Really great options, love the meals that take less than 15 minutes. Portion sizes are generous. Easy to cook meals when the kids are hungry-and healthy!

Hi Tressa, we're so glad to hear you're enjoying the variety of options and the quick, healthy recipes! It's wonderful that our generous portion sizes and easy-to-cook recipes are a hit with your family, especially when the kids are hungry.
I’m trying the experience for the first time and am having difficulty figuring out which ingredients go in which dish. I was expecting that every thing would come wrapped together for each recipe. That way when I pull out a bundle, it t would have everything needed to complete the recipe. I was missing 2 ingredients in my original delivery but didn’t realize it until I went to make the dish and the item was not in my fridge.

Hi Tresa, we're so happy to hear you're enjoying the flexibility of our delivery and ingredients, along with the quality of our food choices! It's wonderful that you appreciate our sustainable packaging too.
Some of the recipes are a little light on content. For example, 3 meatballs for two people were not enough and the empanadas in this order were slight.

Hi Doris, we appreciate your feedback and have passed it along to the team.
I joined Hungryroot a few weeks ago. I was excited to try the first order. Some of the vegetables didn't pass quality check so they replaced it with another vegetable which then was out of stock so I was out four items. Once it was shipped it didn't arrive on the day it was supposed to since most of the items were cold I let them know and they canceled the order and reimbursed me. I went ahead and gave them another shot, the order went smooth but the shipping again late. I should have received it yesterday but now FedEx is saying it won't be here until Monday which means the food will not be safe to eat again. Customer service is out and their AI chat is trash! Once I do finally get a hold of them I'm canceling I'm asking for a reimbursement since I've received zero food from them. I won't be giving them another shot. 0 out of 10, do not recommend!

Hi Tony, we are truly sorry to hear about the repeated issues you've experienced with your orders. We understand how frustrating it must be not to receive your food safely after multiple attempts. That isn't the quality of service we aim to provide, and your perspective has been shared with the appropriate teams. We see that a member of our Customer Care team was able to assist you, and we appreciate your review.
I need to cancel this service. The first week was 115 for 5 meals. This week is 160 for 5 meals. The package was left by our open driveway gate in the sun at 102. As soon as I saw it I grabbed the box and put in my car. The box was left on an ant pile and now I have ants in my car. Thank goodness it wasn’t my box that was leaking but obviously some other box had leaked all over it.

I contacted service for a terrible/wrong delivery received on F, July 31 but Hungryroot never responded.
You sent me 6 HUGE QUIche and a bunch of snacks - no meals.
$225 in snacks??!!
Also, I have 2 accounts which I’ve asked you to merge or delete the old one - but no response from you. I still have 2 accounts.
And your produce arrives in a medium to poor state of freshness.
I’m discouraged. Will you respond to this WITH ACTION?
Tracy.

KNOW THIS- BEFORE BUYING FROM THESE PEOPLE...
I do not* give negative nor bad reviews based on simple stuff. You have to earn it! We began looking for more healthy and veggie meals for my dad because he has the SUGARz (If you catch my drift) So after looking over a few (BETTER) options, we chose HungryRoot. Now I will admit, my confusion led me to buy, as I presumed the meals came pre-made, as the photos seem to suggest. That was on me and I should have read into things deeper.
Imagine my dull reaction when I opened the box and found a grocery list of items, bagged broccoli, whole bell pepper, bagged noodles and such.
So... bare with me here... basically HungryRoot sends you the very same sh** you can go to the market and pick up YOURSELF! Along with a recipe on how to prepare it! (Again, something you can grab up for FAR LESS) Hell, you can pay someone EVEN, half of what they're charging, to grab up what they send.
But that's not what messed me up!!!!!
They then sneakily lock you in to a weekly thing, charging $116-$120 PER WEEK - MIND YOU - to send you (YOU GUESSED IT) A box of groceries.
THINK ABOUT THAT!
$120 A WEEK!!! For a grocery list and run that could cost you $40 bucks...
My BEST ADVICE?
RUN from HungryRoot as fast as you can.
These people are scamming folks in a subtle way and making $$BANK$$ on something that could cost you FAR LESS

Hi Kaley, we appreciate you leaving your review and we see you were able to connect with a member of our customer care. Since we’re a personalized subscription service, each week we send groceries chosen for you along with your recipes and a list of everything in the box so you know exactly what to make and what you have on hand. Every delivery can be customized and you swap recipes, switch to groceries only, or update your food preferences anytime. A delivery will be processed each week unless it’s skipped or your subscription is paused or canceled before the weekly cut-off. You had successfully cancelled your subscription. However, your account was cancelled after your shopping window closed. I can confirm that our team did issue a full refund for the delivery you didn't want to receive. If there's anything else we can help with, please feel free to reach back out.

I love that you get real food, as listed, not processed, but made easy/quick to prepare. The packaging is recyclable so no Styrofoam to deal with. Stretching our boring menu into something interesting and healthier. Good quality products.

Hi Cathy! We're so happy to hear you're enjoying our delicious meals and appreciate the convenience of our Sunday delivery option! Thank you for your wonderful feedback.
So far, I found a confusing to figure out how to order your kits for just one person. I’ve also had issues with the two salad bags. I’ve got having brown lettuce. And I sent a text to your customer support line with some questions and never got an answer.
The food I’ve had so far has mostly been good.

Hi James. We are so sorry about this. We are not seeing any texts or tickets by your email or phone on file. If you could reach back out to 855-222-5704 we would love to help and if we are able to help would love a quick rewrite if we are able to make things better.
I want to like this business so much, but the lack of notifications makes for a terrible customer experience! When I first started using the service, I would rave to people about how convenient it is. I even specifically shared my experience with text message reminders, so I never had an unwanted box arrive. In the past few months, I have now had at least 3 boxes arrive unexpectedly, with no advance notification. No text, no email, nothing. I even specifically subscribed to text messages again after my last unwanted box, even though I never unsubscribed in the first place. Now I am again stuck with wasted food because we are traveling. And it seems to take forever to get someone to reply.
Great idea, great recipes and products, VERY scammy / POOR customer experience. Proceed at your own risk.
