What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many consumers reported feeling trapped due to subscription practices, with charging persisting even after free trials ended or cancellations were attempted. Reviewers frequently mentioned misleading sign-up processes, where users were automatically enrolled in extra subscriptions or faced unseen terms and conditions. However, some people mentioned that assistance was available, with specific instances where customers were offered better tailored plans and received helpful service. A few other people also felt that the software itself could be excellent for creative and business work, and some even enjoyed specific programs.

What people say

I do not trust adobe

I do not trust adobe, I paid into a subscription for firefly at £9 a month. The following month it jump to £19 without informing me. I decided to cancel my subscription as I could get the same software from Google Flow. I emailed adobe stating I wanted to cancel, but they still kept taking the payments off my card. In the end I was forced to change my bank card to get them off my back. Adobe is only interested in your money, all the software on the firefly app is FREE.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS! I've been trying to cancel my subscription for ages but they wont let me. Terrible service, ZERO customer support. I'm going to have to talk to my bank to stop them taking my money and giving me nothing in return. repeat, DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS TERRIBLE SERVICE, there's lots of alternatives

Powerful creative tools, inconsistent stability

Adobe's creative applications give designers a deep and capable set of tools. Photoshop and Illustrator let me produce polished work without needing to move between several different programs, and most of the interface feels familiar once a workflow is established. The problem is reliability. I have had Photoshop layers freeze during active projects, forcing a restart and breaking my concentration. Support also took longer to respond than I expected, although the community forums were genuinely useful while I waited. The company's biggest strength is the breadth and quality of its creative toolkit. The weaker part of the experience is that software stability and support responsiveness do not always match that professional standard. I would still use Adobe, but fewer disruptive bugs would make the value much easier to justify.

The huge cancellation fee of £166 on…

The huge cancellation fee of £166 on top of monthly £66 bills for forgetting about a free trial is cruel - yes you technically 'warn' customers but you know people don't read the T&Cs and you're charging through the roof for that - it is poor business practice, at best, and frankly it is predatory.

A simple Adobe Reader download became a bloatware nightmare

I made the mistake of downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader. What occurred next was the download from hell. Without asking me, Adobe downloaded not just the reader, but two versions of Photoshop, Creative Commons code and some other crud. It also attempted to install a chrome extension that would have had power of attorney over anything I did in Chrome. It also attempted to download McAfee anti-virus software, and that was very bad because I already have anti-virus software and terrible things happen when you have two of them. Adobe clearly doesn't give a damn how it can totally mess up a person's computer with an extra anti-virus program!! It gets worse. The download and install could not be stopped. Desperate to prevent the install of McAfee, I had go into Windows tasks and kill the installer. I prevented McAfee but now I found that I could not uninstall the two versions of Photoshop (2023 and 2024). I had to download a barebones Adobe clean up program that runs a text-based script, and run it 4-5 times until I wiped out everything Adobe. Everything. I cannot tell you how pissed off I am at Adobe. I will never trust them ever again. Never. Adobe knows what it is doing when it drops a bunker bomb of bloatware on your computer. This is not an innocent act. This is *intentional*. I would use very strong language here except it is probably not permitted by TrustPilot. If this isn't enshittification, I don't know what is.

I signed up for the free trial for…

I signed up for the free trial for Adobe. It was useful for some basic PDF management tasks, but hardly earth shattering. Definitely not worth the absolutely ridiculous monthly subscription fee. When I went to cancel I realised I had missed the cancellation window, and was hit with a £130 cancellation fee (50% of the rest of my subscription. Yes that's right, it would have cost £260 over 11 months for the ability to edit and merge PDF basically). Yes, I should have set a reminder about the end of the free trial date, but really I can't recommend the service as good value, and cancellation fees like this are just cynical ways of catching people out. So, one star.
