Grey hound is number 1 in long distance traveling .I love this bus just need to fix plugs and get wi fi working properly other than that my trip would be a 10 out of 10 .
The ride seems boring when you can't use your phone or charge it.best bus company overall 🤔

The driver from Phoenix was a very kind and experienced driver with Flix that exuded confidence and this was a very nice trip back to California unlike some in the past. The driver Mr Carl May did an excellent job and hope to see him again on my future trips 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Scheduled a Greyhound bus trip online one week in advance for an important matter. Was there 15 minutes early at a small station with all gates visible in same small area. Bus never came through station. Confirmed by station attendant there (who said this happens a lot, by the way). Online tracker said bus was "on time" even though it never showed. A woman who had been there for two hours waiting to make a connection with the same bus confirmed it had never arrived. Called, on hold for 15 minutes, got someone who seemed a bit lost, put me on hold for 10 more minutes, then insisted his information said bus left on time - I told him I was at the stop and it had not shown and he said it was "your word against ours." No help in anyway - just left us stranded. Tried to get a refund online and only option offered was to pay a "cancellation fee" that left less than $4 coming to me. Unacceptable on all counts. I will avoid Greyhound whenever possible from now on.
Update 7-6-2026 : The response below refers to an email that reads: "To assist you more effectively and review your concern accurately, we kindly ask that you provide additional details regarding the affected portion of your itinerary. Please let us know:
Which segment of your trip was affected? Was this in the outbound or return trip?
What were the departure and destination cities for that specific segment?
Any additional details you can provide will help us investigate your case thoroughly and provide the most accurate response possible."
This was the second email after Trustpilot convinced me to provide the ticket number (which provides all the info this email requests) and my email and phone number.
I see no reason why I should work to provide additional information - this email offers no reason... no actual actions that might be taken on my behalf. I have already gone through my bank and got a chargeback because the service was not provided - end of story.
I made this post to alert others that Greyhound is not trustworthy and will not give you a refund for no shows.
The email Greyhound sent me begins with this statement: "Thank you for contacting Greyhound. We're sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to you." In the first place, I did not contact Greyhound. I posted on Trustpilot. In the second place: Inconvenience? How about the high level of stress this caused me? How about the dehumanizing experience of a representative on the phone saying it was their word against mine? A simple transaction should not be a traumatic experience. I understand mistakes happen, but if the vendor refuses to own the mistake and tells me I am lying, then that is a breach of trust.

I made a mistake in the date of my ticket. The only way to remedy this was to buy a separate ticket. The driver seriously harassed me without reason and had me escorted off the bus. I had to wait 6 hours and buy a third ticket, a $20 ride ended up costing me $130. I was told by the security agent that escorted me off the bus that that driver has frequently thrown people off of her bus without good reason. I am 78 years old, educated and a civil person. The driver was drill sergeant like and seemed to enjoy barking unreasonable orders.

Greyhound put us on a bus from Orlando to Tallahassee in the middle of the day in JUNE in FLORIDA without AC. It was so hot I had to tell the driver I would have to be taken off the bus because I couldn't tolerate the extreme heat. He allowed me to sit up front for the remainder of the ride, where some air was blowing on him. I was able to survive the trip and when we arrived in Tallahassee they dropped us off in a parking lot, no bathrooms, no water, no nothing, to wait for our connection. This bus line should not be allowed to be in business, because they have NO respect or consideration for their passengers. To save money, they are eliminating bus stations and leaving passengers in parking lots in strange towns with no security or services. A real disgrace. Avoid this awful business.
Remind passengers to keep shoes on, use headphones, and be respectful. Also use less-odorous cleaners; restroom-like smells made one trip nauseating.
Please ensure that drivers remind passengers of the bus rules before or at the start of each trip, including keeping their shoes on, using headphones when listening to music or watching videos, and maintaining respectful conversations.
On my trip from Denver to Kansas, the driver made these announcements, and it made for a very pleasant and comfortable ride. However, on the return trip from Kansas to Denver, the driver did not provide these reminders. As a result, several passengers removed their shoes and engaged in loud, inappropriate conversations, which made the trip much less comfortable. Consistent reminders from drivers can make a significant difference in creating a respectful and enjoyable environment for everyone on board.
I would also like to suggest reviewing the cleaning products used on the buses. Although the bus from Denver to Kansas appeared to be clean, it had a very strong odor similar to a restroom cleaning chemical throughout the entire trip. The smell was overwhelming and made the ride nauseating at times. In contrast, the bus from Manhattan to Denver did not have this chemical odor and was much more pleasant at the start of the trip. Later in the journey, however, the air quality deteriorated because some passengers removed their shoes. Addressing both the cleaning product odor and enforcing the shoe policy would greatly improve the overall passenger experience.

This was my first trip with this company, and it will be my last; it was a traumatic experience. They practically stole my money—I missed my trip because I was just 14 minutes late, and they didn't refund my ticket. And don't get me started on the person at the Miami counter—she was rude and ill-mannered. I recommend not using this company.

My luggage has been missing for over 5 weeks now. I’ve already put in multiple lost luggage claims even calling FMCSA. No help at all. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered with a company, I’ve been given the runaround for over a month with no solution.
1 star as it wouldn't let me select zero. Bus delayed from NY by 1hr and 45 minutes and subsequently arrived 1hr and 55 minutes after scheduled. We we told by the attendant the only place to sit was on the ground behind other buses. Not going to happen with a 14 year old and us all unfamiliar with the area. Due to other buses at the same time being cancelled and not wanting to be stranded or sit on the ground for nearly 2 hours, we booked a train as an alternative.
Requested our bus tickets were refunded and got a flat no.
Avoid people, they don't care about customers service.
UPDATE - GREYHOUND HAVE REPLIED BELOW TO APPEAR TO CUSTOMERS THAT THEY HAVE ACTUALLY PROVIDED CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY HAVE NOT, ITS AN IDENTICAL EMAIL TO BEFORE OFFERING NOTHING AND NOT MENTIONING THE MAJOR ISSUE OF LEAVING A FAMILY TO SIT ON THE GREYHOUND FOR 2 HOURS

When I arrived at my departure location, the bus had already left. The operator drove off early, without checking if all bookings had boarded. That's the whole point of buying a ticket in advance, to reserve your seat and so they know you're coming!
I requested a refund via the Greyhound Contact Us form, but it was denied. The bus wasn't late, and that's the only thing customer service considered in their decision. Now I'm out $50 for a bus that didn't even *try* to pick me up!
Yes, I did arrive several minutes before the scheduled departure. This is not a case of 'the passenger is mad because they were late to their own ticket'.
If Greyhound wants to run ahead of schedule, which is a good thing of course, they need to cross-reference boardings with reservations. Sadly, they do not care if you actually make it to your destination.

I took a trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for two of my grandchildren's birthdays. I hate long rides but flying was not in my budget. Departure and every stop after was on time, the ride was smooth and enjoyable.

I had a 3 day trip turn into a 5 day nightmare. the company cancelling my bus without notifying me to rebook my trip, stranded in 2 major cities without any accommodations, lack of drivers to fulfill the requirements to operate and overall customer service is no help at all. The driver that picked me up from Nashville after greyhound cancelled my ticket and told me to wait for two days without food shelter was very nice and customer oriented. however the bus station in Nashville is nasty. I mean vagrants all outside, trash and cigarette buts just right outside, drug use right outside the front door. I felt like I was right in the middle of the trap house. greyhound needs to step it up. not to mention the Nashville station is staffed with security... no greyhound personnel at all except the drivers who know nothing except their route. very disappointed.

Price is really good / Good access to Cleveland Airport
Price is really good. Terminal in Erie is under construction, no signage, so you just stand outside where you think the bus will stop. Big advantage of a cheap way to fly out of Cleveland. Cleveland bus stop is near the airport. The RTA train to the airport is next door, and $2.50 for a 2 mile ride into Hopkins terminal.
