadowlark. When I did this the numbers suddenly changed and now Mayfield had none in stock and Meadowlark had three. The site had not updated. I tested by switching my selected store again to Mayfield and it again said they had 7 and meadowlark had none. So now I switched back to Meadowlark praying for good news and ordered the doll again, this time paying for express pick up hoping to find out sooner rather than later if I would have to deliver my daughter the bad news, and in an hour the doll was ready for pick up. So, I ordered in the morning at one location and told my daughter in a few hours we could pick up. It was cancelled 2 hours into our order with no apologies. Customer service was unable to give accurate advice. I tried the app again with no trust for its reliability, paid for the express pick up due to my lack of confidence and the item was indeed available when I was told twice before it was not. This is a hardcore failure of online shopping, it cost me a days worth of anxiety and $6 for express packing to even ensure that I would be able to buy what I was promised that morning. I am very disappointed

Service was great, spam not so much

I purchased an Onn Bluetooth speaker from Walmart online. It was delivered free because it exceeded the necessary cost threshold and arrived very quickly. It worked as desired. However. I've since been getting several spam messages a day. Gmail's "unsubscribe" function is ignored. I have to click on the link in their spam message, and as a vigilant cybersecurity enthusiast, I don't think that they should be able to spam you to death unless you click on their link.

Walmart should get sue for their non existing customer service. They lied about my delivery and refuse to give location to pick up. It acceptable to them to waste customer time and money because they are not reprimanded for anything. This should be illegal

This is the second time we have had 5…

This is the second time we have had 5 or more items missing from our order (all the cold stuff like milk, meat, etc.) I am a Sr. And really don’t want to get out in the heat. Now my meal planning for the week is missing items!!! This is extremely poor management and something needs to change!!! You will lose more customers this way…me included!

I purchased a Vipuse wood burning grill…

I purchased a Vipuse wood burning grill on November 16, 2025. It stopped working in June. I contacted Walmart because I purchased an extended warranty. They told me to contact the manufacturer. I couldn't so Walmart wrote me back and said the seller would send me a part to fix the grill. I said we didn't want to fix it. We are not repair people. After going back and forth, they told me they would give me a full refund along with the money for my warranty. That was last Saturday. I never got the return label. Today they told me it was nothing they could do for me, they suggested I either call my bank and try to get my money back or wait until November and file on the warranty. I am so disappointed that a company like Walmart would do this. I spend so much money there. Well I used to. Clearly customers mean nothing to them. I wish I had purchased it elsewhere.

Avoid the Waverly,Ohio store

When I arrived at the Waverly,Ohio location a few minutes before six A.M.,I noticed that the outer doors were already open,so I went inside and took a cart and began shopping.A couple of minutes later a man showed up saying I came in before the store was open, and drug my cart back to the front of the store. Then a woman showed up and claimed I had forced my way inside. While this was going on,other people with carts were walking past me!Guess they were only closed to me!If they didn't want anyone in,they should have locked the doors.I will be going to Kroger only after this, where the people are friendly.

If I could give 0 stars

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I ordered groceries through Walmart+ and never received my order. The driver took a random picture to mark the order as delivered, but my groceries were never delivered. When I contacted Walmart customer service, I explained what happened, but they only refunded me $45 even though I spent more than that. I had to reorder all my items and pay an extra $10 fee because I needed my groceries on time. Now I have to wait for the rest of my refund, even though this was not my fault. This has been a very frustrating experience and the customer service was disappointing. If you are going to order groceries, I recommend choosing the option that requires a handoff or a PIN so the driver has to verify the delivery. This could help prevent situations like mine from happening again.

Just another Standard Walmart Blunder-bust

It's inevitable that something will go wrong when you deal with Walmart on any level. I prefer the curbside pickup because it's less of a snafu then having to go inside and encoun consistently distributed problems from aisle to aisle to check to the parking lot. However apparently Walmart has decided to start charging people's debit cards for EBT orders Now I was charged $3.24 for something that no one can seem to tell me what it was. I had literally only 25 items and all of them were snap eligible according to their screen too So what is the mysterious$3.24 charge ? Who knows I don't, they don't, walmart chat does it, The bank doesn't, and Walmart website and application they don't know either.. Then I I'm on the chat after the bot into the human and they tell me yes we're gonna give you a refund can we refund it to your EBT card. No hell no. You refund it to where you took it from. I couldn't believe that that popped up on my chat and I'm going to take a picture of it and frame it because it's gotta be the most ridiculous question I've ever been asked from Walmart. Yeah sure Just illegally refund a transaction that wasn't an EBT transaction to begin with. I mean what are they working with now? I just give up on ever having a seamless experience with Walmart unless it's plagued with one ridiculous completely avoidable issue in every department or every service offered to every employee. And for the employees that are nice which are few and far between (I think there's one in Iowa off the grid) that I can think of they end up either going to work somewhere else or they turn into carbon copy cutouts of the textbook image of a Walmart Supervisor. So they all become either young preteens with pimples and power thrusting their manager code like a one hit wonder rapper with one good song and 6 Bentleys waiting on the next hit everyone knows ain't coming, not before the repo man arrives . If your town does not have this manager they have the alternative which is mid to late 40's, mid to gone 80's throwback hairstyle and sable to kohl black lipliner that never came off and that explains the perpetual look of unexpected startle their eyebrows convey even while sleeping. They only have the black lip line to convey how they feel and the gum in their mouth that pops to the sound of aggravation because their eyebrows are saying some different. They're all rude and they don't even realize it is not cool and trendy to be an a****** anymore since Clerks and Bad Bosses. I causally mention it is not cool but they only look at me with empty eternal surprise. Power pimple popper or color me butcher brow are your only choices. The friendly guy that bounces around the checkout lanes with the more prestigious postion head shift front end team leader or whatever they call them, he is always too busy to stop and chat with the small folks...that is a dead end road. I loathe Walmart. Now the chat agents are trying to refund money that was taken from a debit card into an EBT account. The Final Kicker is that it took eight seconds to take that money from my debit card. It's going to take 10 business Days and two follow up emails and the possibility of it taking longer then 10 days to put $3.25 back on debit card. This is ridiculous. You can't tell me in the vast world of AI that you can take money out instantly but it takes 10 days to put it back in. So it took eight seconds to take it out and to lose a customer and it's going to take 10 more days to make sure this lost customer helps other customers get lost during my two week unbalanced budget blunderbust. Thanks Walmart .

My Wife has had missing items in every…

My Wife has had missing items in every single order she has made from Walmart delivery. She's a very patient woman and has called in many times to let our local store here in Mesa, Arizona know about her constant missing items. Unfortunately the same problems continue to happen over and over again. In the most recent delivery, there were once again several missing items and we've requested another refund. It looks like this is it, we'll be using another grocery service from now on. Walmart's low prices are not worth it if you're consistently missing items in every order.

Slowly Digging A Bankruptcy Case

Walmart.com has the nerve to not provide me with fresh food , hence tell me that I am in violation because I offered feedback . They need to properly train their shoppers to Read the labels and make better selections of food and other items. They are slack with their deliveries, customer service clueless and unconcerned . They sent me , blatant pork feet that clearly did not look edible ; covered in yellow discolored dye ; to cover up the rottenness . They smelled to the high heaven. They told me , I was in violation and Cancelled my order , and I paid for the Walmart plus subscription ( still current ). Randallstown Store sucks and ghetto as ever . The meats are poorly proportioned and high priced . Do not shop Walmart .com ; their shoppers don’t know the difference between cheeries vs grapes . They refused to compensate me and make the adjustments . Therefore , I need to go !!

I cancelled an online delivery order…

I cancelled an online delivery order and walmart still has a "temporary hold" on money that was cancelled in less than 30 min , now it'll take walmart up to 10 days(2wks) to return my money to my card!!! Pending why when the order was cancelled, funds should of been released right away. Walmart has a disgusting return policy!!!! I have since deleted the app as I wont ever let Walmart hold my money for a cancelled order again! Over $100.00! Which you have to find out through a chat with automated responses, no live phone call. I'll go to family dollar in store while I wait up to 2 wks for Walmart to reverse a 10 min charge.

this is ridiculous

this is ridiculous. Everything I order lately shipping is delayed and I either have to cancel it and hope that it gets canceled or it sits there in lingers sometimes for two weeks before I ever get the item. Unacceptable. I am questioning renewing my Walmart subscription because of this. I can take the time and drive to the store a lot quicker in this Walmart plus was supposed to be for convenience well it's not convenient anymore most of the time to use the app. not to mention the items you go in and select in your cart 3/4 of them or more say low stop and I've stopped even ordering those because there's an issue always with getting those items. Come on Walmart you can do better than this !
