Worst customer service using AI for a billion dollar company
Worst customer service with a company that's a billion dollar corporation. Within seconds of placing a support order for my AirPods, I reached out to add the additional pod because I realized that one was damaged too. They were in pieces and no way to send them back for repair. I had explained that I simply want to add the additional pod for the $139 and only paying shipping once. Instead, they told me I had to refuse the order, wait for a refund, and then add the second airpod. I need them for work, so not having them for over a week is not an option. They were also not able to create a second order for the second airpod while the first one was still being processed. So instead of receiving the two replacements for $138 plus tax, I have to pay $82 while I wait for one, and then need to wait until the second order is placed because I can not afford to go without the AirPods for work effectively spending about 15-20 more on shipping because they couldn't resolve the issue. The chat spent over an hour telling me there was nothing they could do before scheduling the phone call. By the time I got the phone call, the agent stated that the part was already shipped which seems convenient being it was literally within the hour of the claim being submitted. You expect customers to consistently shell out monthly money for subscriptions on apple care just to make using the support effectively and efficiently extremely difficult or next to impossible. Very poor business and customer service, and there's enough technology in the world for you to be able to add a second product to service claims. I will be leaving this review on google, BBB, etc. Over the years, your customer service has declined greatly, and the use of bots and AI for chats is a waste of time. you'd solve things more efficiently by having an actual person capable of logical thinking and solutions as well as build better relationships with the customers. Elisia, who called, was wonderful, but was also told by her supervisors that there was absolutely nothing they can do. Well, they could have ordered the second part and discounted part of the service fee to make up for the additional money spent. They could have refunded a partial amount of the first order, to make the total amount still equal to $138 plus shipping. There was a dozen different ways they could have tried to support the customer, and they simply said no.
I ordered a new laptop online and chose the trade in option for my old but perfectly working MacBook Air. At no point was I provided a trade in value other than the range between $300 and $540. I needed to update the address of the trade in kit, I spoke with someone online through the chat function, they said YES, they updated my address for the trade in kit and said I could expect it in 3-5 business days. Then I got an email a few days later saying to call Apple. I spoke with Nicole who just said I was not in fact receiving a trade in kit but a return shipping label and I would not be receiving any amount for the trade in. After hours of coordinating, and rush shipping my laptop back to the states from Europe to meet the 14 days trade in deadline, I was told there was nothing Apple would do but give me an accessory of the value of $150. Disgusting. At no point in the purchase process or updating the address for my trade in kit was I told that I was receiving $0 for my MacBook Air and it was just recycling. In NO correspondence did it say my MacBook Air was not eligible for a trade in, and at no point was I prompted to check my MacBook Air trade in value or where to even do that. Nicole was no help other than to say sorry they won’t do anything else. I’ve been a loyal apple customer since I was 16 (I’m 34 now). This was such a shame and embarrassing excuse labeled as support. Do better.
I'm forced by my employer to use iphone. I use it as little as possible as it's so unintuitive and horrible to use. I had to download an app and had to sign in to my apple ID but I'd forgotten the password for the email for the account. I used my laptop to get up the apple.com page and entered the ID email and clicked the forgotten password link, which sent an OTP code to the iphone. I entered the code which then took me to the next page, which then requested I entered my apple email address to send an OTP to the email - the same email I couldn't access because I'd forgotten the password. The insane stupidity of Apple defies belief - I now have to wait for however many days and they will send me updates to an email I cannot access. There is no support on Apple, just endless FAQs, no technical help or contact. Truly horrible, horrible company and products
I'm now going to get to an Apple Store in the hopes that someone might just be able to help
Went to an Apple Store in Wellington yesterday, WITH an appt to get a new battery for my iPhone 13. First I had to wait 20 minutes to get someone to help me, then they told me they would have order the battery, then tried to sell me an el cheapo iPhone 17E. They also told me some of their diagnostic equipment was not working. I had to drive almost 20 miles to the store. Ask them why no one contacted me to tell me they could not do my battery that day. They were the most unprofessional I have ever seen Apple be with me. Extremely disappointed in Apple.
I started seeing charges from Apple.com on my account. I tried to go on website but it didn't work. After 3 calls and sitting on hold for 30 minutes they are going to return 3 charges for about 8.00. I called my card and filed a dispute and there was 14 charges. I have an android phone and I don't know what all that stuff is. They should have been responsible for all the charges. Please beware and watch your account..
This has to be some funneling of illegal money to keep this crackpot of sloppy corporation to keep this company alive. Makes absolutely no sense to why they can sale the same crap over and over again acting like they've made innovations but just copy and pasted other people work the entirety of its exsistence.
The only thing this place has going for it is access to music. Just delete the rest completely waste air on this company.
