Had to replace a very old, brittle screen on a door that was probably 25+ years old. It had a tear and my indoor only cats decided they needed to explore outside. Because it was so old, I was having trouble finding a screen that would fit. Being able to measure the opening and have a screen made to fit was perfect. It DOES fit and it’s nice to be able open the door again! (Don’t feel bad for the kitties; they have a large Catio to use outside!)

The screens look great and were done quickly and packed well with top quality. The only problem was that all the dimensions were 1/16 inch larger than specified in the order which caused them to not fit. I was able to trim them down to fit relatively easily in my workshop but most would not have the tools to do it. I would recommend when ordering to measure 1/16 smaller than the actual size if they are going to be made consistently 1/16 larger than ordered. I do know that is within the tolerance specified by metro but it will cause problems for some with tightly fitting screens. After a bit of trimming they were beautiful. Thank you.

The screen was well-made, looks good, you answered my questions quickly, and the process for ordering was straight-forward. The screen came well-protected and intact (and not excessive packaging, which I also appreciated). Only note (and is more of a wish) -- I wish there was an option for a steel/metal screen fabric (panel). I am using this as a front door screen protector for my dogs. I am skeptical that the pet-resistant screen will last long with my enthusiastic dog greeters, but I will still have the perfectly-sized aluminum frame to use if I need to eventually attach a metal panel.

Customer service responded with "Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you." The answer is yes...two things. First, change the measurement instructions when adding corner tension springs so that the screens will fit, and second, Metro Screenworks can own this oversight and send me five replacement screens at no charge.

The measurements were about 1/16" off, but still worked in our space. They seem to be quality shades, but we were disappointed by what your charged for shipping!
