Abbey was great with the dogs and cared for them wonderfully. They enjoyed having her come in morning for treats and dinner at night. Was extremely happy with the process.
Cat sitter arrangement
We are happy by finding a really good sitter for our cat , thanks that such services like yours exist. Connections with sitter, confirmation, payment -all was processed clearly and easy. For other points - for cats choice is really more limited than for dogs, ( but it rather relates to sitter preferences then app) What could be improved -keeping of pet sitter calendar availability up to date . The first selected sitter's availability matched the dates we requested but after contacting sitter told that not available.

We gad a lady look after our pers from Pawshake. I the past we used mad paws before but we were not quite as happy with the people that were looking after us. Melissa from Pawshake was excellent
not reliable
Very disappointed with Pawshake in Perth. Firstly the sitter got the date I had booked mixed up, but assured us she could still sit our little dog on the correct day/date/times we had requested and booked. We had agreed on booking, to a drop off of around 8am and pick up around 5:30pm. I messaged her at 5 mins to 8am to say we were just around the corner and we would see her shortly. The sitter then rang me at 8am (already in her car) to tell us she was on her way to take her kids to school. A 40 minute round trip!!! She told us to just put our dog in her backyard and that she would be home in 40 minutes. We had specified on booking that our dog would be anxious when we left and was an indoor dog. Obviously this new arrangement was not appropriate for us. We did not leave our little dog there and had to cancel a tour because of this. Thankfully our pre payment was refunded by Pawshake but it has certainly left us with no confidence in the quality of pet sitters on Pawshake's books. It is not ok to agree to dog sit a dog and then leave them alone unattended while the sitter goes off and does what they like! Terrible! Avoid.

All sitters are independent providers running their own businesses — they are not employees of Pawshake. Looking at the situation, it doesn’t sound like there was much — if any — discussion about the handover on Pawshake. You were also late to the drop-off, and the sitter had to take their child to school, which is why they couldn’t wait. If the drop-off had been on time, this situation likely would not have happened. Importantly, the Meet & Greet was skipped, which is the most important part of the booking. This is when owners meet the sitter, confirm onboarding information & form, review police checks & agree on drop-off times & procedure. Pawshake does not guarantee bookings, insurance, or veterinary coverage if the Meet & Greet is not completed — this is simple risk assessment and risk management to make sure everyone and every pet is safe, and expectations are clear before a booking goes ahead. We understand you were disappointed with the sitter, and we will always refund a failed booking like this. However, the issues you experienced were brought about due to skipping the proper safety steps and by being late to the drop-off— not a failure of the platform or our sitters generally. AVOID this company
AVOID this company! I wasn’t getting any activity or bookings on my account so contacted support, they responded claiming they had sent me an email and had not received a reply, and that there was no confirmed booking for the specified dates. They had permanently suspended my account but with no warning, only when I contacted them did this show. Wow I have never come across a more appalling business than this. It’s no wonder there’s no one is using pawshake when the customer service treats its customers like this. Customers that would have bought revenue for Pawshake but I guess that’s Pawshake’s loss.

This distinction is important, as your experience relates to your role as a sitter, not as a client of the marketplace. Pawshake does not suspend sitter accounts arbitrarily or without reason. Account suspensions only occur where there has been a breach of our Terms and Conditions. It would be illogical for us to remove active sitters from the platform unless there were serious concerns around compliance, trust, or safety — all of which are essential to protecting both pet owners and sitters. One of the most serious violations is attempting to take bookings or payments off-platform (for example, requesting cash payments). This bypasses the protections we provide and results in immediate suspension. In such cases, prior warning is not required, as the breach itself is sufficient grounds for account action. Maintaining a safe and fair environment for both pet owners and compliant sitters requires enforcing these policies consistently. Regarding your comment about not being contacted: it is each user’s responsibility to ensure their registered email address is correct and able to receive communications from Pawshake. We do send notifications regarding account actions, but we cannot manage individual inboxes. Please ensure your email is set up to receive our notifications. I have been trying to create a profile…
I have been trying to create a profile for days and keeps getting denied. I have upload multiple pictures with my pets to offer my services as a sitter and keeps getting denied as they use AI to analyze the pictures. This is ridiculous and staged! The pictures are in line with their so called examples. I have uploaded more than 20 pictures now with my dogs and my profile keeps getting denied what is even the purpose of this app Update: they did confirm my account but still was a very stressful process. Keep in mind not everyone has a million of pictures with their pets, usually we have more pictures of our pets

They exist to ensure sitters are qualified and to protect pets. We clearly ask for 5 gallery photos showing you caring for pets upfront.
Our first experience with pawshake
Our first experience with pawshake. Did message a few people and then stopped getting responses or the date I put in bought up a list of people who I assumed could do that date but couldnt. i think was meant to be as the people that looked after our dog were brilliant would definitely use pawshake again . The only problem we did have was we lived a long way from the people we needed to care for our dog so we had to chance it but did meet briefly the day before so it gave our dog a little bit of a chance to get to know the people and them her it was helpful that they had looked after a Rottie before.

I used Pawshake to locate a dog-sitter for our two dogs during our recent 16 night holiday. The app is very good at presenting the various people willing to provide this service and the chosen dog-sitter was excellent. What wasn't so good was the inflexibility of the app for the dog-sitter to offer a discount for longer stays, if they wished. As a result, the dog-sitter had to momentarily reprice her fee, me make the booking and her accept, and then for her to put back her original price. Therefore, I consider the app not to be developed enough in its application but the service of Pawshake to be reliable (we had no use of any of the benefits offered, so I can't confirm the reliability of that)
