Horrible Customer Service

I ordered this amp and then immediately went to download the software as it becomes available immediately after purchase. I was surprised to find that the app isn't available for desktop (from a software company). I immediately tried to cancel my order but the only way to contact the company is through their email. I received an automatic reply asking to send pictures of the faulty product. It hadn't even shipped yet. I had to send several more emails before they told me they couldn't cancel the order because it already shipped. I got a shipping notification a day later, but only for the footboard and not the amp. Several emails later they said that both had shipped and I would be required to refuse delivery. Two days later the amp shipped. Absolutely horrible customer service. I'm still trying to get a refund, I would avoid this company at all costs.

Downgraded to demo license

I purchased the BiasFX standard to play on my PC about 8 months ago and all has been working great until roughly a month ago. All of a sudden, I'm downgraded to the demo version and can no longer use the software I purchased online to play. Trying to find and contact customer service is an absolute disaster. Definitely search elsewhere if you want a better-performing product and people you can speak to.

spark mini serious failings - audio interface and line in

Bought a spark mini, sold one there excellent promotoinal material. But I needed the auxiliary input to work so I could route a clean line input in (using trio +) whilst guitar went through the guitar input. Beware there is a huge (say 500ms) delay on the aux input. Makes it unusable in this scenario. I use similar arrangements on 2 Line 6 amps and a Behringer. All work perfectly. Next - you get a free issue of presonus 1 - great but the spark mini will not connect to a MacBook Air m1 without terrible digital distortion - unusable as an interface. So beware of this otherwise great little box of tricks if you need either the line in put to be without delay (latency) or use the unit as a recording pre-amp.

Attempted to purchase Spark Mini with a Custom Grille

Attempted to purchase Spark Mini with a customized grille 2x. 1st attempt resulted in a customer service message saying it failed due to some design error, but didn't tell me what. Just told me to wait for further instructions. I waited and got no follow-up. So I pressed the issue, this time I got some information about what happened, but still not enough to know what I should do next. I was refunded for my 1st attempt, and tried a 2nd attempt to purchase with a customized grille. AGAIN it fails, and again I don't know to what extent the customization failed and what I should do next. Now I am livid and while I've gotten my refund again, it winds up taking around 20 days from the 1st attempt before their customer service can explain what went wrong with my design. In addition, they don't even seem to know when they are talking to the same person on two separate support tickets. It is an incredible shame that a company with such a good product can have such a messed up site that they can't deliver what they offer, and outsourced customer service that is sorely lacking in several ways. It's completely put me off from trying again.

Huge promise, limited delivery

Huge promise, very little delivery. The amp seems like good quality and the presets are already above other mini-amps out of the box. HOWEVER the app keeps crashing when trying to login the ToneCloud or when changing settings. So if you thought you'd be able to download and dial in your favorite tones as promised, well... chances are you won't. At this stage, Spark is barely a proof of concept, and nothing reliable. Please pay for a decent team for developers so that you can promise an efficient and available service *at all times*. Will be seeking a refund.

Is 1 star the lowest I can possibly…

Is 1 star the lowest I can possibly give?!. I rarely order clothes online. The reason being for what I have just received in the post. I checked out the trustpilot reviews and can now only assume that trustpilot can no longer be trusted!!. What I have received is beyond a joke!. The 4 mens tops that I ordered from Sparkrythm bear absolutely no resemblance to the pictures on the website. I can't even be bothered to describe the absolute s#@t I received. How can a site have so many positive reviews and send out what I received. Clearly a con site. Can't even be bothered to try and contact them as life is to short to deal with this nonsense.

Based on the recent reviews here I was massively sceptical about placing my order. But I need not have worried! Ordered Wednesday, arrived on Saturday…and so far I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Positive Grid!

Poorly made.

So I got my wife to buy this for my birthday, big mistake. After roughly an hour of figuring it out it stopped working. I cant get any useful service and it sounds like It will cost more to have it fixed than it costs to buy new. However I am just a customer, so I'm not being compensated for my review, I'm sure the one I got was made by a 10 year old kid in a sweat shop in India. The one bright spot in this is that it's small and heavy and suits my needs as a door stop. unfortunately $300 is more than I wanted to spend for a door stop. My advise, buy equipment from a reputable company, not the first thing you see from a company who dosent stand behind there products.

I bought a Spark40 amp from positive…

I bought a Spark40 amp from positive grid on the 7th of January 2023 , I received a bag for it on the following day which I thought was quick but hey where is the amp ? First I was given a shipping number and was told it was being delivered by royal mail , put shipping number in Royal mail app and not recognised. Emailed positive grid to be told they had messed up and the shipping number was for Evri ( oh no !!!!! ) it is the 31st of January and I am still waiting for the amp. I will give them their due they have responded to every message I have sent them on their website but I am still left wondering have I been had off for £260 as the last email they sent said " we are sure we have sent it to evri but we are now out of stock ( where does that leave me !!!! ) with a load of messaging i have to do because like with everyone else nowadays there is nobody to speak to . thankfully I bought it through PayPal so feel I will be OK, but really this is shocking customer service. Rewind the clock and take me back to when things used to get done as opposed to people just pinging emails back and forth.

Terrible company to deal with

Terrible company to deal with. Purchased a riff. Upon arrival the "click wheel" is defective, rendering the whole unit unusable. UK Customer service non existent and online (do not respond to emails or phone) and standard overseas response . . "thank you for your email, the relevant team will be in touch within 48hrs". 1 Week later NOTHING surprise surprise. I now have hardware I cannot use and unable to get exchange/refund. Buyer Beware.

Hiding real delays !

I have ordered a spark amp on 25th December directly on positive grid website. They announced at the time having it in stock and expedition within 7days .... Well it's been one whole month since and today I wrote a second e mail to them. They answered that it is out of stock and would be delivered at best by mide February... But I checked their website and they are still announcing it in stock and delivered by 2 February. I think they are purposely hiding that they have 1,5 to 2 months of delay ... Because obviously they would sell less ... Would not recommend ordering from them.

Dreadful company to deal with.

Dreadful company to deal with. £260 spent and all I have is a bag - still no amp after three weeks of chasing it. Customer support is non-existent., the only replies are vague "we are looking into it". I suspect that they have oversold and taken money from people without the ability to fulfil the order. When I ordered it was stated as "in stock" No sign of the amp that I ordered, it seems the only route open to me now is a chargeback via Visa. Deeply disappointed in the awful experience that I have had with this company.

Faulty product no refund

Faulty product - can’t get a refund. I bought a spark amp which on day one is faulty. You start playing a note and after a second the amp sound drops. I googled this issue and the problem has been around since 2021. I’ve chased for months and they still can’t get me a refund label. Really appalling service.

Positive Grid and Spark 40 = 💩

I received a Spark 40 as a Xmas gift in 2021. 6 months later it was not working (popping sound when turning on and off). They sent me a refurbished one as a replacement. 5 months later, that one had so much static and poor sound quality, I had to try to return it. That led to several days of emailing back and forth with their customer service reps. Positive Grid has no phone number and all tech support is done by email from Australia. That means that they only communicate with customers between 11pm and 3am eastern time in the US. It is a total mess to deal with them. From my experience, their products are shoddy and customer support entails days of emailing with someone in Australia. I don't even know if they actually mail people new amps to begin with, or if they just keep rotating refurbished ones around until customers give up. Nice little amp when it is working, but when it goes down, the customer service and tech support is lame. When a company that presents themselves as a tech. company has such a terrible communications platform, well that says it all. They don't even have a phone number. Seriously. A company that started with a cell phone app, and they don't have a phone number. 📵=💩 People should read the BBB complaints against Positive Grid before doing business with them. There are also poor ratings on Glassdoor about Positive Grid.

Website didn't have clear table of what each license tier came with. the reviews on the website itself are inaccessable and you are unable to leave one which suggests to me that the marketing on the site is purposefully vague to goad you into paying more than you had intended to get the features you want after purchase. Refund process could be easier too. the bias fx software itself is ok, clunky UI and barebones at basic level but sounds good.

Spark Mini, love it

Bought the Spark Mini, love it. I had a small issue with the product which was fixed via a firmware update and support were super helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.
