About this business
When Planet Beauty opened in sunny Newport Beach, California in 1992, we didn’t agree with the definition of a beauty retailer. Rows of little beauty counters crowded inside busy department stores surrounded by mazes of packed parking lots…mega-mall monotony. This was not our definition of beauty. So, we decided to create a curated beauty haven in convenient neighborhood locations.We provided professional beauty brands as well as trending products and innovative newcomers.We developed a structured educational program to ensure the best and the brightest beauty advisors in our stores. And we decided we were going to have our own definition of beauty. And for over 25 years, we’ve done just that. 37 locations and a successful website later, we deliver more than just the best in makeup, skincare, haircare, styling tools, bath and fragrance. We redefined what beauty means to us, and most importantly, to you.

Don’t be fooled
Don’t be fooled. This company sells old and expired products. I purchased large salon type bottles of Alterna shampoo and conditioner the end December. I just recently started opened the bottles and noticed that both have a bad odor and the shampoo is separated (looks like cottage cheese). I notified PB and they told me it was past their return policy date. I wasn’t expecting necessarily a refund or replacement but I did expect they would care enough about their customers to offer some type of relief. I definitely wouldn’t recommend purchasing from them.

Great Selection!
I prefer to buy my hair products at a beauty supply store because of the quality and selection they have. But specifically Planet Beauty. I usually go into the store and I have found them to be about customer service. That’s what keeps me coming back. They are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered on-line today and found it very frustrating. I guess you switched to a new system and I was required to sign up again. Which I did. But apparently I learned I already was set-up. I didn’t remember my password. Went through that process a few times. Then, when I created a new password I lost my entire order. Had to re-enter everything again. Next, I compare shop some of the products like with Amazon and the products are pretty much the same price at your discounted price. I returned to your website and for some reason my info wasn’t there and had to enter all my info again! The technical issues could have been me. Overall, excellent product selection, prices, and quality.
