What people say

Top Notch Customer Service

Toni Rodarte was extremely helpful, understanding and explained everything so I could understand. Back story: I was changing the battery in our Cannon safe, and the 9-volt battery connector broke. I thought I could just replace the connector, unfortunately it was a bit more complicated - I need to replace the keypad. Toni asked for pictures, proof of purchase and serial/model numbers. I was not able to provide the numbers since I am at work but will email as soon as I get home. I was pretty upset with the situation, but Toni made me feel like this was something small and easy to fix. I am hopeful that will be the case when the new keypad arrives.

If I could leave zero stars

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I highly recommend staying away from any Cannon products. I purchased a Cannon gun safe, thinking this would be a good way to secure my belongings and valuables, unfortunately, due to the cheap components and a lack of customer service, I am locked out of my gun safe with no other option other than drilling the safe to get to my belongings. After contacting Cannon to resolve the issue, the only thing they can provide was a replacement keypad, which does no good as the safe is locked, and I need to open the safe to replace it, which requires it to be drilled making the safe, no longer usable. I highly suggest to stay away from their products to avoid the headaches I’ve been going through just trying to get my belongings.

Faulty welds.

In attempting to open the safe where the bolts were slightly jammed up due to insufficient space between the door and the first tow of rifles, my 64 year old, wheelchair-bound self managed to apply enough torque on the opening mechanism, to sheer off a weld, making the hand wheel free-spin, with the bolts still in the locked position. Now it’s a large paperweight, with about 40 inaccessible weapons in it. Yes, they have a lifetime warranty, but it’s useless if they never respond to emails or answer the phone. As an alternative, may I suggest placing the guns between your bed’s box spring and mattress? At least there, you could access them. I would have rated them a zero, but that’s not an available option.

Quality -5, customer service -100

I have a large gun safe, with a supposedly lifetime warranty. I cannot verify if the warranty is truly lifetime, because I cannot get anybody from Cannon to respond. Out of the 24 times I’ve called, only 3 times has someone picked up, (at which point, they immediately hung up without a word. without a word. I’m my opinion, this has all the earmarks of a dying company. Absolutely no response to my repair request forms submitted. A weld between the operating spindle and the door latching internals broke while attempting to open the door, leaving me locked out. A locksmith managed to get me access on a one time basis, but no permanent solution. The paint on the door began peeling within 3 months of me bringing the safe home. Poor product design/construction and an unwillingness to stand by their product does not fill me with confidence.

Safe won't open

Safe won't open. Mechanism inside has been temperamental since I have own it and now it won't open. I contacted customer service and they were about a useful as the safe mechanism. They wouldn't help me unless I paid... which BTW their warranty is supposedly lifetime. It's as garbage as their customer service is. Go with a different company and avoid these clowns like the plague.

Bought an older mdl safe at estate…

Bought an older mdl safe at estate auction, no manual or information, only a working combo. Emailed for assistance, "ticket closed" reply w/o add'l info. Contacted chat support, Toni Rodarte responded, & ably informed me of all needed info, as well as a downloadable manual for the "antique" (2010) safe.

Do not buy a safe from Cannon !!!

Do not buy a safe from Cannon !!!! The brand new safe would not lock. After sending them video confirmation of my problem, they sent me a new lock mechanism, but that new lock mechanism would not lock either so they were supposed to give me permission to grind it down myself so that it would lock, but they would not tell me whether or not it would mess up my warranty …. Said they would get back to me after they asked their management…. I’ve emailed them several times with no response…still waiting on confirmation after weeks of crickets in my inbox..
