My luggage was picked up and arrived on time, both coming and going to my vacation destination. I received notifications. The labels I was sent were neat and faultless. We were sending the suitcase to a ship ... it was sitting waiting for me in my stateroom when I boarded. I made a change in my departure date from the ship ... LF readily changed the date for picking up my luggage, and notified the ship's crew when they would come to pick you my luggage. Efficient and effective!!
Excellent service, right on time for collection at both ends of my journey. Luggage arrive at my home sooner than expected - that was good. Cases were fully in tact without any marks or damage. 100% would recommend. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
Overall the service delivered our luggage--at a considerable price. Also, there was promised immediate tracking of our bags. This set up an expectation that created concern when we were unable to track the progress of our luggage.
Luggage forward was in contact with the ship and all I had to do was meet them after i pick up my luggage. it was an easy and seamless process. We will definitely us them again on our next adventure.
For an expensive premium service, my experience has not been a good one. Customer service was slow to respond to my queries. My luggage was late due to customs which I understand, however, notifications were slow and my luggage was not dropped off door to door. I paid for the service so I wouldn’t have to pick it up from anywhere nor drag it up my stairs (which is why I hired a service to begin with). I would not use this service again.
We shipped a large suitcase from our Cruise Ship in Barcelona to our home in Florida, so we could travel "light" for the remainder of our journey. The process was super easy, set up the shipment online, cruise ship provided the packing labels, and then handed it to the identified staff in the cruise terminal during debarkation in Barcelona. The bag then arrived in remarkably great condition (less wear and jostling around I would say than a typical long-haul flight) two days later to our home. I highly recommend the service!
I have been using Luggage Forward for more than ten years, and I have never had a problem with international deliveries. Whether I send my luggage from a foreign country to the U.S., or from the U.S. to a foreign country, the pickups and deliveries generally take place on the promised pickup / delivery date.
The only exception for on-time delivery is when there is an unavoidable delay at the Customs office, and Luggage Forward has no control over that.
A great service because it saves me from constantly retrieving my bags at baggage claim, then re-checking them, since my trips involve multiple airlines and my luggage can't be checked all the way to my destination.
I gave a four-star rating rather than five stars, because I feel that the cost of the service is a bit high.
