What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many consumers reported feeling trapped due to subscription practices, with charging persisting even after free trials ended or cancellations were attempted. Reviewers frequently mentioned misleading sign-up processes, where users were automatically enrolled in extra subscriptions or faced unseen terms and conditions. However, some people mentioned that assistance was available, with specific instances where customers were offered better tailored plans and received helpful service. A few other people also felt that the software itself could be excellent for creative and business work, and some even enjoyed specific programs.

What people say

DO NOT USE!!!!

DO NOT USE!!!!! Absolutely horrible, i just wanted to edit a pdf and ended up being trapped in an annual subscription I didn't sign up for and i can't cancel without paying a cancellation fee or starting another plan. Customer service also just ended conversation without notice. Don't expect help.

Terrible predatory company

Terrible predatory company. They automatically sign you up for the annual plan after the trial but fail to make evident that they charge high cancellation fees if you move forward into the first month. They also charge separately for the ai assistant so there are separate cancellation fees. Beware.

What terrible customer service

What terrible customer service. A product I barely used and could not find anyone when I did want to. Never again. This may be the finest example of a company that needs more competition in their world so they stop taking their customers for granted. Never will I subscribe to them again.

Deceptive free trial loop and relentless charge attempts

I canceled my free trial two days before it ended, navigating a painfully slow and buggy cancellation process. Despite finishing the steps, they attempted to charge my card two days later. Fortunately, the transaction failed due to insufficient funds. When I logged back into my account, the subscription was still active—and the system refused to let me cancel unless I updated to a valid payment method! Over the next four weeks, they attempted to charge my account 36 times. Three weeks in, they even dropped the fee to half price to try to bypass my low balance. I had to block them through my bank to stop the charges. I finally managed to cancel after a month, but the account still shows the subscription ending next month, keeping me on the hook for charges I tried to prevent weeks ago. Beware of these aggressive renewal tactics.

Do not trust this company

Do not trust this company! Have to pay almost CHF 30 to cancel a subscription!! Never ever seen that before!! Make your Website easier for people to navigate through!!! I am only 25 yo and even I didn’t understand what I bought! (I almost never write negative reviews but this is outrageous). It is also not that easy to cancel a subscription.

What an absolute SCAM

What an absolute SCAM. They had been charging me $60 monthly for MONTHS without my consent. It's my fault for not catching it sooner, but I would like to know why I was not getting emailed receipts with these charges? When I attempted to cancel online, they tried to charge me $200 to "cancel early". Uhm, WHAT? How is that okay? thankfully I was able to talk to a rep online to have it sorted out, but that's beyond the point. How many other people are they stealing money from without their knowledge? This company needs to be investigated for FRAUD.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

SCAM! I was unable to load the so called free trial. Received written confirmation that I successfully cancelled within the time frame yet just checked my bank account and can see money was taken. Reading all the negative reviews Adobe do not follow up and respond. This is a disreputable company. Do not get sucked in! AVOID

Nonsense cancellation rule and rude customer servixe

I would rather give zero star if Trustpilot allowed me to do that. Adobe auto renewed the plans without noticing me (not to say getting my permission) and I failed to find the place to cancel (I would let you know that it is impossible for you to find it without agents’ help). Therefore I contacted the live agent, Krishna. I told her this tricky thing was unreasonable, but she insisted that the autorenewal rule is “present” in the terms and conditions with thousands of words. She even didn’t allow me to finish my words and closed the ticket with ridiculous behavior. I’ll soon raise a complaint to this agent. Enjoy your fabulous job.

Horrible subscription process

Horrible subscription process. It was completely unclear I was signing up for a year with monthly payments. They make it terribly difficult to find how to cancel, so that took a while and now I'm stuck. I have a subscription for Lightroom but it crashes almost every time I use it. At times it also takes half an hour for it to read the library, although there's only a month of work there. Lightroom used to be way more stable.

Once you got the subscription it's…

Once you got the subscription it's absolutely impossible to unsubscribe, the page simply doesn't appear!!! So you should text to support and after 1 hour of conversation you still aren sure it cancelled/ Their website is absolutely user unfriendly, but at least support team works.

PLEASE READ

PLEASE READ! This app is scammy as fock not okay never ever again please do not link your card to this app because now my card is forever linked plus if you don't have enough money by the way they still steal your money like wtf. To cancel i had to had my fiance pay for the rest to finally cancel. Another reason to stay away they have no way to contact them also for refunds they claim you'll just randomly get a refund before 14 days after canceling WTF! Never in my life this app should be deleted off the internet yucky scumnbags.

POS SITE STAY AWAY

I wish the government regulated such scams. I don’t know how adobe got so big I had to beg them to cancel my trial on the first day!!! They wouldn’t even listen to me kept saying different things and not listening to me it wasn’t until I told them I have the services for free on another site that they went ahead and canceled my account. Absolutely ridiculous that there’s no option on the site to cancel your free trial. SHAME ON YOU ALL WHO TAKE PART OF THIS AND STEAL MONEY WHAT GOES AROUND COMES BACK AROUND.

Overcharged me hundreds, hours of support to get refund

Overcharged me for over a year with duplicate subscriptions. Had to chase refund for over a week, ending in a nasty call where and they tried to offer me a partial refund (why?) twice before giving me an actual refund when I said that was unacceptable. More recently, the website errored when I tried to change my plan to a lower value one, even though that is advertised as an option. Had to sit chatting support for an hour while they tried to upsell me three times before allowing me to downgrade.

Adobe Price Gouging

I have been using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat (Pro) for over 30 years in my profession as an academic scientist, dating back to my postdoctoral days in Stanford University. Having purchased these products several times using my UK and EU government and medical charity-derived funds over the years as they improved, I now feel deeply angry with Adobe's shift to a subscription-only model with very high annual fees. Many of the wonderful modern capacities of these programs are not required for my day-to-day work, but the basic functions are highly desirable. Having purchased the versions with the capabilities I need, and while I would be happy to pay an annual upgrade subscription of, say, US$10 per user to ensure continued compatibility with machine and OS upgrades, I feel that the 'academic' pricing currently offered for single machines or groups is price-gouging of an unacceptable kind. I am refusing to pay these subscriptions and instead struggling with alternative (and less good) software. It is time Adobe acknowledged its responsibility in global infrastructure and started making basic back-compatible versions of its products available for a sum that a retired lectuerer can afford from their own pocket.
