Last time I used Autotrader was in the 70s through their print version at gas stations. WOW!! This was the most streamlined and easy process I have used in years. Great process, questions were answered online and by real people on the phone. After the money wire transfer, I got a little nervous, but Cory from Autotrader Private Seller Exchange called me and verified everything and answered my questions, relieving my fears that my money had gone to some scammer named Babaloo in Bangladesh. Seriously, real fears have to be overcome with transactions like this~ huge leap of faith! But you guys pulled through like champs and the whole process was seamless. The vehicle handoff after test drive, one click solution for both buyer and seller was actually amazing and magical. The money being held for the seller was transferred to him in seconds! Well done! I'll be referring you guys to everyone I know (including Babaloo from Bangladesh!)
The process was seamless there was just a little confusion regarding bringing the title or not bringing the title.
Buying a car from a private seller, was a pretty easy process. I usually buy from dealerships. I’ll say I’m pretty impressed. I had plenty of help along the way, from a few of the customer service representatives in the Private seller department. They guided me in the right direction in every step of the way. 10/10 🙂
Really easy, clearly stated process. Website walks you through every step, and the title transfer transaction seems to be smooth. The only thing I would change is the bombardment of scammy people trying to get you to communicate outside the PSX system; stay inside the AutoTrader confines and it works great!

Very easy and secure as a car buyer. I was apprehensive at first, but the process was easy and even though there was a few issues on my end, they were handled in less than a minute on the phone with Autotrader. Very easy to communicate with the seller and the step by step process went smooth. Small fee for buying through Autotrader which I felt was very fair considering it still came with backing through Autotrader over the higher price package which comes with more protection. Would absolutely buy through Autotrader again!
I sold my car for my asking price pretty much. I felt secure in the process. I did not like the scammers like 3 or 4 a day trying to get something , like phone number or email or buy reports. But after a few days I can see the real people vs the scammers. At the end the process was also pretty good. Site was not the best when it comes to navigability. could not find easily pages i had used or needed. I would use em again and prolly have a better experince. also closed at nite sucked
The app is very unstable when using the chat feature. I was limited to using the web version for all communications.
This will dominate the auto industry. If you can provide financing for people which I see you can, this will crush the used car market, especially if you can deal with vehicles that have loans on them. If you can pay off the owners loan and handle the title work, this service is a game changer in the auto industry.

This platform is all bots and scammers. Do not waste your money. We sold on Facebook marketplace instead and it only took one week. Meanwhile the autotrader ad, which was identical, had one human message in 5 months. When you try to contact customer service it takes minimum an hour to speak to a human and they will have zero authority to help. When I complained that the platform was all bots and scammers they said that was not under their control. They also push upsells hard the entire time. They scare-monger you to get you to transact through them and pay their fee. So they cannot help you get your money’s worth by connecting you with genuine buyers, but they’ll continue to pressure you for more of your money. Last word: this site is severely outdated, difficult to navigate, gives you no recourse for issues you encounter, and makes it impossible to cancel or get a refund. Absolute waste of time and money.
What's really reassuring about this company is that with all the scams that are out there these days It's great to be able to deal with a company that's on the up and up and not have to worry about Where your money is going. They have simplified the experience through years of success. I would recommend using auto trader To anyone in the future.
