Mariel was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Answered my questions, sent all the information to the selling dealer, and was quick and knowledable with her responses. Im quite impressed.

I like this app because it saves me time when looking for a vehicle. I live on the Ohio Pa line but I live in PA so we have inspections Ohio dont. So cars in PA are prime cars in Ohio are rust buckets PA cars are expensive Ohio is not as much so I like to find nice Ohio cars that will pass PA inspection Ohio has nicer cars close to the boarder so I can check for rust and save time not driving 2hrs away if I find something I like then I'll go look at it. So it really helps me out.

We’re sorry to hear that you had such a frustrating experience. It’s never acceptable to feel disrespected or treated poorly, and we understand how upsetting that can be.
CarGurus is an online marketplace, and dealerships independently set their own vehicle prices, down payment requirements, and financing criteria. We do not control those terms, nor do we participate in dealership-specific lending decisions.
That said, we take feedback about dealer conduct seriously. If you’re able to share the dealership name, listing link, or any details about what occurred, we can review the matter to ensure the dealer is complying with our advertising policies.
If you believe there has been discrimination or unfair lending practices, you may also consider contacting your state’s Attorney General’s Office, a local consumer protection agency, or the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for further assistance.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback!
We’re glad to hear that your customer service request was helpful. Providing clear and supportive assistance is always our goal, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
It would be better if you could chat with actual sales people unteased of wasting time. I said I could only do text and then the dealership called. They do not listen, not care.

We’re sorry to hear this was frustrating. We understand how important it is for dealerships to respect your preferred contact method, especially when you’ve asked to be contacted by text only. Dealer communication is handled by the dealership itself, but we do share this feedback to help improve the experience. If you’d like, please reach out to our support team with the listing details, and we can note your contact preference and look into it further.
Thank you for reaching out. We understand that speaking directly with a salesperson is often faster and more helpful than email communication.
We recommend contacting the dealership by phone or visiting in person if possible, as CarGurus is an online marketplace and does not directly manage dealership sales staff. If you’d like, you can ask the dealership to schedule a call with the specific salesperson you wish to speak with.
Dont bother signing up for email alerts, all you get are notifications for cars well beyond the price range you set, and not even the same make or style of car.. DAILY.
I set up an alert that is quite specific and is the only thing I'm interested in. But every day I get alerts for cars that start at the highest price I set, go up to double my price range, and aren't even close to the same type of car I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a Kia Forte $12k or less but the alerts show me SUV's $12 or more. Is this how they justify charging people to advertise their vehicles?
It's like walking on a car lot where they constantly try to get you in a car you can't afford, don't want, and didn't ask for.
I won't be using this site again

Thank you for sharing your experience — we’re really sorry to hear that your alerts haven’t been matching your preferences. We understand how frustrating it can be to receive notifications for vehicles that are outside your desired price range or make and model.
CarGurus alerts are intended to reflect the inventory dealers' list, but sometimes listings can vary in price or type from what’s selected in the filters. Could you please follow up with us here: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/enterFeedback.action
Terrible dealer support, Matt signed me up right before the end of 2025 around December 14 and he said the rest of this month for free but they never did and i tried several times to call him but never answer the calls also i called other rep but no one take it seriously and still no answer.
I aske to close the account since we are not making any sale of them, We do get leads but non of it serious buyer and that is a big question? It seems the leads are bogus..

We’re very sorry to hear about the experience you’ve had. It’s frustrating when promised trial periods aren’t honored, leads don’t convert, and your attempts to contact support go unanswered. We completely understand your disappointment.
To help resolve this, we recommend contacting our Dealer Support team directly with your account information to ensure your request to close the account is processed and that any issues with leads or billing are properly reviewed. Providing details about the calls you’ve already made or any correspondence you’ve had will help us escalate your case more efficiently.
We truly appreciate your patience and feedback, and we’re sorry this experience has been less than satisfactory.
The dealership was horrible The sales person did not shake our hands. He seemed a little unprofessional. Also now that I’ve been looking at other vehicles and I talked with my bank. They say that I’ve been pre-approved for the vehicle at Bob Pinkus Mazda that I did not like! that I made it very clear I had no intentions of buying after I drove it. They did some shady stuff and did a pre approval behind my back without my consent .

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how concerning it can be to feel that your expectations weren’t respected, especially around professionalism and financing. CarGurus is not a party to dealership financing decisions, but we take feedback like this seriously and appreciate you sharing it, as it helps us monitor dealer practices and shopper experiences on our platform.
It’s nice but pretty useless if the information provided is incorrect/inaccurate. Doesn’t have a shop online. Delivery service is not offered from the dealer and any information they offer is meanings to the actual dealer. Gave it a two just for an app you can find a vehicle but all their other options are worthless. It’s basically a library for other libraries.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it is when listing details don’t match what the dealer ultimately offers. Vehicle information and services shown on CarGurus are provided by the dealerships, and while we work to promote accuracy, we rely on dealers to keep their listings up to date. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where greater transparency and improvements are needed.
